Before the frequency went off, Chuck was comfortably inside of his chrysalis form in the dumpster outside of the water plant.
As the frequency blasted out. Chuck was forced out of his chrysalis form by a maddening hunger. He felt only a little smarter; not nearly enough to remember more than his own name. He was smart enough, however, to realize he was being controlled by his instincts, but that wasn’t a bad thing to him.
HUNGRY
Emotions. They were an unfamiliar, yet curious thing. Something primal and powerful beyond comprehension. They filled him and it was a sensation unlike anything else. Chuck had no memory, but he would have remembered a feeling like this.

To feel
To feel alive.
It was more than Chuck could ever put into words, but it need not be described. All he needed to do was embrace it.
HUNGRY!
Chuck trilled with glee as he dove head first into the experience of emotions and let his hunger take over entirely. He let go and allowed the thrill of the hunt to drive him to tear through the trash bag, climb out of the garbage pile and search with a ravenous delight for his next meal.
It was only a matter of time before he found his next victim.
