CHAPTER 62: | THE MINIATURE WORLD OF THE FIRST SEGMENT | 18
---
Time passed as Drao waited for me to catch my breath.
His gaze was filled with excitement as he stomped his foot on the pillar, making it collapse from the sheer force of his stomp.
Then he walked into the air, unhinged, as the wind all around him gathered into his body.
They coagulated into hands hovering on his back.
As he then took a step, appearing three meters away from me, and smiled softly.
Drao gazed at me as the wind swayed gently.
The ray of the sun was slowly dimming, and darkness began to shroud the world.
Night was approaching as Drao and I were in a standstill, gazing at each other.
He then extended his hand for a handshake.
But as I was about to reach for his hand, Drao's lips curved deeper as the hands behind his back balled into a fist before they unleashed a flurry of explosive punches at me as Drao shouted.
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!"
Drao's punches were too heavy for me to receive.
As mana invigorated my flesh as my palm turned orange.
I then used [Mantis State] along with [Mad Gate] as I received his every attack.
The wind exploded violently with our every exchange.
The rubble around us began to fly away from the sheer impact of his fist as the dust scattered violently, and Drao then shouted.
"MUDADA MUDA!!!"
Amidst the barrage of punches, Drao unleashed a single explosive attack that nearly tore my palm from my hand.
But before I could recover from the impact, Drao unleashed another barrage as he shouted.
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!"
The wind exploded with our every exchange as veins popped on my forehead.
I clenched my teeth till my gums bled, and I couldn't help but curse internally.
'Damnit! How! How does this guy have an incomplete [Soul Stand]?! Damnit, just how could he possess such power that is only available at [Stage 3]? Damnit!!!'
[Soul Stand] was a unique power that could only bloom at [Stage 3], or perhaps only from the world of [Stand Users], was it possible to possess this power through an arrow that could awaken your [Soul Stand]?
That was only available at [Stage 3].
It was intriguing, but this was nonsense, as how could Drao possess a [Soul Stand] this early on?
Even though it was incomplete since he could only summon its hands, still, how?
So how could he possess it as a mere [Stage 1]?
The answer to that question was pretty simple, either it is an ascension skill or a rare evolution that his skill evolved into.
The most logical answer to that was the latter, since getting an ascension skill this early on was an impossibility itself.
I gazed at the wind-coagulated fist with interest as I read its intent, to see if there was any way that I could copy it or find its weakness to destroy it in one go.
But there was no weak point in the fist, since the only way to dispel it was to either kill the host or completely overpower it.
But the problem was my not having enough firepower to do both... or did I?
I smiled as I couldn't help but think of the [Torrent of Extinction] firepower, but shook my head in the next seconds.
As it was too dangerous to use at this range, and I didn't want to end this right now, since fighting a [Soul Stand] would provide me some useful data for me to study so that I could replicate it.
But soon I shook my head as copying it was impossible right now.
Perhaps after I devoured it, modifying it would be easy since I would have the general knowledge of how to use it.
Though its firepower fell short of an [Ascension Skill], it was still a force to be reckoned with, since every punch it released could easily tear steel apart.

I couldn't help but chuckle as the force of its attacks was now chipping away the flesh of my palm.
The bones in my body vibrated, making it extremely painful, but still, I defended his every attack.
Now, I could keenly gauge my strength, which was as strong as a [Stage 1 High Sovereign], not like the Sky Sovereign, since it was a [Stage 1 Low Sovereign] in terms of firepower.
I couldn't help but smile as my hand moved like the waves of the sea.
My palm intercepted every attack of Drao as the wind exploded violently.
Drao's smile widened as he shouted.
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!"
His attacks became more violent, like a storm, as we exchanged thousands of attacks in a second.
Drao shouted again, fully immersed in his 'MUDAMUDAMUDA,' and I smiled as blood seeped from my mouth, as I shouted.
"Damnit!!! Stop shouting, you motherfucking bastard!!!"
But Drao only chuckled as his lips curved even deeper.
He slowly walked towards me, backing me into a corner even when there was no wall, and shouted like a maniac.
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDADAMUDA..."
His shouts continued as, finally, the impact that I've gathered was enough to activate the [First Stage] of [Demonic Dragon Claw].
The sound of a gong echoed.
Gong!
Drao stopped his barrage then gazed at me.
But as the flesh in my palm began to regenerate rapidly, he just chuckled as he then shouted his signature words.
"MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!"
The ground quaked violently as Drao attacked with renewed vigor.
He now didn't care about his mental exhaustion nor mana depletion, as the force of his attacks was now strong enough to dent a bar of adamantine.
Now, the newly regenerated tissues on my palm tore apart as blood and flesh flew everywhere.
The wind rippled violently at our every exchanges, but instead of his attacks weakening, they became heavier as I bit my lips and continued until my hand burned from pain.
The magma flowing inside my veins exploded as I bled from the seven orifices.
But I endured since there was nothing that I could do right now.
Then minutes passed.
What was left on my palm was bones, but I continued to block his every attack like fluid water as my lips curved into a smile.
Gong!
Another sphere of impact hovered above my head as I clenched my hand.
Then met his [Soul Stand] with my fist as I muttered.
"Mountain Torrents"
Now, I was combining [Tripod Barrage] with [Mad Gate] to create a new set of my own martial arts tailored to me.
The first move of this very own martial arts was [Mountain Torrents].
But the problem of this form was its too much for my body to handle it.
The flesh on my knuckle began to peel away from every exchange as the concussive force of our attacks made the very bones on my body vibrate.
My flesh was bruised again and again before it could recover.
But Drao continued to spam his attacks.
He punched and punched again as he now sat on a chair, drinking a coffee while his incomplete [Soul Stand] intercepted my fist.
He smiled, then raised a cup as he offered.
"Well, how about a drink, my friend?"
"..."
What the heck was this guy saying right now?
Bruh, this guy is enjoying a leisure time drinking his coffee while I'm here blocking his [Soul Stand] every attack, with my bones painfully vibrating from every impact.
But I couldn't help but find his odd behavior funny.
Earlier, he was shouting about his brother from a different mother, then spammed his 'MUDAMUDAMUDA,' and now he was sitting and taking his time in leisure.
So I asked.
"Does him being your sworn brother... only amount to this?"
But Drao just took a sip as he smiled, then put a cube of sugar as he then glanced at me being beaten black and blue.
He answered with interest.
"Well, maybe we are, or maybe not? It's not like we're born from the same mother, right? Since we've only become sworn brothers after I've subdued him a few days ago?"
I chuckled at his response.
"Well, fair enough."
Drao too chuckled as he took a whiff of the breeze, or maybe too much breeze, as the concussive impact of our clashes made the ground tremble.
So, what problem is there when that wind spilled his coffee into his face?
But he just poured another and took another sip as he offered.
"Are you sure that you don't want a sip, my good brother?"
I only smiled gently at his gentleman-like behavior, a contrast to Xillan's behavior, as I refused him again.
Drao read my intent.
He too was well accomplished in the world of intent, as he was probably at the realm of [Intent of Oneself] since he could cover his intents to remove his skills' weaknesses.
I gazed at my fist with a serene expression.
My hands were now shredded of their flesh, with only muscles remaining, as blood exploded from my hands with our exchanges.
Pain could be felt on my body, as perhaps it was time to use that skill to finish this fight.
Drao, reading my intent, stored his items in the inventory.
He then stood, gazed at me with calmness, and smiled.
"Then let us, fellow brother, finish this duel in a single blow."
Drao retracted his incomplete [Soul Stand] as he fused it with his own body.
He then took a weird stance while smiling.
I chuckled at his display as the blood that was all over the battlefield gathered above my head, forming into a red moon as my newly learned and modified technique was born.
It was a combination of [Blood Moon Finality] along with [Demonic Dragon Claw], with the blood moon combining into the sphere of impact by the [Mad Gate], turning it into a completely new technique called [Demonic Sea].
It was a combination of [Blood Moon Finality, Demonic Dragon Claw, and Mad Gate] to form this new technique.
It was still incomplete, but this should do.
As I activated [Savage Lunar Frenzy], my hair turned white as I had now entered a state of controlled berserk.
Then six angelic wings sprouted from my back as I jumped into the air, then smiled as I then dove towards Drao.
Then I activated [Void Step], as my speed surpassed sound.
In the next millisecond I reappeared inches away from him as I shifted my body, then muttered.
"Demonic Sea."
Shifting my body in that split millisecond, I released an explosive kick as Drao's fist blocked it.
As he shouted with excitement.
"Vajra Vayu Nirvana!!!"
My feet and his fists met as Drao's fist crackled with heavenly lightning.
The ground where he stood exploded, then caved in as Drao was pushed into the ground.
He blocked the impact of my attack as blood gushed from his seven orifices, and he coughed a bucket of blood.
But before I could celebrate my victory, my femur exploded from the strain that I was putting my leg into as a sharp pain ground on my nerves.
But I pressed on as Drao tried to grab my feet but soon screamed in pain as the bones in his arms snapped one by one.
He was sent crashing into the ground.
Crash!!!
The ground crumbled as sediments exploded everywhere, creating a fog that covered hundreds of meters as Drao coughed.
"Impressive..."
His left hand and his chest were torn apart and crushed into the ground by the sheer impact of my attack as he lost from his single mistake.
Drao's heart stopped working as his vision blurred with each passing second.
He muttered in his final breath.
"Mudaa....."
Maybe give it a try? ??
