Volume 6. Chapter 35: Backend Work. (Chapter 536.)

  Chapter 35: Backend Work.

  (Maralia’s POV)

Celia is fine for now, as she will do as I asked of her. Even if some might think otherwise, she is a good girl. Perhaps if Lia asked something like that of her, Celia would be harder to convince.

But when it is me, she will listen. Celia is practically the perfect woman to have more than one spouse. As a switch, she can be dominant, as well as submissive. Which works great for Nia, Ria, Zia, and a few of her other wives, and me.

She is okay, but I am very curious as to why this oddity happened with the game. Like the others, even if she was the most powerful, Celia shouldn’t have had to wait for so many years to actually play in this part.

And on top of that, Celia shouldn’t have kept her full Status after starting the third part of the game. Since I was curious, I went to ask this to the one person who should know the answer.

Midas: “I have no idea.” She flat out admitted.

  Maralia: “…”

Midas was wearing an oddly cute lab coat, which she pulled off quite well. With her power being restored via Celia healing her soul, Midas went back to her roots. As such, she was doing various research into… a lot of different topics; I suppose.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

Midas: “I have a guess, though.” She added with a giggle after my long silence.

Maralia: “Well?” I reply with a slightly impatient tone.

Midas: “The game truly wishes to die by Celia’s hand, so it is rigging the game in her favor to an absurd degree. If one of the staff members tried to prevent this help, the game would just do something else crazy.” She proposed with a serious tone.

Maralia: “That is my guess as well…” I say with an unsatisfied sigh.

Midas: “The game clearly is doing some extreme favoritism toward Celia, so this is most likely the truth of the matter.” She replied with a shrug.

Unfortunately, Midas didn’t provide me with any other answer, besides the one that I already also assumed. What a bother… I hate it when I can’t see who is pulling the strings with things like this…

Maralia: “Will you truly be Celia’s wife in the far distant future?” I ask with a curious tone.

Midas: “I have yet to properly thank her for what she did for me, and even becoming a loving and protective wife to Celia… won’t even come close to doing so.” She answered with a serious tone.

Maralia: “That wouldn’t truly be love, though?” I say with a raised eyebrow.

Midas: “Loving her now is irresponsible, Maralia. It goes without saying, but I am also doing this as a selfish act. Ask yourself this question: who wouldn’t want to be Celia’s wife?” She replied with a laugh.

  Maralia: “…”

Midas: “My answer to this self proposed question… is what your answer would be as well. Taking Celia as a wife would be amazing, and I will enjoy it when the time comes.” She added with a bright smile.

With Midas not having anything else to say, I left her side, and then I went back to deal with my duties. Celia… please just not cause chaos for five minutes, I beg of you!…
