A t.v was lit on in a dark room pying a news report of a funeral. Watching the t.v you can see a young man being rolled into the room where the funeral was proceeding. The cameras fshed as the news reporters made guesses to who the man in the wheelchair was.
Speeches after speeches were made, then finally the man in the wheelchair went on stage.
Walking with heavy steps. He reached for the microphones and stood in front of everyone. Looking at them, he smiled and reached for his gsses. It looked like he was about to take them off, but then suddenly he didn’t. Pcing his hand on the stand, he looked at the paper his speech was written on, then sighed; he was told before by the manager of the Public Retions team that he needed to make a speech and, as he was going over the words, he didn’t agree with it.
Sighing with a shake of his head, he said, “Many of you don’t know me and I don’t think you should put into words how and why I am standing here because I am somehow reted to the mystery that is Kai Diloknawarit.”
Pausing, he rubbed the tip of his nose trying his best to not let his emotions get the best of him. Continuing, “When I met him, I never thought for a day that I’d be here today with you all to celebrate his life. In fact, I thought that that day would be the first and final chance I would meet him but then I met him again in Singapore and I guess that’s when I knew my fate would change—it sounds so strange thinking about this and saying it out loud, actually admitting to it.”
Licking his lips, he sighed, exhaling very loudly as he nodded his head slowly. “Kai Diloknawarit, we y him down to rest today.” Turning to his picture that was put up, he mumbled, “I hope you didn’t die in pain.”
Turning back to the crowd of cameras, he looked at the people that were here that shouldn’t be, then took off his gsses. Smiling, he said, “I know that some of you, especially those of the business world and others who know Kai Diloknawarit. Certainly if you wish to know, you are welcome to visit me at Kai Technologies Ltd. to have a little chat. As from today or should I say the day, his death was announced to the world, I will be taking over it—shareholders, business partners and the rest of you, I am very much informed so please allow me a period of twelve days to mourn and in this period you are welcome to leave your questions and doubt at my feet.”
He turned to Chips and Troy, who were standing by the wheelchair, and smiled at them. Holding his hand out, he said, “Troy, please.”
Troy nodded his head and walked up to him. Stepping beside him, Gun said, “You can take over now, let's proceed.”
Troy nodded and waited for Gun to sit down in the wheelchair. He sighed in deep pain, then put on his gsses again and looked up at Chips. With a smile, he whispered something and Chips nodded.
The funeral went on with many questions flying around, especially for this man who so arrogantly spoke to the business partners and associates of Kai Technologies Ltd.
The t.v suddenly turned off, and the room was as dark as a moonless sky. Breathing could be heard if you listened hard enough. Then the sound of footsteps followed disappearing behind a door that banged shut.
