  Mili ughed, a bright and melodic sound that filled the air between them. “Well, it’s ly something I broadcasted. I wao keep it a bit under s until I was sure I could actually participate.” She gave him a pyful h her elbow, her expression pyful yet determined. “But now that I’ve itted to it, I’m all in!” Her excitement alpable, and James couldn’t help but feel proud of her for taking on such a challenge.

  “Yeah! I’ve been training hard,” Mili tinued, her tone shifting slightly as she began to speak about her dedication to the sport. “I’ve been waking up early to get ira rides before school and spending my weekends on lorails. There are some tough petitors, but I’m determio give it my all.” The fire in her voice was undeniable, and James could see the resolve etched on her face as she spoke. She was fully itted, ready to face whatever challenges y ahead.

  James could picture her pedaling fiercely, rag against the wind, and the image made him smile. “That’s so cool! I totally see you out there, flying past everyone like a superhero on wheels!” he excimed, exaggerating his movements for edic effect, pretending to zip through the air. “I already hear the announcer: ‘And here es Mili, leaving her petition in the dust!’”

  Mili ughed, her cheeks flushing slightly at the pliment. “If only it were that gmorous! But seriously, I’m really looking forward to it. It’s not just about winning, though. I want to push myself and see how far I go.” Her passion was evident, and it inspired James to think about his own goals for the finals. He could rete to that drive, the desire to not just pete but to truly challenge oneself.

  “Sounds like you’re in for an adventure!” he said, raising his cup in a mock toast. “Here’s to you, the cyg champion!” His pyful demeanhtehe mood, making Mili chuckle as she ked her iced tte against his cappuo, the sound of their cups a small celebration of each other’s aspirations.

  Mili grinned, her fidence shining through. “Thanks! Just wait until you see me in a; I’ll be the one zooming past, hair flowing in the wind—” she made a dramatic gesture, pretending to toss her hair back like an athlete in a ercial, and they both burst into ughter at her antics. “But seriously, it means a lot to have your support.”

  “Always!” James replied, his expression sincere again as he took another sip of his drink. “Just promise me you won’t fet about us mere mortals when you bee an iional cyg sensation.” He feigned a look of desperation, pg a hand over his heart as if he would be heartbroken if she didn’t reize him once she was famous.
