Verde Emerys is the Lord of the Frimasvale, located in the frostbitten winter lands up north. After being slain in battle, Verde awakes to realise that he is merely a side villain in a mediocre romance novel, an obstacle for the novel''''s true protagonist: his sister, Adelaise Emerys. To his horror, his beloved sister betrayed him and ran off to the neighbouring enemy kingdom, where she proceeded to become entrapped in a love triangle between the opposing kingdom''''s charismatic prince and stoic knight. Enraged, Verde swore to change the plot of the novel, declaring that he could create a far more interesting story. As if the gods were listening, he was swiftly swept back in time, awakening before the pivotal moment that sent the dominoes crashing down towards his fated demise. As Verde works to dismantle the story piece by piece and restore his relationship with his sister, he finds that he now has several wrenches in his plans. Namely his reputation as a harsh and miserly ruler, and his cold personality that made him such an unlikeable character in the first place. Worse, he now has to work with Wulfe, a knight who despises nobles, who is the secondary male lead to his sister''''s love triangle. Unfortunately for Verde, Wulfe also happens to be the man who killed him in his previous life. Note: This is my first attempt at a long-form novel. I''''m posting the first few chapters as a sort of interest check on here, before moving on to properly publishing it. I have had a few kind people beta for me, however please let me know if there are any spelling/grammar errors.
