C.C. said: "So, Rulu, how do you plan to clean up this mess now? You've twice attempted to assassinate Prince Su Wen and have killed Feihu General. The Sanctuary won't let this go."
Rulu said: "It's simple. Since the matter started with me and Prince Su Wen, it should end with us. As long as I can kill Prince Su Wen, this turmoil can be calmed. The Sanctuary side will know to retreat in the face of difficulty and won't continue to push me too hard because they know the consequences of doing so."
"But Prince Su Wen will certainly be more cautious than before. It won't be so easy for you to kill him now."
"Although this task is difficult, it's not impossible. To kill him, a direct approach won't work. We must wait for the right opportunity. I won't make the same mistake as today," Rulu pondered, his face turning grim.
Seeing that sinister expression on Rulu's face, Nana felt very afraid. She grabbed Rulu's hand and said: "Rulu, do you really intend to do this? Are you still going to try to assassinate Prince Su Wen?"
Rulu gripped Nana's hand firmly and said with determination: "If we don't do this, we have no future. I hope you can support my decision, Nana."
Nana was stunned. After staring at Rulu's face for a while, she shook her head and said: "No, I won't support you. But if you insist on doing this, Rulu, I won't oppose you either. It's getting late. I'm going to rest."
After saying this, Nana stood up and returned to her room with a worried expression.
"That's a relief. At least we've gotten past Nana's objection. If Nana had firmly opposed, all my plans would have been impossible to implement." Rulu let out a long breath, his tense spirit relaxing. As he relaxed, he suddenly felt dizzy, and a sharp pain shot through his head. Rulu covered his head with both hands, collapsed on the sofa, curling up his body, and let out a series of moans.
Seeing Rulu in this state, C.C. couldn't help but complain: "Look at you, overusing your Spiritual-power again. I've told you not to misuse this power, but you just won't listen."
Rulu gritted his teeth and said: "If I didn't use this power, I wouldn't be alive now. Besides, don't I have you by my side, C.C.?"
"You're so stubborn. Come on, lie down. I'll do a spiritual restoration for you." C.C. sighed, sitting beside Rulu and patting her thigh.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
"Mm, thank you..." Rulu looked a bit embarrassed as he laid his head on C.C.'s lap.
C.C. placed her palms on Rulu's temples, gazing down at his face, and began the spiritual restoration. Rulu immediately felt the sharp pain in his head gradually receding. The soothing, relaxed feeling in his head made him unconsciously close his eyes, a smile of contentment and peace appearing on his face.
"Hey, Rulu, what would you do if one day I left you? If you didn't have me by your side?" C.C. said thoughtfully while performing the spiritual restoration on Rulu.
"Then I just won't let you leave me. Problem solved," Rulu said vaguely with his eyes closed.
"But what if, for some reason, I have to leave you?" C.C. asked again.
"There's no such reason. Even if there is, I'll find a way to eliminate it."
"You think it's that easy, but I'm afraid it's not," C.C. sighed lightly. Rulu felt something strange in C.C.'s tone and opened his eyes to look up at her. He felt that C.C.'s expression seemed lonely and sad.
"What are you trying to say, C.C.? Do you want to leave me?" Rulu sensed something and asked.
"No," C.C. denied.
"Really?" Rulu grabbed C.C.'s hand and asked again.
C.C. laughed lightly, patted Rulu's cheek, and said: "Silly, why would I lie to you? Don't forget, you still owe me something. If I left you now, wouldn't I be at a great loss? I wouldn't do such a foolish thing."
"That's good then." Rulu relaxed and closed his eyes again. C.C. continued with the spiritual restoration. Perhaps because he was truly exhausted, Rulu lost consciousness during the restoration. He turned to his side, buried his face against C.C.'s body, and wrapped his arms around her, entering the realm of dreams.
C.C. gazed at Rulu sleeping on her, stroking his head, and said softly: "Rest assured, I won't leave you before you complete that task for me. But after that, I won't be able to accompany you on your journey. You'll have to rely on yourself."
The next morning, after waking up, Rulu stayed home without going out. He constantly monitored external developments through television broadcasts and other channels. What puzzled him was that the Sanctuary side had not announced Feihu General's death, nor had they conducted large-scale searches for the assassin throughout the city as they had done previously. The entire day in Blue Sea City was peaceful, passing without any disturbances.
The following morning, Rulu received an email from Shari. After reading it, Rulu informed Nana and C.C. that he needed to go out for a while, wouldn't be back for lunch, and would return in the evening.
This naturally caused Nana to worry. Rulu explained to her that he wasn't going to do anything dangerous this time but was going to his former school to meet his old friend Shari.
Nana had also studied at that school before, and Shari was her friend too. Hearing that Rulu was just going to school to see Shari, Nana felt reassured. She told Rulu to come back early and be careful, without saying anything more.
Rulu then left home and didn't return until evening. For the next three consecutive days, Rulu went out early every day to his former school and returned home very late.
