Chapter 87: Fetch Quest 9000...
(*Celia’s POV*)
Soma expihat she knew of a fellow a dragon that tried going into Brimo. She survived, but fidently didn’t care about the various wounds the zombies inflicted upon her. Within days, that a dragon turned into a Rot A Dragon. Soma wasn’t able to kill her and end her misery, and to this day, Soma doesn’t even know if she is still alive.
As such, she stayed far away from Brimo, as she didn’t want to turn into such a creature. Which is one of the main reasons why Soma lives in a volo. Apparently, the undead really don’t like warmth, so they would stay well away from a volo.
Celia: “Hey Soma, what with the boulders?” I ask with a curious tone.
Soma: “Just me being upset at your flirting.” She replied.
Celia: “But why?” I ask again.
Currently, we were flying to Brimo while riding on Soma. She said that she would drop us off near it, but not directly over it. She didn’t want to take any risks, after all. Of course, Soma clearly doesn’t mind if we’re the oaking risks, though…
Soma: “I dow, but Teren, the woman that I slept with for the elixirs, well, she was my first love. I don’t know if Solia mentiohis, our kind, we usually mate for life. Sieren died, my sex drive remained, but I just couldn’t bring myself to sleep with aher than her.” She expined with a sad tone.
Ria: “Do you have any idea why she didn’t bother with the elixir? At the very least, it would make her immortal.” She asked with a curious tone.
Soma: “I have no idea. By the time I heard about what happeo Brimo, it was already too te for me to save Teren.” She answered.
In just an hour, we arrived just outside Brimo’s walls. Soma refused to nd, so we had to jump off of her and fly down. She quickly flew away, and now it was just Ria, me, and this giant wall that separates us from the undead.
Celia: “How do we get in?” I say with a thinking pose.
The walls weren’t the only thing preventing things from esg etting into Brimo. Above the giant walls was a barrier the surrouhe open air of Brimo. Basically, it was almost impossible to get into it.
Ria: “Look for holes. The barrier has degraded after many years, we should be able to find some ots in the barrier because of that.” She expined.
You know… this wall is kinda weird… Why does it look like a modern brick wall? Iween the bricks was clearly a material simir to crete. Which is weird, as only my ti should be aware of such a method of building a structure. Not even June’s kingdom knew of this method…
Creatood find, Celia!” She said with a thumbs up.
Ria: “Not you again…” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “Creator? What do you mean?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Creator: “This wall was clearly made with knowledge not known by this nd. Funnily enough, Teren was the oo make the wall, and she is also the ohat made that teleportation array ba your ti.” She expined.
Ria: “So, Teren was a transmigrater?” She proposed.
Creator: “So it would seem… Ah, I just looked into the future, I won’t spoil anything, but you two should head inside Brimo already. This is going to be so eaining!” She said with aed tone before vanishing.
Ria: “…”
Celia: “…”
We kinda didn’t want to find out what the Creator was so excited about, but we had to enter Brimardless of our hesitation. We flew up to the barrier, and we walked around it for a while. In only a few minutes, we ended up finding a ot of the barrier, to which we cut into.
Flying down the wall from the inside, we were beyond fused. The barrier blocked out your vision into Brimo, so peared before us was super fusing, to say the least…
Ria: “Eaining indeed…” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “…”
What the fuck? City of the dead? Well, that would still be accurate, but that isn’t telling the whole story. Brimo wasn’t destroyed, and it seemed well maintaihe reason for this was simple, the undead weren’t mindless zombies, but were rotting living beings…
Not to be rude, but this pce truly smelled horrible… The residents of this pce seem to wear heavy clothing, robes, and also they had masks on. Most likely to try to ignore and hide their rotting appearance.
Random Undead Woman: “Don’t be deceived, young women. We might be sane, but our virus will still turn you into an undead like us. I’d advise for you two to leave as soon as possible.” She advised.
The undead woman quickly walked away after her warning. As for us, before leaving, Ria was detly sure that the cure that Amelie made a few years ago, which we all took, will work for these undead as well. As such, we weren’t afraid of getting turned into a zombie. The Creator likes to pop up more, and she even firmed our theory as well.
Ria: “Celia, we haven’t slept for a while. Why don’t we go to an inn and sleep for today?” She suggested.
Celia: “Okay, let’s go with your pn.” I reply.
We didn’t rest at all during the whole waiting for Soma’s answer event, so we were pretty tired. Look, everemely overpoddess, Ria, gets tired. I won’t be embarrassed by being sleepy…
Luckily, the people of this closed off city still used Celestium for their currency. And the most of end uh… inn? Was only a few Ptinum Celestium for a night. It seems that the undead don’t need sleep, so we were the only ones actually renting out a room.
Ria: “Remember those anti undead gear that you got a while back?” She asked.
Celia: “I do. What about them?” I reply.
Ria: “They should work for these undead, but I don’t want to be rude. Though, I still put them around the windows and the door, just in case someone wants to mess with us.” She expined.
Celia: “Good thinking!” I reply with a thumbs up.
With that, Ria and I got into bed. You would think that we’d have a hard time sleeping in such a pce, but we quickly fell asleep. While dreaming, I had a wet dream about Ria… And I knew for a fact that it was Ria who gave me such a dream! God, I love my wife…
