Chapter 39: Snooping Around.
(Celia’s POV)
After leaving the woman who was at the front desk, still confused to all hell, I left. I didn’t leave the hotel, though. After all, I had many targets here left to reap (recruit) into my guild; you know.
Since I didn’t wish to be labeled a pervert, I turned invisible, and then stalked around the hotel. Going floor to floor, and as it was nighttime, I could tell that almost all of the rooms had people in them right now.
Faith: “So many players are here in this hotel… Surprisingly, you ended up buying the best hotel in this city, it seems.” She added with a laugh.
Celia: “I guess so…” I reply with a sigh.
Do these people not realize how close other players are to them? This hotel, that is, going by the information of it that I learned from peeping through Neriah’s office, 500 rooms in this hotel.
In those 500 rooms… over 100 of them were occupied by players. Most of them seemed to be greatly weak, but there was one very strong girl, who I decided to leave for last. Ah, and that is 100 female players, I mean. There are even more male players living here…

I have no hatred towards men, so like before, I won’t go out of my way to kill them. If they end up wanting to kill me… only then I will act against them.
Considering how long this part of the game is supposed to be, such a fight will probably only happen many years from now. And, no. I will not kill them outright, even if they’ll end up being my enemies in the future.
Knock!
Little Girl: “Y-yes?” She asked after opening the door, and with a very scared tone and expression on her cute, childish face.
Celia: “May I come in? Your act isn’t that believable.” I reply with my arms crossed.
Little Girl: “Damn…” She scoffed in reply.
Perhaps she noticed that I was far stronger than her, but she then just easily let me inside of her room. Once inside… the room smelled heavily of smoke. The girl was clearly a long-lived Higher Being, but seeing a little girl act like a chain-smoker is… ungoddessly funny!
Celia: “Smoking is bad for your health.” I say with a stern tone.
Gel: “Ha! You sound just like one of my ex-husbands… and or ex-wives. My name is Gel, and like you, I am a player of this silly game.” She said with a laugh, before then lighting up another cigarette.
Celia: “Hey, really, you should stop! Smoking is bad for adults, and with this child body, you’ve probably given yourself cancer by now.” I say with a motherly tone, snatching the cig from her mouth.
Gel: “What’s cancer?” She asked with a confused head tilt.
Celia: “…”
Before I could reply to her crazy question, the girl started to spit up blood like crazy. What the hell!? Was she attacked by another player, or something like that? Regardless of what happened, I must save her right away!!!
