As Fenix looked at ChibiScker's excited expression through the screen, he couldn't help but wonder what had happened. He assumed that ChibiScker had obtained a rare item or completed a difficult quest while he was away from the game. Curiosity got the better of him. Fenix asked, "What's going on?"
"Do you remember that video I recorded of us taking down the King Bellyborg?" ChibiScker asked.
"Yeah, what about it?" Fenix replied.
"It went viral!" excimed ChibiScker. "My channel has blown up and I'm getting friend requests non-stop. I feel like a celebrity."
Fenix was puzzled by all of this. He couldn't understand why a video of them fighting a low-level monster like the King Bellyborg would garner so much attention. While he tried to figure out what could have made the video so popur, ChibiScker continued talking.
“A lot of people keep asking me how we did it. Since to summon a King Bellyborg, we had to kill a lot of the normal ones. They kept asking who the ranged fighter was that helped us and wouldn’t believe me when I told them we did it on our own. I almost told them how we did it, but I got upset that they doubted my skills,” ChibiScker said, his tone turning slightly irritated.
Finally understanding why the video had gone viral, Fenix realized that many pyers were probably interested in learning how two melee fighters were able to take down such a powerful creature without any assistance.
After all, Bellyborg bird feathers were highly sought after for making arrows, and since the monsters were low-level, they were easy targets. No wonder there seemed to be an influx of pyers in town today - they were probably all here to hunt for those feathers themselves.
“Don’t tell them, let them figure it out on their own,” Fenix advised. “You should also disable friend requests so you aren’t bothered by spam invites.”
ChibiScker grinned, looking proud. “Already done. However, I kept personal messages open just in case a sponsor took notice of me. A little pocket money wouldn't hurt.”
“You know that's unlikely for us average pyers,” Fenix reminded.
“Let a kid dream. You never know, it could happen.” ChibiScker replied optimistically. “So, what are you up to now?”
“I was about to head to the town’s library to figure out my skills,” Fenix answered.
"The library? Can I come with you?" ChibiScker asked.
“Are you sure? I’m just going to look for a book. You might get bored.” Fenix said.
“Don't worry, I need to go there too. I'm looking for a beast-taming manual specific to this region's creatures. I want to get a companion soon,” ChibiScker expined.
Fenix thought it was about time for ChibiScker to start considering getting a companion, so he agreed with a nod and said, "Okay then, I'll meet you there."
"Great, see you in five minutes!" ChibiScker excimed before ending the video call.

As Fenix approached the library, he saw ChibiScker sitting on the steps, tapping his foot, his hand in front of him scrolling through what could only be his pyer system screen. When ChibiScker noticed Fenix, his face lit up with a smile and he quickly stood up to open the door for him.
"Took you long enough," ChibiScker teased, motioning for Fenix to hurry inside.
With a grin, Fenix quickened his pace and they walked into the spacious library together.
The interior was surprisingly spacious, with shelves upon shelves of books filling every inch of wall space. Cozy seating areas were scattered throughout, inviting readers to curl up with a good book. The walls were adorned with old portraits of gentlemen in formal attire, giving off a vintage vibe that Fenix found charming.
While Fenix was admiring his surroundings, ChibiScker had already made his way to the front desk where three NPCs were seated, engrossed in their respective books. Fenix assumed they were the librarians here.
Each one of them possessed their own unique beauty, but Fenix's attention was immediately drawn to the elf on the far right. With sleek blonde hair pulled back from his angur face and piercing green eyes, he seemed almost otherworldly.
Fenix couldn't resist the thought, ‘I wouldn't mind being Gimli to his Legos,’ a sly smile pyed on his lips.
His daydreams were quickly interrupted by ChibiScker clearing his throat to get the attention of the NPCs.
The librarian that Fenix had been admiring moments before calmly asked, "How may I assist you, young man?" as he turned his gaze towards ChibiScker.
"I'm looking for books on beast taming. Could you point me in the right direction?" ChibiScker asked politely.
With a small smile, the elf replied, "We have a few titles on that subject. Ms. Mable, would you kindly show this young man where they are located?"
"Of course, Senior Librarian Chilson," Ms. Mable answered before leading ChibiScker to a nearby shelf filled with books on beast taming.
After ChibiScker and the librarian had moved out of earshot, Sr. Librarian Chilson turned his gaze to Fenix. "Do you require assistance finding a book as well?"
“Yes, I was wondering if you have a book by the combat potion maker Shilvak,” asked Fenix.
The elf's expression turned sorrowful, but Fenix noticed that the librarian next to him showed a different reaction. If he hadn't been paying close attention, he might have missed it.
"Unfortunately, Shilvak's manuscripts were lost long ago. There were only a few copies that were made, but they seem to have disappeared from the world," expined Chilson. "I would have loved to read them myself."
As the elf spoke, the other librarian stood up and made her way to a distant back shelf, casting a meaningful gnce at him. It was a subtle look that conveyed she had information but it wasn't her pce to share it. If someone wasn't perceptive enough, they might miss the subtle communication. That's likely why the other pyers couldn't figure out how to obtain the skills.
Fenix wasn't exactly thrilled about following a mysterious woman behind a bookcase, especially after what happened with that bitch.
But he knew this was his only chance to gain the skills he needed, so he would have to suck it up. After thanking the elf for his help, he walked to where the woman was.
