Arc I: The Awakening — Climax
Smoke rolled across the battlefield like a living thing.
Ash drifted through the air, glowing faintly as fires burned in the distance. The ground was cracked, scorched, scarred by countless impacts—proof that humanity had stood its ground… barely.
Then—
Two silhouettes emerged.
The smoke parted as if pushed away by an invisible force.
Victor and Leo walked forward, calm and unhurried, their presence alone bending the air around them.
Mr. Stone, kneeling on one knee with blood trickling down his temple, looked up in disbelief. His breath hitched.
“…I thought I was a goner,” he muttered. “Where the hell were you two?”
Tom’s eyes lit up.
“YESS!! LET’S GOOO!”
Jackson slammed his fist into the air. “ABOUT TIME!”
Leo cracked his neck once. “Talk later,” he said flatly, eyes already scanning the battlefield. “First—we clean this mess.”
Selena tightened her grip, threads whispering around her fingers. “And find whoever’s pulling the strings.”
Victor’s lips curved into a faint smile.
“…He won’t stay hidden for long.”
The eight gathered at the center of the ruined field—scarred, exhausted, but unbroken.
Sasha took a steady breath. “Let’s get these sons of bitches.”
Daniel’s eyes burned crimson as he stepped forward.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
“…Let’s rock.”
The battlefield erupted.
Daniel rose into the air, psychic energy flaring as a Crimson Shield expanded outward—an enormous translucent barrier snapping into place just as dark projectiles slammed into it.
“Now!” he shouted.
He forged a sword midair, crimson energy condensing into a solid blade. With a single motion, he dove.
“Crimson Slash!”
The arc of energy tore through the front lines, vaporizing shadows as Daniel crashed into the enemy ranks—steel, fists, and raw will moving as one.
Nearby, Tom laughed like a madman.
“FLAME—THROWER!”
Fire roared from his palms in a continuous inferno, sweeping across the battlefield. Shadow Titans shrieked as they dissolved, only for Tom to switch instantly—hands snapping forward.
Fireballs detonated midair.
Then—
“Machine gun—FIRE!”
Dozens of compressed fire rounds ripped through the dark horde in rapid succession, each impact bursting like miniature suns.
Jackson vanished.
A thunderclap followed.
He reappeared inside the enemy formation, lightning wrapping his body.
“Speed Step!”
What followed wasn’t a fight—it was an execution. Lightning carved paths through shadows, Jackson reappearing again and again as thunder split the sky.
Above them, the world stopped.
Sasha’s eyes glowed.
“Time Stop.”
Shadow Titans froze mid-strike. Within that stillness, she calmly formed spheres.
“Time Bubble.”
Time accelerated violently inside them. Shadows aged, decayed, and collapsed into nothing before time resumed.
Selena moved like a dancer through chaos.
Threads flashed.
“Silken Fang.”
Razor-fine lines sliced through dozens at once, retracting to yank enemies off balance. A storm followed.
“Needle Rain.”
The air itself screamed as thousands of threads shredded everything in their path.
When retaliation came, Selena raised her hands.
“Aegis Weave.”
A translucent lattice snapped into place, absorbing the impact before reshaping—caging enemies mid-motion.
Noir stood still.
Then space broke.
“Spatial Rend.”
Reality split open. Shadow Titans were erased in clean, impossible cuts. A zone imploded violently inward.
“Spatial Collapse.”
Nothing remained.
Mr. Stone stepped forward, eyes cold.
“ANCHOR PULSE.”
Gravity slammed downward. Shadows were pinned, crushed flat against the earth.
He raised his hand once more.
“EVENT COLLAPSE.”
Space folded. Sound vanished.
When it ended, there was only dust.
Victor hovered above it all, eyes glowing.
Invisible force ripped through the battlefield.
“Psychic Beam.”
Entire lines vanished.
Leo followed—pure force, no technique, no hesitation. He smashed through enemy after enemy, each step leaving craters behind.
For a moment—
For just a moment—
It felt like victory.
Then the world went silent.
A shadow sphere formed at the center of the battlefield.
No sound. No wind.
It simply existed.
Darkness peeled open like a wound.
Daniel’s eyes narrowed.
“…The mastermind.”
He surged forward, sword forming instantly as he crossed the distance in a heartbeat.
The blade struck.
The Titan split—
And turned to shadow.
Daniel froze midair.
A presence appeared behind him.
Cold. Ancient. Heavy.
The Greater Titan had appeared behind Daniel's back
But suddenly Victor’s psychic grip locked the Greater Titan in place.
A calm voice echoed behind the Greater Titan.
“…Hello there.” Victor's voice cold, heavy, eyes locked.
The battlefield trembled.
