However, I don’t want to just make the change to contact the network, I am thinking further ahead. I want to make changes now so that if I need to make more changes later it will be easier. Since I am adjusting the communication aspect of the platforms it is just a matter of taking it further.
Instead of modifying the existing enchantment, I decide to just replace it with a better one. I make the changes to the one I am looking at so that I can test the changes and look for problems. Sadly, even though I am replacing just one enchantment, I see other ways that I can improve it.
That is fairly frustrating since I only recently redesigned the platforms and their enchantments. Physically, the platforms are fine and don’t need any changes, but the enchantments are a mess. I feel pretty bad that this mess was designed by me, I don’t know what I was thinking.
That’s a lie, I know what I was thinking, but looking at it now I see all sorts of things I didn’t before. I feel like I need to completely redo the enchantments of the new platforms. I guess that means that my plan to add the ability to modify the enchantments remotely is now mandatory.
However, I put off making any more changes for now, I am going to take it one step at a time. The first step is going to need to be perfect because all the others will build off it. So, instead of jumping straight to implementation I keep playing with the test platform.
I end up making a few small changes to the enchantment that I am adding so that it will remain stable. Considering I am going to be changing all the other enchantments I need it to stand alone. Otherwise, the changes I will be making later will cause problems that will be difficult to fix.
Once that is figured out, I take out the rest of the platforms I have and modify them. To have room I end up placing them on top of the carriage, which I am sure looks weird. However, it gives me a chance to test out the communication between them and the remote function.
That keeps me busy all the way until the caravan is stopping and setting up camp. By then, I am pretty confident that the enchantment is perfect and ready to be pushed out to all the platforms. My plan is to start that after having dinner with Myria and the others, but that doesn’t happen.
After dinner, Leylisha calls me over to be groomed, which I am more than happy to do. However, when Myria notices how much I am enjoying being groomed, she comes over and insists on learning. Leylisha happily starts teaching her with me being used as the example, which I am not going to complain about.
By the time Leylisha finishes teaching Myria I am feeling pretty pampered and really relaxed. After they are done grooming me, I walk around the camp setting the wards and then head to the carriage. It is only then that I learn that Leylisha and Koko will also be sleeping in the carriage.

However, I am not about to let that stop me from spending some private time with Myria. It doesn’t take me long to figure out how to make a magical privacy barrier. It will stop both sight and sound and once it is in place I shapeshift into a bunny beastman.
That gets Myria all sorts of excited, but I force her to lay down so that I can give her a massage. It is only fair after the amount of time she spent grooming me and it easily leads to more fun things. Once she is exhausted I create a soulscape and invite the rest of my wives and the kids.
I also invite Lizzy, but I stop her before she can distract the kids since I want to continue the lessons. I teach the main group and have Mulan teach Lizzy and Myria so that they can catch up. Even if they don’t choose to explore the hallway, I want everyone to be capable of fighting in the soulscape.
After a couple of hours of lessons and practice, I end the class and let the kids play. While I am playing with them and Lizzy, I notice my wives are gathered talking about something. Myria seems to be doing most of the talking, probably reporting to the others about Leylisha and Mavabel.
As usual, I play with the kids until they are exhausted and then spend time with my wives. I end the soulscape to find that Myria is already asleep and hugging me like a teddy bear. Well, there goes my plan of getting some work done tonight, but I am not really sad about it.
I wrap myself around Myria and go to sleep, but I wake up after only a couple of hours. I doubt I can extricate myself from Myria without waking her up, so I don’t even try. Instead, as I lay there I go over my plan to upgrade the platforms and make sure I didn’t miss anything.
The old platforms won’t handle the new enchantment, so I will still need to go around and replace them. That was already the plan, so that is no big deal, but it will have to wait until after the conclave. As for the new platforms, I will just have to work my way back through the ones I have placed.
Changing the ones back on the peninsula will be the hardest since they are the furthest away. That just means that they will take more mana to reach, but since I have the crystals it won’t be a problem. I could even start now, but opening gates above her head would probably wake Myria up.
The amount of time that might save isn’t worth dealing with a grumpy Myria for the rest of the day. Instead, I just cuddle Myria and think of random things while I wait for her to wake up. As I am thinking I realize that I still haven’t asked her what the commander’s trial was like.
I would still like to take it myself if I can find the time and knowing more would help. I remember Yui saying it would take months, but Myria wasn’t gone that long. I also remember something about the trial covering an entire lifetime, but Myria said it was about thirty years.
Myria ends up sleeping until breakfast is ready outside, that is probably my fault. I end up having to wake her up so that we can eat before the caravan gets moving. She has trouble waking up and getting moving so without thinking it through I give her some energy tea.
It certainly helps her wake up, but I was not prepared to deal with a hyper bunny girl. By the time we have eaten breakfast and the caravan is moving she is literally bouncing off the walls. That lasts for a couple of hours, then she crashes and ends up taking a nap until we stop for lunch.
