  Lin says “If that really is all, then why do you look so guilty? Oh, right, you were supposed to talk to the goddesses last night. How did that go?”

  “It went well. They are going to attempt to make mortal avatars.”

  Myria says “How well?!”

  “Um, really well.”

  Under the intense stares of my four beautiful, naked wives, I quickly spill the beans. I tell them everything that happened, I don’t leave anything out or try to hide anything. To my surprise, the girls take it well, in fact they hardly react at all to what I tell them.

  Myria says “Don’t look so surprised. We have known how the goddesses feel about you for ages. We have been expecting this to happen.”

  Lin says “Personally, I’m surprised that it took this long. If I had two goddesses like them after me, I couldn’t have resisted as long as you have.”

  “It hasn’t been easy.”

  Myria says “So, how was it?”

  “It was good. Things in the soulscape aren’t as good as in the real world, but it was definitely fun.”

  Myria says “I can’t wait to have some fun with their avatars! Did they say when they would be joining us?”

  “Assuming that they manage to figure it out, it should be sometime today.”

  Lin says “How are you planning to treat them?”

  “We won’t hold a ceremony or give them crowns, but other than that I plan to try and treat them the same as I do you.”

  Lin says “Isn’t that going to stretch you a little thin?”

  “It may at times, but I will do my best. I expect you to help me out when I fall short. Hopefully, between all of us, we will be able to figure things out.”

  Mercy says “With all of us working together, anything is possible.”

  Myria says “Even keeping the avatars of two goddesses happy?”

  Mercy says “Well, that part will mostly be up to Ash. We just have to be ready to help him out a little.”

  Lin says “Ash, are you going to be able to keep all six of us happy?”

  “No, I don’t and that is why I didn’t want multiple wives. You already know that, so why ask now?”

  Lin says “Because it is a conversation that all of us need to have together. I want everyone to be on the same page. You can’t be around all the time and I know that. That is part of why I took Bella as a lover.”

  Mercy says “Personally, I know how busy the life of a ruler is. I never expected you to be around and available all the time. I was prepared to either be alone during the time you aren’t around or to be with the others. I never thought of taking a female lover from outside.”

  Brightfire says “Personally, I figured that the four of us would be lovers whenever Ash isn’t around. Well, I guess it will be the six of us soon?”

  Lin says “And that’s exactly why I wanted to have this conversation now. I want the four of us on the same page when the avatars show up.”

  Myria says “I just think that all of us should be lovers!”

  Mercy says “Wait, I’m still confused about something. Lin, you said that you had taken Bella as a lover?”

  Lin says “That’s right.”

  Mercy says “Ash, you knew about it and are okay with it?”

  “Yes. In fact, I encouraged it. I thought that having another lover would help when I was busy. This was before it was decided that I would marry all of you.”

  Brightfire says “Does that mean that you have slept with Bella as well?”

  “Only once, but I don’t think it counts.”

  Mercy says “Why not?”

  “Because I wasn’t a male at the time.”

  Lin says “Remember that Ash can shapeshift. I convinced him to turn into a woman for one night and join Bella and I. It was a lot of fun, but it made him slightly uncomfortable.”

  “How would you feel if you turned into a man?!”

  Lin says “I would probably be really uncomfortable, but I’d be willing to try it at least once. However, I am not as good at shapeshifting as you are.”

  “I could probably make something that would let you.”

  Lin says “Let’s worry about that later. That sounds like an experiment that we should do when you are not around.”

  “Probably a good idea. I know that I will not be attracted to you as a man.”

  Myria says “Why not? I think that Lin would be really cute as a man!”

  “Because I am not attracted to men at all.”

  Lin says “We are getting way off topic here. We still need to decide how to interact with the avatars.”

  Mercy says “Sorry, I am still hung up on you having a lover and Ash seeming not to care.”

  “It’s simple. I won’t share you with another man, but another woman won’t make me jealous. So, as long as it is a woman, all of you can take lovers as you want.”

  Lin says “That’s only part of it. Ash really likes watching two women together, it gets him all worked up.”

  Brightfire says “Then that’s the answer. We treat the avatars as sisters and lovers.”

  Myria says “Oh, should we tie Ash up and let him watch all of us have fun together?!”

  Lin says “Good luck with that! I tried that with Bella, but even my magic couldn’t keep him restrained for long!”

  Mercy says “He gets that worked up?”

  Lin says “Oh, absolutely! I found it quite thrilling when he got loose, but Bella wasn’t as amused.”

  Myria says “I want to see for myself! We should definitely do that later!”

  Lin says “Sure, we can do that. For now, are we all agreed on how we will treat the avatars?”

  Brightfire says “I think we are. It is not like we can mistreat them anyway, they are avatars of goddesses after all. Probably the only one who could get away with mistreating them would be Ash.”

  “Why would I mistreat them?!”

  Brightfire says “I wasn’t saying you would, just that you could do it and get away with it.”

  “Even if I did, I wouldn’t get away with it for long. Seronia and Krenocia would make me pay for it.”

  Lin says “That’s true. There is no way they would let you get away with mistreating versions of themselves. Not that you would. Just like you wouldn’t ever mistreat any of us.”

  Myria says “Not unless we ask him to anyway.”

  Brightfire says “Not that we would let him get away with it if he did!”

  Mercy says “Punishing him for it could be fun though!”

  “We are getting off topic again!”

  Lin says “Yes, but it doesn’t matter, we have made a decision. There isn’t anything else that we need to discuss until the avatars get here.”
