Mount Nashi, or the Dawn Mountain of Personal Truth, is a mythic, surreal coming-of-age journey told in spare, minimalist prose. It follows Nicky, a twelve-year-old boy with strange pink eyes and no destiny, who leaves home to “see what’s broken” in a world that no longer answers prayers — a world where children walk forward because the world itself has forgotten how.
