Hey everyone,

  I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you so much for all the support during my time writing Book 1. I’d never written anything before this, and it’s been a massive learning experience figuring all of this out as I go.

  Also… writing is hard ?? It’s definitely made me less severe toward other authors and way more critical of myself. Funny how that works. I honestly feel like I’ve been spending more time reading about gardening lately than actually writing. Lesson learned about giving a character more expertise in a subject than I have.

  Sooo, on to business. I’m going to be taking a short intermission during the month of February. This pause will help me build up a stronger buffer and get ahead on writing so the story can stay on a much more consistent schedule going forward. This should also free me up to explore another series I’ve been wanting to start for the past year.

  My goal is to get Patreon about 10 chapters ahead before Book 2 begins releasing here. I want to make sure I can deliver chapters regularly without burning out or rushing important moments in the story.

  I do work full time and give 100% of my free time to my wife and son. I sneak away for 3 hrs a night when they go to bed, and wake up tired the next day to accommodate this :). Worth it! Writing is still a hobby for now, even if I spend a lot of time daydreaming about being able to write 12 hours a day, five days a week. That would be amazing… but I know my skills still need to grow before that happens. That, and a bit of luck, which I’ve already had plenty of thanks to all of you.
