After imparting that wisdom, Chief leaves to get his tribe settled back down and I sit to wait for the caravan. While I am waiting, I take a close look at Dark Mark and how it works. I love its ability to determine if someone is guilty, but it being single-target is a pain.
Even though it is a divine spell I still don’t have any trouble finding the part of the spell that I want. Unfortunately, it isn’t something that can be imitated with mana since it reads the soul of the target. Still, it might work for what I have in mind, so I take a look at the technique Mulan taught me.
From that, I take the part of it that allows me to change part of my breath and convert it to the divine language. After that, all that I have to do is figure out how to put them together so that my breath will only burn sinners. I also want it to not burn inorganic materials and to heal those that aren’t sinners.
If I can figure all of that out, then I can simply cover the port with a sea of flames. I am also hoping that since the base of it is my breath that I will still get exp when I use it. I am still working on it when the rest of the caravan arrives and starts setting up camp.
When Myria joins me I ask her to go invite Amn, Gremshow, and Mavel to join me for dinner. Meanwhile, I keep working on the spell, I have figured it out, but now I am trying to fix a few things. It is really hard since I can’t create the proper words for what I need to do.
Krenocia says “Ash! What do you think you are doing?!”
“Relax! I am working on a new spell. I was thinking how inadequate the words of the divine language are, but I remember that I am not allowed to create new words.”
Krenocia says “Try not to even think about creating new words. I was able to feel the ripples from you thinking about it!”
“Why would that be?”
Krenocia says “Because your mind is almost strong enough to actually do it! It would probably still kill you, but it would be after creating the new word. You have to be careful of what you think about. You are getting strong enough that even your idle thoughts could affect the world around you!”
“That’s a terrifying thought considering some of my random thoughts! Is there an item or something that could prevent that?!”
Krenocia says “No, but knowing you, you could probably come up with one.”
“I will have to do that later. For now, don’t worry, I am not doing anything crazy.”
Krenocia says “Alright, but I will be watching!”
She breaks the contact, but I can feel that she is still watching me, just like she threatened. It doesn’t matter though, nothing about this new spell will be all that dangerous. Now, if I was trying to make the words I need, that would be a completely different story.

I have already figured out how to make it work, all I am doing now is looking for better ways of stating things. I am hoping to get it good enough for the system to recognize it so that it will be easier to use. However, before I can get to that point, Myria returns with the three rulers.
I use Divided mind to keep working on it while I tell the others what the chief told me. When I tell them my plan, Gremshow is the first to speak up in favor of it, shortly followed by Amn. I guess that the pirates are a problem for them since they both have coastal cities.
Mavel is also in favor of it, but her concern is the bandits since her kingdom is land locked. Myria doesn’t say anything, but she hates slavers as much as I do, although she has more reason to. What’s surprising is that no one tries to tell me that it is too dangerous, but it is a pleasant surprise.
Myria says “So, do you have a plan?”
“Are you going to yell at me if I say I do?”
Myria says “No. I’ve gotten used to your plans.”
“Well, I plan to attack from the water and hit the ships first to make sure no one escapes.”
Myria says “Are you planning to go alone?!”
“Nope. I want you and Lizzy, along with Leylisha if she wants to help, out in the desert. Your target will be any returning groups and anyone who attempts to flee the port.”
Myria says “What about the slaves in the city?”
“I have been working on a new spell. One that will heal innocents and burn sinners. That way only those who deserve it get killed and the port will be left intact for the tribes to take over.”
Emperor Amn says “Why preserve the port?!”
“I am trying to get the tribes to start trading peacefully with the kingdoms.”
Mavel says “No more raids? Yes! That would be amazing!”
“It is still a work in progress, but if they have the port it should be possible.”
Emperor Amn says “I’ve said it before, but with how much you hate politics, you are really good at it!”
*DING*
New Technique Created! Flames of Judgement!
I was honestly paying more attention to the conversation, so the completion of the technique surprises me. I am a little disappointed that I wasn’t able to make it a lightning technique, but it will work. Besides, sinners burning to death is definitely more fitting than being blasted by lightning.
Myria says “So, are we leaving right away?”
“Yes. The attack shouldn’t take long, but the aftermath might. I am assuming that it will be okay if we need to camp at the oasis for a day?”
Emperor Amn says “It won’t be a problem. We are almost a day ahead of schedule already. A little delay won’t cause any issues and even if it does, getting rid of the pirates is worth it.”
“Myria, go tell Lizzy the plan and see if Leylisha wants to help. While you do that, I will put wards around the camp so that they are safe while we are gone. We will leave as soon as I have done that.”
Myria says “What about Koko?”
“I have no idea where she is. She can come with us if she shows up, but I am not going to waste time looking for her.”
Myria says “Alright.”
Myria heads off to find Lizzy and the three rulers leave to return to their business. As they are leaving, I can hear Mavel and Gremshow discussing how this is going to affect their kingdoms. I know that Mavel doesn’t like Gremshow, but it seems she can put that aside for the good of her kingdom.
I walk to the edge of camp and then start walking around the perimeter putting down the wards. As I am doing that, I notice most of the tribe’s warriors are keeping an eye on our camp. Not that I blame them, especially since over half of them are all watching Lizzy.
