Chapter 51: Why This Message…
(Ria’s POV)
Messaging the others, I learned that each of Celia’s wives got the same one. Why did she send out something like this? Judging from the Guild Menu of the System, her health was perfect, and no one could go against her in that dimension.
Ria: “Did you leak Celia’s health to her?”
Faith: “Why would I even think of doing that?”
Zia: “Then… why did she send such a message?…”
Sending her the screenshots of the messages that Celia sent to her wives, I waited for Faith to explain why this happened.
Faith: “Oh, she confessed her love to me.”
Ria: “How is Celia’s adultery connected in the least!?”
Faith: “It isn’t adultery! We haven’t had sex, and won’t until her next life.”
Ria: “…”
Faith: “Celia is a very loving and fair wife, so, after saying that she loves me, Celia must have done the same to you all.”

Hm… knowing Celia, that is something that she would do. But… I can’t help but be jealous of Faith. That woman gets 24/7 access to my wife…
Faith: “Are you two jealous? Don’t be.”
Zia: “How can we not be jealous?”
Faith: “Celia agreed to sleep with me in the future. This means that she will get actual rest from now on. That is, when she does sleep.”
Zia: “…”
Ria: “That doesn’t explain why we shouldn’t be jealous.”
Faith: “I can’t touch her.”
Ria: “…”
Oh… Yes, there is nothing for me to be jealous of, then. Faith cannot have sexual relation with Celia, and I can understand how painful such a thing would be. Remorse for her… is all that I feel now, not even a hint of jealousy.
Ria: “I am sorry for being rude.”
Faith: “It’s fine. Just get through the game, and then enjoy your remaining time with her. Celia will be mine in her next life, and I will treat her absolutely right. Forgive me for saying this, as I don’t think ill of any of her wives, but I will not fail her, like you all did.”
Zia: “We failed her, yes. That isn’t something that we can deny in the least. Though Lia does get a pass, as she is much younger than most of Celia’s wives.”
Faith: “For far too long, Higher Beings had strung Celia along, and that is still true even now. In her next life, she will be free. If something wishes to entrap her once more… then I don’t mind if I have to destroy all of existence to regain Celia’s freedom.”
Ria: “And you very much have our respect for this, Faith. You and Maralia can save her where we failed to do so. But for now… she is ours.”
Faith: “I know. Enjoy her to the fullest. I know that I will when it is my time to be with her.”
Informing the others on why Celia had sent those messages, Zia and I were lost in thought. Faith’s words were harsh, but very much true. We had unknowingly failed Celia… Until she dies, we will just have to do everything in our power to make her happy…
