Throughout her century-long career as an exorcist for the Church of the Lady of the Dead Moon, Charlotte Dawntreader handled many cases, ranging from farmers raising a few corpses because they needed help with a harvest to ancient ghouls capable of wiping out entire towns if left unchecked. However, the reason she travels to Ledavia has nothing to do with necromancers, or would-be necromancers, or want-to-be-but-not-quite necromancers. She is here to save Mr Brook, her friend’s fiance, from the gallows.
