Still, I feel that he is the best one to ask first, if he doesn’t know then I will ask the goddesses. Wait, I am forgetting Damona, as a succubus she should be an expert on souls. Once she is under contract and I can trust her, she might be the best one to ask.

  I guess it will depend on how long it takes me to get my soul to max level, but it shouldn’t take too long. Still, I’d be willing to bet that Lin will have Damona and Leafa summoned before then. Probably the only reason that they haven’t been summoned already is that Lin is here with me.

  She wouldn’t want to give up any of her one on one time with me by summoning them. She will probably arrange it for as soon as she gets back to the peninsula. Lin is great at planning things out, she will have worked out all the details while making sure it didn’t interfere.

  Besides, Damona and Leafa probably need some time to get their affairs in order. That makes me wonder what they are going to do with their shops, are they going to close them? Or are they going to hire someone to run the shops while they are here in our world?

  I suppose that I can ask them once they have been summoned, or I can ask Lin, she probably knows. It would be good to know, if they are closing their shops then I will need to find another place to sell my plants. Not that that would be all that hard, there are tons of shops in Soul City.

  In fact, it might be nice to find a shop that I can deal with without being tempted. My luck can’t be bad enough that all of the plant shops in Soul City will be run by temptresses. Damona and Leafa seem the type to hire the most beautiful people they could find.

  If they are keeping their shops open, maybe I should keep quiet and find another shop anyway. I wouldn’t put it past the two of them to leave orders with the new employees to torment me specifically. Well, Damona would come up with the idea, but Leafa would happily go along with it.

  Or at least, that is my impression of the two of them, but it isn’t like I know them too well. At this point, Lin probably knows them better than I do, I’m sure there have been meetings. I only know of the one for sure, but I’d bet my entire fortune that there have been more.

  I’m sure that they have gotten up to all sorts of interesting things, but there is no way Lin would tell me. She would just use my curiosity about it to tease me even more than she usually does. So, while I am really curious about it, I am not going to open my mouth and get in trouble.

  By the time I am done answering all of my messages and chatting with people, we are stopping for lunch. After lunch, once we are moving again, I make another attempt at creating the divine spell form. When it fails, Lin notices me wincing in pain and asks me what I am doing.

  I explain what I am doing and how the divine spell form is supposed to work, but she can’t help. For the very first time, there is something about magic that she can’t help me with. Mainly because it is divine magic, but it is still an odd feeling for her to not be able to help.

  She doesn’t even understand the spell form, it doesn’t make any sense when compared to mana. It makes sense though, she has never used divine power for any spells or anything like it. Not that having used divine spells is giving me any help in figuring out how to make an ability.

  The spell form to create an ability is nothing like that used to cast divine spells. Casting spells is far simpler, but creating an ability is far more complex, as the goddesses warned. The headaches are a little annoying, but I am steadily improving in my attempts.

  That would be more impressive if I wasn’t working on the simplest of spell forms. For my next attempt, on a whim, I try adding additional supports to the spell form where it keeps collapsing. That is what I would do when creating a new spell and I am curious if it is going to work the same.

  While that is not the ability I was aiming for, it still feels good to finally succeed. I quickly analyze the form of the new ability to figure out where I went wrong. One of the supports that I added crossed another line and changed the spell, I try again and fix the mistake.

  There, it worked properly this time and I certainly learned a lot about creating divine forms. The best part is that both succeeded and I didn’t have to suffer another headache.

  “Victoria, come here for a second.”

  Victoria comes over and accepts the hand I hold out to her, so I transfer both new abilities to her.

  Abilities Lost: Heal Self, Healing Touch!

  Victoria says “Two more abilities?!”

  “Yes. It doesn’t seem fitting for an angel not to be able to heal. Unfortunately, they are both rank one, you will have to work on ranking them up.”

  Victoria says “That’s no problem! I will work hard!”

  “Good. I can’t promise anything, but if there are any abilities that you specifically want I will try to make it.”

  Victoria says “Not that I can think of right now. I will let you know if I think of anything. Maybe after training I will have a better idea of what I will need.”

  “Alright. Sounds good.”

  As Victoria resumes her seat I notice that the puppy is awake, but he seems calm enough. He is sitting in Asuna’s lap being petted and he seems pretty happy, just like a normal puppy. She has managed to find the spot and he is currently on his back kicking his legs like crazy.

  Asuna is completely content, so I leave her to take care of him until he gets hungry. When he does get hungry, Asuna hands him over for me to feed him, then takes him back. She plays with him until he falls asleep and we just sit and chat until the caravan stops for the night.

  We are camped outside a small city, but the rulers are all going to stay at an inn in the city. There are simply not enough inns in the city for all of the troops to stay in, hence the camp. I decide to stay with the troops, mainly because I prefer my cabin to some small inn.

  Besides, it has been a few days and I actually want to get a little sleep for a change. So, after having my fun with Lin and the normal soulscapes, I set up my bed of gold. I use everything I looted from the island, but leave my original funds alone for spending.
