I returned to the realm of the Gods, far above both the physical and magical realm of the mortals and took a deep sigh of relief. I could feel the modicum of authority I had to influence the mortal realm all but dried up after that little stunt but it had to be done. Now I just had to live with the consequences that would mean for me and my few follower who depended on me.
“Bal, how did the dungeon thing go,” a younger voice spoke and I turned to see a smaller being who’s form seemed to be translucent and of stars.
“Hello Astra, it went well all things considered,” I spoke and bowed slightly, even though the astral god was younger she was quite powerful compared to me. “They accepted my boon and have used it quite well to protect themselves and others at this moment.”
She gave a genuine smile, and I felt a little better about this whole thing. I know of many of the gods who would hear this news and either scoff at the idea, or give plated smiles and fake appreciation. Astra though, she was much more genuine, much more happy just to see something go right, and I appreciated that from her.

“I feel as though I should be offended you went and did this behind my back Bal,” I winced at the cacophony of voices and turned. The figure before me was that of a skull floating In the middle of veiled shadow, draping it like a funeral dress and obscuring the rest of the form in darkness.
“I must apologize Mortis it-”
A single bony hand is raised to the lip less form as several voices chuckle at once. “oh dearest Bal, I kid, I kid, that dungeon is not ready for a gift of death,” The form shifts from that of Death to something more…...well no more lovely then a skeleton in funeral dress. Now they sit as a spirit of a lost boy, gray skin and hollow eyes as they speak. “Besides, I could have not asked for a better first blessing for this dungeon.”
I let a small sigh of relief escape me as I looked at these two, both seemed to be happy for this outcome. Mortis more so for their own cryptic reasoning, but if they weren’t going to cause a problem about it maybe others wouldn’t either.
“BAL”
I may have spoke too soon.
