I’m sure that I will think of something and if I don’t, my wives will be able to come up with something. I am sure that between all of us we will figure something out, but it probably won’t be necessary. The cat tribes may be stubborn, but I doubt they are stupid enough not to realize the situation they are in.
Just being the only tribes left out is going to put a huge burden on their people. All it would take would be an order for my tribes to stop trade with them and they would be in trouble. They are probably already feeling the pinch now that there are no outcasts to trade with.
Again, I will wait and see how things have developed when I get back from my trip with Amn. Hopefully, everything will have resolved itself and they will be ready to join us by then. If not, I will worry about it then, I have other things to worry about right now.
I quickly return to the castle after breakfast and get back to making more platforms. I would prefer to have enough for the entire trip so that I don’t have to worry about stopping to make more. As much as I am looking forward to the trip, I also don’t want it to take too long.
I trust my wives to deal with anything that comes up while I am gone, but I also feel guilty leaving it to them. The biggest worry I have is that I will be out of range of the network and it will be harder to contact me. Luckily, I still have the communication medallions, so I won’t be completely out of touch.
Besides, I plan to open a soulscape every night to meet with them and continue their training. Eventually, I want all of them to be able to at least enter the hallway and explore a little. However, I want them to be strong enough to do so and be at least somewhat safe.
That makes me wonder if it is possible to go into the hallway as a group instead of alone. If so, that would make me feel a lot better about them going into the hallway. It would be especially important for my wives, they will need strong souls in order to ascend.
The goddesses might have a way around that, but it probably isn’t as good as earning the strength. At least, that’s the way it normally works in manga and a lot of things like that have proven to be true. So, unless told otherwise, I am going to assume that I am right and act on what I believe.
I work all the way until Jarvis calls me upstairs for dinner, where I am surprised to find everyone present. Well except for Myria, she is still in her trial and I have no idea when she will come out. It turns out that Lin arranged for everyone to come back using the new keys.
The first of the conversation over dinner is all about the new keys and how convenient they are. We then move to discussing what needs to be taken care of while I am going to be gone. Brightfire offers to take care of getting the new tribes settled in, at least until Myria returns.

For the most part, other than the planning, she doesn’t need to do much with the capital. Albion is going to be the one doing most of the work on the city, so she can handle other tasks. We discuss my thoughts on the cat clans, but I leave it up to Lin to decide if anything needs to be done before I get back.
Once the business is out of the way, we start talking about what everyone has been up to. Sero and Kreno have been busy trying to get caught up on the knowledge they will need. However, they have been having fun doing so and are quite happy with the situation.
I arrange for some of the kids to start taking them on adventures so they can level up. They need to level up and it should be a good break from all of the studying. Besides, it is one more thing for the kids to do and it is something that they enjoy.
It might also make it a little easier on my wives if it helps to keep the kids busy. After dinner, I spend a few hours playing with the kids and then put them to bed. Lin, Mercy, Brightfire, Sero, and Kreno all come to bed with me and even Bella joins in.
My wives are really energetic, but they know they won’t see me in the flesh for a while. I had forgotten how exhausting it is for me when Sero joins in with her stupid recovery spell. I end up with barely enough energy left to open up a soulscape by the time they are done with me.
As soon as I end the soulscape, I pass out and this time I sleep all the way until morning. Unfortunately, that means that I don’t have much time left before I need to leave. So, I quickly head down to my workshop to make as many more platforms as I can before breakfast.
When I get called to breakfast, I store away the completed platforms and the remaining stone. I will just have to wait and see if I have managed to make enough, or if I need to make more. I have a nice relaxing breakfast with my wives and kids and then I get ready to leave.
The goodbyes take a while and then I gate to the capital of the southern empire. I stop long enough to check in with Atesh and make sure nothing has gone wrong so far. Amn left on time and there were no problems, so after chatting with her for a while I leave to catch up to him.
Amn’s escort consists of fifty cavalry, but they are limited to the speed of his carriage and the supply wagon. I manage to catch up to them well before they reach the border of the empire. I fly over them slowly to make sure they see me and then I land a bit ahead of them.
This gives the soldiers time to get their mounts under control before they reach me. The beasts still don’t like being forced to come near me, but I do what I can to retract my aura. It is enough to keep from causing a panic and keep everything moving.
I run alongside the emperor’s carriage once it reaches me and Shiro opens the window to greet me. As I am running alongside the carriage chatting with Shiro and Amn, I take a look at the carriage’s enchantments out of habit. What I find is fairly disappointing, but it explains why the carriage is so slow.
It isn’t that it has no enchantments, they are just all defensive enchantments and they take up most of the space. What little is left is being used for basic maintenance enchantments. I can understand the need for a lot of defenses, but I could do a much better job.
