Chapter 40: The Little Chain Smoker That Could.
(Celia’s POV)
Gel: “Stop fussing over me already! I’ve done this countless times before.” She pouted.
Celia: “…”
The girl refused my treatment, which sucked. I could force healing magic on her, but since I think that Gel has cancer, doing so would just hurt her. Gel needs a thorough examination by me, and only then can I heal her.
Celia: “Let me guess… you spit up blood after smoking?” I reply with my arms crossed.
Gel: “I do. What is up with the cigarettes of this dimension? I mean, I know that it is apocalyptic, but why are the cigs so poisonous?” She replied, still pouting.
Celia: “Perhaps in a very advanced dimension, fully safe cigarettes exist, but not in this world.” I say with a sigh.
Gel: “No, no. That shouldn’t be it at all! Even in medieval dimensions, their cigs never made me cough up blood like this.” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “…”
What is she talking about? Gel doesn’t seem to be stupid, so why is she acting like her not being a higher race anymore, isn’t the reason why she got sick from smoking? It goes without saying, but tens of thousands of used cigarettes were in this hotel room of hers… What’s her Status say?

Faith: “She was originally a slime! That’s why smoking didn’t make her sick.” She said with a laugh.
Why do you find this funny??? Whatever… I need to convince Gel that she should get treated. If she keeps this up, then she will end up dying a very sad death.
Celia: “You used to be a slime, right?” I ask.
Gel: “I did. But what does that matter?” She replied.
Celia: “Humans can get cancer from smoking, which is what is killing you right now. If you do not get treatment… then you will die.” I explain with a serious tone.
Gel: “Really? Are human bodies really so weak?… Slime bodies are better!” She pouted, angrily stomping the floor with her dainty feet.
After a lot of coaxing, as, despite being a heavy smoker, Gel was very childish, I was finally able to convince her to get treated. Since I assumed that she would just continue to smoke, even after I safely healed her cancer away, I did more.
Before letting her join my guild and letting Gel go free from the game, I had her eat a lot of those Level Up Crystals. Ignoring my previous words, as I was worried for her, I used my divinity to speed up Gel’s evolutions.
By the time that I she left my side, Gel had evolved into a Supreme Slime Goddess. Gel was very happy about having a slime body again, and she thanked me greatly before she left. Kids like her are so exhausting to deal with…
