(A reverse gender role story) While perusing the Royal Solarium for a simple diversion, First Concubine Yuuto Kanayama stumbles upon the infamous book, "The Withered Red Spider Lily." Written in 507 A.E., this novel of manners gained a notorious reputation for its explicit and daring depiction of sexuality. The story follows Hiroki Shimizu, a powerful Dyssian noblewoman and high-ranking general. Fresh from a victorious campaign against the neighboring nation of Cornaul, she is gifted Misbah, a beautiful young Cornaulian captive, by her Queen to serve as her concubine. However, their wedding night does not go as planned. Misbah, seeking vengeance for his family, attempts to assassinate her. Yet, instead of ordering his execution, Hiroki makes a far more unexpected choice: she decides to keep him as her concubine anyway, setting the stage for a dangerous game of power, desire, and revenge.
