Tama
After a long moment, a man with a large mace entered from the side and brought up the mace while roaring. He was a lionkin. His mane was thick and he had bulging muscles. The crowd went crazy. “I don’t really wanna fight some little girl. So I’ll go easy on yea pipsqueak. I’ll give you an easy out now!” He yelled to the crowd and they all cheered “King Mane! King Mane! King Mane!”
I smiled and pulled out Serenity. “Nya! Let's play!” My voice echoed through the crowd and they laughed. I was confused as to why they were laughing. But I was glad they were in a good mood. It was always fun during a fight!
The guy with the loud voice rushed off to the side and the Lion guy turned to me. He ran at me with his mace in slow motion. I sighed and wondered if we had started or if he was warming up? I blinked over and asked him. “Are we starting? Tama doesn’t know.”
In response, the lionkin took three steps back and steadied himself before bringing the mace above his head. I watched him as he slowly brought it down. I sidestepped it and asked “Are we fighting yet?”
He didn’t respond and continued to attack me so I just kept dodging his attacks for a while. I was so bored after around three slow motion attacks. I just put away Serenity and threw a water dagger at him. I expected him to block the dagger. Instead, he didn’t even seem to see it and he fell over unmoving as the water dagger went directly through his chest. Just like that.. He was dead.
I frowned. I didn’t mean to kill him, that was just a quick throw. Silence filled the arena and I looked up at the stands. They were all staring at me in shock for some reason. The loud guy came up and grabbed my hand, pushing it into the air and spoke into the black thing. “Well ladies and gentlemen, we now know why she is known as the Third Person Tempest! She was truly a storm to watch!
The crowd was silent for another long moment before one of them began to clap. Then another. Soon the whole crowd was clapping and chanting “Third Person Tempest! Third Person Tempest!”
I looked confused at the crowd before turning to the loud guy. “Um, Tama didn’t understand. She didn’t really fight? She just threw a dagger.” I looked at him and he looked back at me with a raised eyebrow. “Well, ain’t you a little shop of horrors? Tell ya what, I am not normally supposed to do this, but if you promise to make your next match last longer, I’ll let you go one more time.”
I looked at him puzzled and asked “Will it be someone fun to fight?” I asked curiously as they dragged the dead Lionkins body out of the Arena.
He looked at me for a second and shrugged before asking. “You got someone in mind?” I thought for a moment and then said. I said “Nya! Tama wants to fight Drake!”
The guy coughed into his hand and shook his head. “Um.. no, you don’t. Why not choose someone else? I’m doing this as a courtesy kid. I don’t know how you beat King Mane, but Luck won’t just let you beat someone from the top five.”
I considered for a moment then said “Then Tama wants to fight the strongest person she can!” I looked at him seriously and he stared back before sighing.
“You know what kid, your funeral.” and with that, he turned back to the crowd. “Well my purveyors of the fine art of combat, it seems the Third Person Tempest’s storm only continues to grow! She had requested another match! Was King Mane only the start of her terrible aftermath, or will this be the end of her thunder?! Her next opponent shall be Brick the Builder! He can fix it!”

The crowd went crazy again and I wondered what a builder was. Goblins built things but they weren’t builders. Why need a title for it?
A massive Wolfkin entered the arena. He held a two handed sword in each hand. He hit his own chest and roared at the crowd. They roared back and cheered wildly. I looked at him and sighed.
I looked over at the loud guy who was already at the other end of the arena. He gave me a thumbs up. I gave him a thumbs up back and he looked at me puzzled.
The Wolfkin guy, probably the builder guy, did not look like he could build anything. He looked like he was better for carrying things. He rushed me, at least he was faster than that Mane guy. I pulled out Serenity and easily blocked both of his swords. He was decently strong, but I never let him get a direct hit. I just glanced at his swords and blinked around him. After a moment I was worried that was all this was going to be.
I stopped blinking and instead started running around him. If I had to fight someone so slow, I might as well do it without skills. I put away Serenity and pulled out my dagger. No skills, no blinking. Just my own Ninja skill and speed!
I let him catch up to me and started dodging left right and down. I slid under him and jumped on his back. Climbing up I grabbed him and pulled back. It did almost nothing except make him grab me. I smiled and the moment he threw me, I flipped in the air, turned around and threw my dagger. This time, I specifically aimed for his right arm. He didn’t even move in time and I hit his shoulder squarely. One two handed sword dropped to the ground and he seemed shocked and annoyed.
“No more mister nice guy! It’s time to bring down the house!” He yelled as the crowd cheered. I cheered as well, I loved bringing down the house. I hated having to rebuild it though.
He rushed me with one sword. He was much faster, but he was still easy to dodge. Finally, I grabbed my dagger out of his shoulder when he got close enough and jumped over him.
Landing directly behind him, before he could turn around, I stabbed him in the right knee and pulled the dagger out before jumping back. He fell to his knees and cried out in agony.
He just.. Stayed like that. After a long moment, while panting, he cried out. “I surrender!” and I deflated. That.. that was it. He didn’t even use any of his elemental power? Not even a primary element fireball or something?
The loud guy stared at me in stunned silence as a group of medical people rushed out and dragged, barely, the large builder guy away. After a long moment of silence, the loud guy finally made his way over to me. He looked at me as if he was looking at something scary. It was the same look Saki gave Reedril when she first met him. She said it was weird to be friends with an ‘ancient city destroying monstrosity.’ I asked her what Anna had to do with it!
The man seemed uncertain what to say and so I asked him “Can Tama fight Drake now?” Tama is bored and these guys are all so slow.
He looked at me for a long moment before asking. “You.. you uh mentioned you were an adventurer yea? What rank are you?” He seemed to be stuttering over his own words and he was sweating. I didn’t know why, it wasn’t that hot and he wasn’t doing any fighting that I saw.. If any of this could be considered fighting…
I also didn’t know what a rank was. So I grabbed my badge out of one of my Ninja Gi pockets. Saki said I didn’t need pockets since I had the endless bag thingy. But I preferred them. It was what I was used to and Anna reformed with them on her.
I handed it to the man who looked at it and his face went super white and he looked at me with a very strong fear. He actually looked whiter than Saki. After a moment of staring at the badge, he looked up at me and asked “You.. you are S rank? As in, in the top three ranks in the entire guild. Is.. is this a joke? Why is an S rank adventurer even here?!” He seemed to be talking to me and himself. He also seemed very confused and terrified.
He seemed to not know what to do and after a moment, he just.. Ran away. He ran to the exit of the arena and kept going. I watched him go in confusion for a moment before turning back to the crowd. “Does anyone want to fight Tama? Tama is bored!” I yelled up at them. Silence filled the arena.
“I’ll fight you.” The voice came from the crowd and Drake jumped down from the stands. He summoned his sword and grinned. “Thank’s for the show, but your streak ends here.”
