“I will improve my cleaning spell so that it takes better care of me.”

  Leylisha says “Why use a spell?”

  “Because I often don’t have free time and I can’t reach all of those spots.”

  Leylisha says “Well, until you make this spell, how about I be your groomer? It will give me a chance to pay you back for saving my life.”

  “Alright. I don’t have a problem with that, but let’s head back, I am hungry.”

  Both of them agree with that and we quickly make our way back to camp to eat. We are a little late for dinner, but the cooks quickly make more food for the three of us. Luckily they make food in stages for everyone so we don’t cause too much of a disturbance.

  As we are eating I start questioning Leylisha on her fighting style and what kind of armor she prefers. I know she used a lance while mounted, but that doesn’t work so well when on foot. She explains that her training focused on mounted combat, but she was still trained to fight normally.

  When not mounted she prefers to use a spear for close range and throw javelins for ranged. Not surprisingly, she prefers light armor like the leather she was wearing when I found her. As soon as I am done eating, I take out some materials and start crafting.

  I use a mix of leather and cloth, I want to try something a little different for her. I basically make a set of armored clothing and then enchant it to be able to shapeshift. It doesn’t look all that great when I am done, but the shapeshifting will take care of that.

  The point is that even if it is shapeshifted to look like a bikini it will protect like full armor. That is just the protection of the armor, it still has defensive enchantments on top of that. All in all, I figure it should be equivalent to wearing enchanted full plate from D&D.

  I don’t really think Leylisha needs that kind of protection, I was just curious if it would work. It wouldn’t have before, making that many different materials work together was beyond me. Now, with the knowledge from the dragon language, I can bind them together much more effectively.

  Now that I know it will work, I am going to have to make new armor for Myria, Brightfire, and Mercy. Lin’s robes should still be fine, she is far more of a caster type than the others. Although, I do remember that Zamart taught Mercy some magic when she was younger.

  I will have to remember to ask Lin to test the others and teach them what they can handle. Even if you don’t use it primarily, magic is a great cheat for all sorts of situations. Myria should know a decent amount from becoming a mage-knight, but she can probably learn more.

  Come to think of it, once her kingdom’s integration is settled, that might be a good path for Mercy. Brightfire too if she has some magic potential, I honestly never thought to check. Of course, I don’t plan to force them to do anything, I will just make sure they are aware of the option.

  I should also probably check with Yui and see if the trials would allow my kids to try them. If they do, then all of the kids will probably at least want to try them out for fun. If they don’t, then maybe between us Lin and I could figure out how to make something similar.

  It shouldn’t be all that hard, it should just be an upgrade of the training rooms. Although, I think I remember Yui saying something about a god helping with them. If that is the case, I might still be able to do it since I have divine power as well as mana.

  In fact, that would be the better option because then I could create trials for non-magic users. I would especially like to create ones to help with training the royal guards. I will definitely need to sit down with Lin later and discuss the possibilities.

  For now, I give the armor to Leylisha, explain how to use it, and send her off to get changed. While I wait for her to come back, I start working on a spear and some javelins for her. I have to keep them pretty basic due to the lack of materials, but they will still work.

  They will at least be enough if we end up getting into a serious fight on this trip. If she ends up returning to the peninsula with us, I will make her better weapons. While Lizzy is helping her test out her new armor, I make her a small pouch of holding and a grooming kit.

  Leylisha does a training routine to get used to the new weapons and then takes out the grooming kit. She gives Lizzy and I a thorough grooming and then the two of them go to sleep. I open a soulscape, invite my wives, my kids, and Lizzy, but then I get a surprise.

  Myria actually shows up this time and as soon as she does she hits me like a missile. I have been inviting her every time, but she couldn’t answer while she was in the trial. Her being here means that she has completed her trial and probably found out that I left.

  “How did the trial go?”

  Myria says “I completed it! Which means that I now outrank you and you have to obey my orders!”

  “I’m sorry, but I'm pretty sure that since I am the emperor, no one outranks me!”

  Of course, that sets Myria off and she starts arguing with me, but I know how to win. I watch her, wait until she stops for a breath, and then I kiss her as deeply as I can. She instantly melts into my embrace and I know that the argument is over.

  When I finally end the kiss, I find myself surrounded by the rest of my wives. To keep things fair, I give each and every one of them a kiss that is just as intense. Luckily, Lizzy is playing tag with the kids and they are all happily distracted.

  It looks like we won’t be doing any training tonight, but that is fine by me, they deserve a break. While the kids are occupied, I sit down with my wives and tell them about my trip. I don’t hide anything, I tell them about Leylisha and how attractive I found Mavabel.

  Myria says “See! I told you he couldn’t be left unsupervised!”

  Lin laughs and says “He hasn’t done anything. He just told us so that he didn’t feel like he was hiding something.”

  Sero says “I thought it was agreed that it would be a good thing if he found some more wives?”

  Brightfire says “True, but we need to approve of them first.”

  Myria says “Exactly why I am going to go and keep an eye on him!”

  “What?”
