Tama
“Nya! Tama is busy! Go away!” I snapped at the horrible dragon lady. Ever since she had first talked to Sensei. She had kept showing up. I didn’t know why Sensei let her hang around here.
I dodged to the right and sliced down. My wooden sword cut about an inch into the wolf and I had to jerk it out. “How is Tama supposed to cut with a wooden sword!” I cried out in frustration as a second wolf lunged at me from behind.
“I agree, you need a divine blade, one fitting your future role as a Hero.” Manna said simply. “If your good for nothing Sensei was half the man you think he is. You wouldn’t be fighting wolves in a forest naked. You would be fighting demons with a blessed blade.”
I ducked as the second wolf travelled over me. I tried to stab from the bottom, but only left a long scratch across the wolf's belly. I was missing something…
“You are literally a child. No more than ten givings old. Yet he throws you unprepared against creatures that could kill you in an instant.” Manna continued calmly as she suddenly appeared to my side. The third wolf, which was mid jump, was simply crushed under her boots. I heard its bones snap. Yet, it lived.. Barely.
I ignored her and stabbed the third wolf in the head, ending its misery before jumping back as the first wolf lunged at me again. Suddenly Manna's voice came from behind me as she whispered into my ear. “One day little one, you will see all that you were meant to be. You will see what a waste of time all this was. You are perfect, and these..” She trailed off and the remaining 2 wolves were lifted and thrown into nearby trees and stopped moving. “Things are not a true challenge for greatness.”
MY eye twitched and I lashed my sword at her. She gently caught it between both fingers and snapped my sword in half. Leaning in she looked me dead in the eyes.”Remember Tama, I am always watching.. Always.”
“Nya!” I said as I punched her in the face. I felt the bones in my hand shatter and tears streamed down my cheeks.
Manna stood over me, looking at me with her green evil eyes.
I jerked awake panting as I looked around for Manna. My heart was pounding and my tail lashed aggressively behind me. I grabbed it and gently calmed it by petting it. Looking around, I noticed I wasn’t in the arena anymore.
The room was massive and empty. The ground and walls looked super smooth and concentric patterns along the wall in an almost natural form. There was a large night stand with a mirror on it.
A wardrobe was also in the room. It was bigger than any wardrobe I had seen and twice the size of the one from my room at… I swallowed and shook my head.
There was a large set of double doors in the corner of the room that looked like they were made of very fancy wood. I shifted uncomfortably as I looked at the bed I was on. It was so big and had four large pillars coming from the four corners.

The sheets felt super soft and the roof of the bed was almost if not as tall as the ceiling itself?! Slowly, I climbed to the edge of the bed. Which by itself took forever!
Climbing off the large bed, my bare feet touched the floor and I felt an instant chill as the floor was hard, smooth, and cold. I looked at the strange half curtains on the bed as they hung down and shook my head.
Where was I? I turned to blink to the door, but as I appeared in front of it. There was a knock and I blinked back to the other side of the room. It took me two whole blinks! “Princess? Are you awake? I have brought a change of clothes for her majesty!”
I narrowed my eyes. I didn’t recognize the voice and they called me Princess. Where was Saki? I needed Saki…
The door opened and I tensed.. But a young woman walked. She was wearing a weird outfit that was like a dress but not? I think Saki called it a maid outfit. They were apparently very popular with Lyran. He really liked them.
She held a bag in her arms with hangers poking out the top. Her eyes lit up as she saw me and she bowed. “Ah, Princess, you are awake!” She said cheerfully as she walked across the massive room over to the bed. I watched as she moved in slow motion, watching her carefully.
“Nya! Where is Serenity!” I snapped at her. She paused and looked over at me confused before she seemed to understand.
“The er.. Wazikashi that you came in with? You told us to put it on the throne, your majesty. Don’t you remember?” Her words confused me. Why would I… Anna… I narrowed my eyes and the lady looked suddenly uncertain.
She finished her path to the bed and pulled the bag from the hanger. Inside was a very pretty dress. It was a dark purple with frills and left the shoulders off. It was not my gi however and I searched the room. “Where is Tama’s Gi!”
The woman looked uncertain and opened her mouth to respond when there was a splash. In the corner, a big piece of wall just.. Vanished?! Anna came out wearing nothing and holding a towel. She was drying herself with it and singing to herself. “Rub a dub, stuff in the tub! A body for two is a body for one!”
She paused as she noticed the lady and I staring at her. She giggled and her regular dress grew from her body as she tossed the towel at the maid casually. “You’re awake!” She said happily.
I narrowed my eyes at her and she stiffened. “Look, I was just bringing you somewhere safe after you passed out in the arena!” She said with a smile. Turning to the lady, she tilted her head before asking. “Why are you here? Princess Tamaneko made it clear she was not to be disturbed.”
The lady looked petrified and without a word, she left the dress and rushed out of the room. Anna turned to me and smiled. “I..” She wasn’t able to finish before I blinked over to her and forced my hand into her body. Grabbing her core, I pulled it out and began to squeeze.
I wasn’t squeezing hard enough to break, only causing pain. Enough pain for her to learn her lesson. I watched as she clenched her teeth and began to shake. I squeezed a little harder to get her attention.
She instantly responded by grabbing at my hand and trying to pull it out. She wasn’t even able to pull my fingers off. “Give one good reason why Tama shouldn’t kill Anna now!” I said. My voice was low and I felt it tremble with rage.
Anna began to cry as she turned her hand into a sword and stabbed me. It barely made contact and instantly healed. But it was enough and my hand loosened. She grabbed her core and tried to turn.
I summoned water chains and wrapped around the core in her hands and pulled it back. To her credit, she tried to dodge the chains. But I was much faster than her. Now in my hand I began to squeeze harder and I saw the core begin to crack.
“Please no Tama!” She cried as she fell to her knees. “I promise, never again!” She was starting to fall apart as bits of her skin turned to water and splashed onto the ground. The crack got larger.
“I am begging you. I will never possess anyone again! I will be a good pet please!” She sobbed and more of her turned to water and sloshed onto the floor. It was only as the core began to glow slightly did I stop.
“If Anna ever does that again. Tama will kill her.” I said simply as I tossed her core on to the bed without restoring it. She laid on the ground weakly sobbing as I left the room to find Serenity.
