Remnants of the Fire 5

The car stopped outside the warehouse. Gun looked out through the window and saw the many cars waiting there for him.

Facing forward, he asked, “How bad is it?”

“Terribly bad. Depending on what you say tonight, we might be in for a turf war.” Chips expined to him.

“Why is Troy not here?” He asked.

“Troy’s business is the main business. What happens underground is my business,” he expined.

Gun nodded his head slowly, saying, “It’s already been a long day. Have they arrived safely?”

“Troy will let us know,” he answered.

Sighing, he looked out the window and opened the door. “Let’s go. I don’t need the wheelchair. I can’t let them see me weak now, can I?”

Opening his purse, he took out the gun and pced it behind his back before Chips made his way over and closed the door.

Gun side eyed Chips as he handed him a folded piece of paper. Opening it, he read three names and asked, “Who are they?”

  “Three men inside.”

“Are they a problem?” He asked.

“If you make a good impression on them, then they won’t become a problem.”

“Why was King involved with people who might be a problem?”

“He didn’t know they would become one. They’ve become stronger over the years, but not strong enough.”

“And with him dead now, they will kill me if I don’t make them happy?”

“Not necessarily kill, but I think they will try to take over.”

Gun sighed with a nod as he put on his gsses, “Well, whatever, I’ll see what happens.”

Chips open the door, and immediately they hear buzzing from the conversations being held. When they entered, the talking died down. All eyes were on Chips, who stood at the door staring at them.

He looked behind him at Gun. He wanted to see if there was any fear on his face, but he was as calm as day—it looked like it, at least. He had gsses on and you couldn’t really see it.

Gun looked at him, asking, “Aren’t we going in?”

  “Before me,” he simply said.

Gun sighed and walked past him. The only thing they could hear was the sound of his bck thigh-high boots ccking against the cement.

The men inside were sitting on metal chairs in two rows with the big bosses in front. All of them had their eyes on Gun, who was poised and dolled up, looking out of pce.

Stopping in front of the two rows, each consisting of twenty-five seats each, he smiled at them. “I see everyone is here.”

There was no response, but they were responding with their gazes, watching him for any signs of who knows what.

Scratching his nose twice, he looked. He tilted his head as he took off his gsses, “So you all got my invitation, yet you aren’t greeting me? Fine, I don’t mind. All those who are uninterested in continuing your partnership with Sons of God, please feel free to leave right now. I assure you nothing will happen to you.”

His eyes scanned across the group of males and none of them made a move–still anticipating his next move.

Nodding his head slowly as he licked his lips, continuing, “Since everyone is still seated, let me reintroduce myself to you. Some of you already know me, but let’s go deeper into this.”

Handing the gsses over to Chips, then turning around and pcing his hands behind his back, he paced before them saying, “I am Gun—a fitting weapon for the King of Thaind. He and I share. Shared a bond of which some can guess—we were in a retionship, a difficult one, a secret retionship.”

Stopping, he looked at them, saying, “In simple terms, yes, I’ve been fucking him—I fucked him so good that he left your lives in my hands.”

“And that’s supposed to make us feel better? King was his name among us, he—”

“And I will be the emperor. If you interrupt me again, I will not be so nice. I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to speak to you and I do not want to look at you. The thought of having to deal with you makes me sick, but he was proud the moment I became interested in his life and unfortunately, my wish to get married died when he did.”

Feeling that he was becoming emotional, he calmed himself down. Taking in a deep breath, he said, “I know what I need to know, and I’m not afraid of killing you. You can choose now if you want to be my enemy or continue your partnership with SOG and under no circumstances will I tolerate any bullshit. I know King used to allow you a period in which you do things, but remember, I am not him. All those who need to pay their dues, I expect it in two days as your vanity towards us. Any ter will not be accepted. Chips here will be our middleman and I must remind you, I’m not in the least the nicest person you’ll meet. Speaking of which, we are missing someone, aren’t we?”

The members looked around and only now did they notice that a seat wasn’t here, which should have been.

They looked back at Gun and saw that he was looking at Chips.

Chips nodded his head, confused, then left Gun with the other men and women.

Gun looked at them calmly, saying, “I see everyone is still in their seats. I take it you won’t be leaving.”

One of the men opened his mouth to speak but Chips interrupted him as he brought the missing associate in who had his mouth taped with his hands behind his back.

They stopped in front of Gun, who was staring at him with a smile.

Chips made him kneel in front of everyone.

Calmly, Gun looked ahead of him, saying, “This man had the audacity to send his men to one of our shipping containers. And I know he isn’t the only one who made a move on us—he’s just the weakest link since SOG needs the others who made moves on us.”

Gun stared on and saw some shift in their seats. Taking the gun from behind him, and held it pointed to his head. Looking at the crowd before them, he said, “Say your goodbyes.”

The man on the ground began to panic. Before he could even make a sound, the gun in Gun’s hand went off. The body dropped to the ground and blood pooled at his feet.

Looking at the blood, he mumbled, “Will it stain my shoes?”

As Chips was about to answer him, they heard screeches. He looked up at Gun, saw that they were standing. Looking at them, he raised a brow. “And what do you all want?”

Chips smirked as he watched them all bow to their leader.

Gun raised his hands like the Queen he is and asked, “So since he was King, how about you call me Emperor?”

“I think he would have liked you to take the name King,” Chips said as they walked out.

Gun nodded, “We can go with that too.”
