CHAPTER - 201 [Observations, Things In Common And Welcome]

  CHAPTER - 201

Narrator: There was a moment of tension that seemed to stretch endlessly with the arrival of two new individuals.

The atmosphere in the dining hall became charged with a new energy vibrant yet familiar.

Dav glanced at Kael and Eldrin with a slightly ironic, almost playful smile.

He meticulously twirled his sausage meat ragù spaghetti using a fork and spoon, as if it were a ritual he couldn't forgo.

Then, in a calm yet resolute voice, he said:

"My sister will be arriving later, for the usual reason.

We'll meet in the arena, unless you're busy..

If you don't want to die because of my aura, I suggest you come."

He left the sentence hanging, making a gesture that seemed to simulate a light-hearted threat.

The two remained still for a moment, staring at him silently, almost unable to believe what they had just heard.

  The silence grew heavy.

Then, suddenly, Eldrin burst into laughter, followed by Kael, and even the director couldn't suppress an amused smile.

The atmosphere returned to its usual state, filled with jokes, banter, and a touch of healthy competition.

Kael, with a sly grin, responded while laughing.

Kael: I don't want to end up flattened against the floor, so I'll be there to stop you in case your aura really goes wild.

[Eldrin, chewing, looked at Kael with an amused and slightly skeptical expression]

Eldrin: Don't forget to bring that Teaser of yours, huh! Otherwise, if it happens, we'll both end up on the ground HAAHJA!

Narrator: Evelyn also joined the conversation, playfully tugging at Kael's cheeks while scolding him with an expression that alternated between irritation and affection.

Evelyn: You should be worried about other things, not Dav's aura!

That won't save you this time.

[Kael laughed nervously, sweating slightly, and replied with an innocent air]

Kael: You know that's not true! Don't listen to what Dav says!

Narrator: Dav merely smiled slightly, continuing to eat calmly, almost closing his eyes to better savor the food.

He noticed how the atmosphere had eased, returning to its everyday feel.

The three girls sitting across from him, Iris, Selene, and Valeria watched him intently.

Their eyes seemed to send him a silent message, perhaps emphasizing Evelyn's words, or maybe just trying to instill a bit of fear.

Dav, however, remained undisturbed: he ate slowly, eyes closed, ignoring those curious or questioning gazes.

Ekaterina, seated next to Sofia, turned her gaze toward the other table, where Elysia, Gabriel, and the others were laughing and playing freely, without worries.

The air among them was light, filled with carefree friendship.

She noticed, with a slight tremble, that boy among them the son of a king who seemed at ease among that diverse group.

A small gulp betrayed her, while Dav, with his left eye half-closed, barely observed her with the tip of his tongue on his lips, continuing to eat in silence.

Then he turned to Sofia, the woman accompanying him that day, with a soft and gentle tone.

"How is it? Do you like it?

Would you like some more? Something to drink?"

His voice was calm, caring, as if he wanted to reassure her and make her feel comfortable, surrounded by so many people and a new situation.

Sofia replied with a gentle smile:

  "Thank you very much, truly.

Everything is very good, but I don't eat that much..

However, I'd gladly accept some of that white wine, if you don't mind."

Dav took the jug, slowly pouring some wine into Sofia's glass with elegant movements, never taking his eyes off her.

"You know, white wine is the only one I can drink without issues because of its taste.

  You have good taste."

He said with a small smile, as the wine filled the glass with a gentle clink.

  "Mine too."

Sofia responded, looking at the glass with a look of complicity.

The voices of the other students blended with the clatter of cutlery and the aroma of food, creating a warm and familiar background.

That day, like many others, it seemed that even amidst all the difficulties, humanity and normalcy found a space to live and breathe.
