CHAPTER 60: | THE MINIATURE WORLD OF THE FIRST SEGMENT | 16
---
Hours passed as my form mutated from the acquisition of a couple of new skills, but I ignored it, instead I was gazing at my status window with a smirk.
"It seems that some skills here have some potential."
Hearing my voice, Solia gazed at me with curiosity, her innocent smile broadening as she asked in a respectful voice.
"Divine One, could you tell this servants of yours of what intrigues you?"
Solia was pretty much respectful and refined for a titan.
I meet her gaze, smiling softly as I spoke.
"Solia, we are family the moment you acknowledged me as your leader. So, drop the formalities."
Solia nodded, then paused, her gaze distant as she wrestled with how to address me respectfully yet without formality.
A faint smile finally curved her lips, and she began to speak.
"Then, Divine One, may I know of what should I adress you, since this unworthy priestess has yet to know of your great name?"
I chuckled at her response.
Since how could she, a priestess, change her way of addressing me after I'd only asked her once?
It was quite intriguing to see her trying her best to remain respectful, yet I knew her true thoughts since I could read her intent.
Doubt still lingered in her heart, questioning if I was truly divine, for she was a being who served the benevolent Skaira.
So, I simply smiled and suggested.
"Well, you may address me as Alister for now, but... hmm, that's too intimate. so how about calling me 'Master'?"
Solia, with a deadpan expression, as she stared at me with disgust.
Then she crossed her arms over her remarkable assets and said with coldness.
"Divine One, you asked this unworthy priestess of yours to address you casually, so why... are you asking me to call you Master...?"
Then she covered her face with her dainty hands.
Shock and fear contorted in her features as she posed dramatically on the ground, like a helpless beauty against a wolfish man, uttering with dread.
"'Divine One,' do you perhaps... have a fetish...?"
Silence echoed as disgust was visible on Solia's face, as she slowly tried to get away from me, and I sighed.
"Cough. It's not that I have a fetish nor anything like that, it's just that calling me Alister would make it seem like we're in an intimate relationship or something, right...?"
Solia's expression of disgust deepened.
Her gazed was telling me that, as if I were some insect as she respectfully raised her hands.
"'Divine One,' respectfully, this priestess of yours would like to distance myself from you."
Her every word was filled with disgust as she stood, then walked away from me, her face still contorted with revulsion.
I sighed at her reaction, then glared at her with seriousness.
Solia noticing my gaze awkwardly smiled, then returned and sat on the stone platform that I'd shaped.
"Haaah, Solia, stop overthinking! Just call me Alister Von Fai, or maybe just call me whatever you want, you troublesome girl."
Solia, seemingly relieved, let out a sigh as her expression turned serious, then she smiled towards me.
"Then allow me to call you Master."
"..."
This girl...
Is she kidding me right now?
I forced a smile as I glared at her, and Solia smiled like the sun as she whistled while avoiding my eyes.
"You..."
I was about to explode, but I held it in since patience was the key to victory.
Perhaps Solia was just a strange woman after all, right?
Just a strange woman who dramatize and overthinks everything.
Moments passed as Solia gazed at me, then spoke in a soft tone.
"Master, it seems that the Blood Wolf and the White Tiger are coming this way with their respective pack."
Then she gazed at me, waiting for my answer, as I pondered at her words.
I, too, could detect their movements miles away from the summit, running like a maniacs towards here.
"So tell me what are the chances of you guys handling those things?"
Solia hearing my answer pondered for a moment, then confidently answered.
"Master, my apologies, but with our manpower, dealing with even one of the two groups is impossible."
I smiled at her as I patted her shoulder, and Solia blushed, covering her face.
"Master... anhhh... mmmgh..."
"..."
This girl...
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
She seems to be fantasizing about being pinned down, like how a domineering CEO presses the female lead onto a desk or something.
And don't ask me how I know this...
I smiled at her coldly as I flicked her forehead, and she muttered with tears visible on her face as she posed dramatically.
"Master, why? Why did you flick this beautiful priestess's head?"
"..."
"This is getting out of hand."
I muttered as Solia gazed at me with an innocent expression.
I sighed at her display.
"Stop thinking of weird stuff, Solia, and focus on our discussion."
Solia let out a silly smile as she nodded vigorously before standing up, now in her serious mode, as she asked.
"Then, Master, are you confident that you could deal with one of their leaders in under ten minutes?"
I pondered of her question for a bit.
Dealing with one of them would be quite easy if they weren't a speed-type enemy like the Sky Sovereign.
So I shook my head.
"No, I can't finish it in ten minutes."
Solia nodded as if she knew the reason for my answer.
She sighed, then pondered for a while.
Then an idea came to her, and she pointed at me.
"Then perhaps if we sacrificed twenty Titans to buy you an hour, would it be possible, Master?"
I nodded at her solution to the problem, then asked.
"But tell me Solia, is it worth it, to sacrifice half of the Titans just for a chance for us to survive?"
Solia shook her head.
"No, it's not worth it, but it's a necessary sacrifice for us to have a glimmer of survival."
Solia's answer was pretty practical, but I shook my head.
I could just obtain an [Ascension II] Speed skill to deal with the Overseer in a matter of seconds, so it wasn't a big deal, and I guess I was done testing her.
So I smiled, then clapped, as I rustled her hair, which made her pout with annoyance.
"Stop messing with my hair, Master! It's not funny at all!!"
I chuckled, then snapped my finger as a new hologram appeared before me and it was the fusion table.
Then I dragged the necessary skills to fuse, then clicked 'Yes'.

Apex Predator Senses [Passive | Ascension I | ??]
Alister is gifted with Apex Predator Senses, allowing him to detect prey or threats from vast distances through scent, sound, subtle air currents, and an uncanny ability to find weak points. This grants him a highly developed instinct for tracking, ambushing, and exploiting vulnerabilities, manifesting as increased critical hit chances and enabling him to stalk silently and ambush with deadly precision.
Apostle's Aetheric Blood [Passive | Ascension I | ??]
Alister's blood pulses with Apostle's Aetheric Blood, a sacred lineage imbued with divine energy and concentrated aerial mana. This grants him innate resistance to divine, spiritual, and wind-based attacks. It also provides a constant, low-level regeneration of his mana and a minor, constant healing effect while airborne, along with a unique perception of aerial currents to read weaknesses in flying foes. This bloodline enhances the power of his runic armaments and ensures his spirit remains unyielding against overwhelming odds.
Incarnate of the Heavens [Active | 550 - Divine Energy | Ascension II | ??]
Alister undergoes a sacred transformation, becoming the Incarnate of the Heavens. His form shifts into an ethereal, crimson-red manifestation, covered in glowing runic engravings as armaments of unknown divine metal manifest upon him. His griffin features become celestial, imbued with raw wind energy. In this grander state, his physical attributes and divine power are vastly amplified, and his mastery over aerial magic and concussive wind abilities is significantly amplified, preparing him for ultimate, devastating wide-ranging attacks and unparalleled agility, becoming a living tempest ready for any duel.
Savage Lunar Frenzy [Active | 100 Mana | Ascension I | ??]
Alister can undergo a terrifying, rapid transformation, entering a Savage Lunar Frenzy. In this berserk state, his raw physical strength, speed, and agility are dramatically increased, his natural claws and fangs sharpen into razor-sharp weapons, and his primal regeneration boosts for the duration. He unleashes a chaotic flurry of wild, incredibly powerful attacks with weapons or bare hands, often gaining a temporary boost to his speed and resilience, driven by pain or uncontrollable aggression.
Supersonic Aerial Dominion [Passive | Ascension I | ??]
Alister's strength reaches its zenith in the sky. Through unparalleled mastery over wind, his speed, agility, and offensive power are dramatically amplified to near-divine levels, allowing him to effortlessly exceed the speed of sound multiple times over. In aerial combat, he becomes virtually untouchable by lesser beings, his movements creating powerful sonic booms that make him almost impossible to track, intercept, or escape, while his attacks become devastatingly precise.
Tempest Blink Strike [Active | 200 Mana | Ascension I | ??]
Alister transforms his body into a concentrated gale, allowing him to momentarily become pure energy and wind. He moves with incredible swiftness, creating afterimages as he vanishes and reappears meters away from his target. In this incorporeal state, he can bypass most physical defenses and solid obstacles before reappearing to strike with immense concussive force.
Voracious Vortex Maw [Passive | Ascension I | ??]
Alister's maw transforms into a Voracious Vortex Maw, perpetually infused with extreme heat. He can rapidly inhale, creating a powerful, localized whirlpool effect that draws in and disorients foes. Every bite inflicts immense crushing damage, searing deep-tissue burns, and allows him to close his jaws with devastating power on anything caught in the vortex.
---
Then, at my confirmation, the skills fused in an instant, and ecstasy filled my body as I mutated into something powerful yet again.
Minutes passed like that as Solia, seemingly noticing the changes in my body, creased her chin as she asked.
"It seems that Master has a skill that allows the fusion of false ascension skills, am I right?"
I nodded at her question.
Solia was pretty sharp for a Titan, since most Titans wouldn't be able to figure it out, since all of them just want to sleep, eat, and battle their whole lives.
But I guess it was understandable, for she was the Priestess.
Solia then gently touched my chest.
She closed her eyes and inspected my body through her skill, and then she staggered.
"Impressive..."
That was all she could think of.
Her master's body was a culmination of tens of different monsters, a mosaic of various traits from unknown demonic beasts.
She was amazed as she gazed at her master's body, noticing only now that the curves of his muscles were beyond perfect.
She blushed for a moment, then slapped herself.
She was the Priestess of Skaira, and a priestess should stay free from desires to serve her god.
But even if Solia could control her thoughts, her mental state, it just seemed like there were some things that she couldn't control.
And that was her hand pinching my nipples.
I flicked her head again as she snapped out of it.
Then she wiped her drool as she awkwardly smiled.
"Hehehe. It seems that I was in a daze."
Solia took her seat, then gazed back at my nipples as she wiped her drool.
She closed her eyes and shouted in her mind.
'Damnit... those juicy nipples are just too tempting! Maybe, just maybe, Master would allow me to pinch it?'
I shook my head.
Solia's intent was visible just from her face, she was probably thinking of how to pinch my nipples.
So I flicked her forehead as I muttered with disgust.
"Don't even think about it."
Solia pouted as she muttered.
"I didn't even say anything..."
Ignoring Solia, I gazed at my three speed-type skills at [Ascension I].
Then I smiled, as I dragged them together then confirm it.
---
[Would you fuse these skills?]
? Quantum Displacement Tempest Blink Strike + Quaking Pounce
[Yes] / [No]
---
[You have gained.]
? Void Step [Ascension II]
---
Void Step [Active | 250 Mana/Stamina | Ascension II | ??]
Alister transcends physical space, vanishing and reappearing as a streak of violet light. This Void Step allows him to launch himself with earth-shaking force, transforming into a concentrated gale to bypass defenses and solid obstacles. He instantly flanks enemies, escapes impossible situations, closes vast distances with bewildering rapidity, and reappears to strike with immense concussive force, delivering a localized seismic shockwave upon landing that unbalances foes and cracks the very ground beneath them.
---
There was no pain, since it was an active skill.
But before I could even glimpse at the skill descriptions, a shadow fell over me, followed by a violent gust of wind.
As a massive claw loomed inches away from Solia's neck.
I closed my eyes as I muttered under my breath.
"Void Step."
