Chapter 126: Hair Follicles

  Tama

Lyran looked panicked and responded quickly. “No. No…! Nothing like that I swear! It just scans. I didn’t see anything I swear!”

I looked between the two of them and raised an eyebrow. I opened my mouth but Anna spoke up in my head “They are talking about your pubes Tama.”

“Tama’s what?” I asked as I looked down at Anna.

My only response was my gi shimmering as Anna giggled. I looked up at Saki and asked “What are pubes?”

Saki’s eye twitched and she glared at Anna who only shimmered more. “That’s not super important right now Tama, as your friend I can honestly tell you that all your hair is still purple. You don’t need his hair device or Anna to tell you that.”

“But.. Tama wants to..” I started to say but Saki instantly cut me off.

“NO! Not here!” Besides, you just put Anna on, I am she doesn’t want to come off again so soon and in front of others.” She really emphasized the word certain for some reason.

Anna turned my gi see through and three things happened at the same time. Anna giggled harder, Saki covered Lyran’s eyes as her face went red. And Lyran’s hair device began beeping loudly.

I quickly looked down, but nothing seemed out of place. I frowned and asked “Nya! Tama doesn’t see anything bad or scary! Why is Saki scared?”

Saki had forced Lyran out of the room and was locking the door. She turned to face me and said quietly. “Tama, we talked about people seeing you naked and what that meant right?”

I paused and after a moment nodded. “You said we could do that in private!”

Saki looked at me in shock. “That's what you got out of our talk before!” Her ears were standing tall and she looked shocked.

“Nya! Also, Saki said she doesn’t know everything! Maybe this is something Saki doesn’t know!” I said quickly and stepped forward in defiance. “Tama wants to be free of clothes!”

Even as I spoke, Anna lost her transparency. I looked down sadly and Saki shook her head.

“Okay, so, I am just going to pretend this didn’t happen. Lyran got the teleporter working. Getting you to the castle in Trissaile is top priority. We have less than a week at this point and we need to hurry!” As she spoke, she opened the door and pulled Lyran back in who was bleeding from his nose. Saki took one look and she glared. Lyran’s cheeks went super red and he looked away. After a moment Saki whispered in his ear. “Just so you know, my curtains and drapes match too.”

Lyran’s face went even redder and he began coughing violently. Saki smirked at that and looked back at me. “Okay, let's go!”

“Nya! Curtains and Drapes!” I started excitedly.

one of the priestesses still in the room looked puzzled before asking. “Are you asking me?”

Another one smacked the first upside the head. “No you idiot! She was talking about herself!”

The first priestess’s cheeks turned red and she said “Oh.. well.. they do..”

The second priestess and Saki both glared at the first priestess. Lyran simply turned and walked out of the room, his legs looked stiff and he was covering his waist for some reason.

I looked over at Saki. “Tama wants to know what curtains and drapes are!”

Saki seemed to consider for a moment before stating simply. See those pieces of cloth in the windows? Those are curtains. Drapes are a type of curtain.” She seemed pleased with herself.

“So.. Lyran really likes furniture?” I asked in puzzlement.

“Many people love that kind of furniture!” The first priestess said as she grabbed her robes and began to remove them. “Let me show you mine!”

A ball of fae fire suddenly hit the priestess who screamed and fell over. She began patting at the flames and sobbing.

Saki grabbed my arm and said “Oh, it looks like they are busy, Lets go.”

I let Saki drag me out the door and through the pews until we reached the front door of the church. A guard burst through the door with her sword drawn. “My skill picked up someone in danger!” She said emphatically. “Where are they!”

Saki pointed out of the room we just came from and squeezed my arm tighter when I tried to go back. The guard rushed past us and we left the church. I heard Saki mumble under her breath. “This town is just a bunch of perverts”

We made our way back to the guild, only stopping once to get fries! And another when Anna jumped off of me suddenly and possessed a little girl, who instantly ran to the nearest ice cream stand. Saki used an illusion to cover me for some reason then asked me to get Anna back. So I did. Her parents looked very scared when I pushed my hand down the little girl's throat and pulled Anna out. Especially because the possessed little girl giggled the entire time it was happening.

We finally made it to the guild hall, but Saki dragged me down an alleyway to the right and then we took a left. She seemed to count the doors until she reached a large wooden door. “Here we are!” She said happily as she knocked exactly three times.

There was silence and she frowned. She knocked harder and still nothing. She looked over at me and opened her mouth to speak. Before she could however, the door suddenly opened and Lyran stepped out. He had tissue paper in his nose and a bump on his head.

“Sorry! I kind of made a small error in my mana..” He started to say but Saki cut him off.

“Don’t care right now, we have to go. Is everyone ready?” She said quickly as she stepped past him into the building. I followed behind her and Lyran came in after while rubbing the bump on his head.

I reached up to heal the bump, but Saki’s tail grabbed my hand. “No Tama, he deserved that bump. It’s a lesson about looking at other girls like that.”

I frowned but shrugged and walked past Saki to look at the room. Lyran rushed past us and grabbed a small square stone thing off the table. “Based on the readings of the flux and current mass considerations, we should be more than capable of reaching at least the outskirts of Trissiale. Well within a margin of error.” He said excitedly. “Your ability to create tangible illusions has massively sped up this process! Especially when we..”

  Saki’s tail covered his mouth.

“Not in front of Tama yet!” She said seriously.

“Yet?!” Lyran asked in shock. “But earlier you didn’t want me to see her…”

“I didn’t care if you directly saw her in private, with her permission! I cared that you did it in front of others. It makes us look bad!” Saki said defensively.

“Nya! Tama can only be seen by people in private! That’s what Saki said!” I echoed Saki’s words.

Saki smiled and said “Exactly, now then. I shall go first. You said the rocks made it right?”

Lyran nodded and said “Yes, within a margin for error.”

“What kind of margin?” Saki asked as she walked over and grabbed the tablet. As she did. I walked over to a large circle with lots of glowing runes on it. The runes seemed to be made based on my understanding of them. To take a bunch of something and place it.. Somewhere else? I frowned as I noticed the rune that was for somewhere else was wrong. It was supposed to have a box shaped squiggly line near the bottom!

I walked onto the circle, avoiding the glowing ruins and pulled out Serenity. I pushed my energy into her and she glowed gently. Using her power, I drew the missing piece and smiled.

I put Serenity away and turned to step off the circle when it began to glow brighter. I looked over at Saki.

She had turned and was moving in super slow motion. Saki was always slow, but she was slower than normal for some reason. Her mouth was half open and her ears were halfway up as the bright light blinded me.

Suddenly, I was standing on a rock in the middle of a really big field. In the distance was a really big place, even bigger than Dresty! It had a large multi-tower thing coming up from behind the really big walls!

Jumping down from the big rock I was on, I flipped and landed on the soft grass below before dashing towards the big city. As I did, I pulled out the small box Sensei had given me all that time ago. I was finally going to deliver it!

I made my way to the big wall. There was a large gate and lots of people were lined up outside. I looked at the super long line and frowned. Instead, I rushed up to the wall and jumped into the air before blinking a dozen times. I reached the top of the wall and blinked forward a few feet. Landing perfectly on the wall I looked inside and saw a lot of people and buildings. It was so bright and cheery!

“Halt! In the name of Tamaneko, I hereby order you to halt!” A voice suddenly called out. I turned to see a man rushing towards me with a sword in one hand and a shield in the other.

I tilted my head as he rushed towards me and asked “Nya? Tama is here!”
