Chapter 5.5-A Chosen Meeting

The door to the Headmaster's office slams shut. Professor Stargazer enters with a worried expression that the Headmaster catches immediately.

“What is the matter, Myria?” the Headmaster asks as he places some paperwork down.

“It’s The Chosen One, sir,” she says as she places down the report for the Ranking Placements.

The Headmaster puts his glasses on and begins to read the Rankings. “How is this possible?” he asks with a hint of disbelief.

“I’m not entirely sure, sir. I did exactly as you asked, but these are the results that came out,” she answers.

“How did he get around the faulty sphere?” the headmaster asks.

“He must’ve sensed our plans, because he broke the sphere with his pure magical might.”

“Preposterous!! Not even you could destroy a sphere of that rarity. Well, at least we get an insight into his [Skills],” the headmaster says with a hint of relief.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

Professor Stargazer hesitates, “Actually, sir. He only showed a single [Skill].”

“Why?” he says, bouncing back into confusion.

“He said that [Skill] was the only one he was willing to show. I believe he was onto our plans, sir,” she says with fear.

“The Chosen One is more formidable than we thought. What [Skill] did he show us?” he asks, waiting in anticipation for an answer.

  The Professor answers shyly, “[Throw].”

The Headmaster falls back into his chair in disbelief. “He’s played us like fools. That’s the only reason why he would show us such a weak [Skill]. What about the written exam?” he asks, fearfully.

“That’s the worst part, sir. He switched the names of his and the Princess's exam. He did it with some sort of magic, and the answers were all written in some sort of language that I don’t recognize. He then threatened me. He told me to reconsider my actions and to learn from them. He knows that I was plotting against him. What are we going to do, sir?” she asks with a look of terror on her face.

“For now, fix the Princesses' exam and give The Chosen One the same grade. It seems that he’s on to us. We’ll need to think of a different way of getting rid of The Chosen One. I’ll make some calls. You keep an eye on him,” the Headmaster says, while stroking his beard evilly.

  “Understood, sir.”
