After the incident, as it is ominously known, the world went dark. The majority of the populace was eradicated from the planet, and those that remained were left altered forever. Most of the survivors were zombified, mentally cooked from the inside out, and left to do nothing but join the masses of the Horde. For the fractional others, they were gifted from the incident with immense powers and extraordinary capabilities beyond what most would consider natural—telekinetic convulsions; enhanced strength, speed, and durability; or the capacity to teleport one’s bodies to anywhere they imagine, to name a few.
