62: Giants Crushed,Awe Prevails

“You can’t kill us! With so many deities here, word of you killing giants will spread across every Basin. Eventually, even stronger giants will come for revenge!”

The lightning giant lets out a panicked yell.

He knows full well his combat strength is about the same as water giant Aegir’s. If this snake can cut down Aegir so easily, he can just as easily take him out too.

This makes lightning giant Thrumir’s attitude totally different from Kári’s. Storm giant Kári’s driven by rage, his urge to kill Oliver spiking like crazy, but Thrumir’s genuinely terrified.

Legend has it this lightning giant Thrumir’s got a short fuse, ready to kill or blow up at the slightest provocation. But right now, in front of Oliver, his temper’s just fine—no trace of that hotheadedness. All that’s left in his heart is fear.

Mainly ‘cause Oliver’s power right now is shocking him to his core. A level 16 snake killing a level 17 giant that easily?

They say the longer you live, the more you fear death. Watching his ally die so effortlessly lights a fire of terror in this lightning giant’s heart.

  “Die!”

But Oliver’s not stopping. With a roar, he swings his second sword, a terrifying bloodlight slashing toward the lightning giant like it’s out to end the world.

The sword hasn’t even landed, but the other deities watching are already trembling, their eyes wide with utter shock. Some weaker deities, just catching a glimpse of this swing from afar, pass out from fear.

“No way you’re pulling this off!”

Storm giant Kári bellows, “Don’t be scared—I’ve got your back!”

As he yells, his body erupts with blinding light. The storm primal power Oliver had locked down breaks free in an instant, surging like a tsunami toward Oliver’s bloodlight slash!

  “I don’t wanna die! I don’t wanna die!”

The lightning giant screams in panic, throwing out every life-saving trick he’s got. A massive light-form shield projects from a lightning item in his body, merging with Kári’s storm power to block Oliver’s bloodlight slash.

  Boom!

The two forces collide, like hundreds of planets exploding at once, a blinding light bursting out that could annihilate everything. The spectacle’s unreal. If you had to describe it, to the other deities, it’s like watching a supernova go off in human eyes!

But the result? It blows everyone’s mind, leaves them reeling. The combined power of two giants is that terrifying, but against the bloodlight that seems to erase everything, it shatters like glass.

The bloodlight keeps going, crashing onto the lightning giant’s body.

  Crack, crack!

A jarring breaking sound rings out. The lightning giant’s towering, mountain-like, steel-strong body—larger than life to other deities—shatters like a mirror punched to pieces in the blink of an eye. But this guy’s not dead—just heavily injured. He’s not far from death, though.

Guess Kári’s help did something, just not much.

“Damn it, this is all Kári and Aegir’s fault! I didn’t even wanna come kill you! Spare me, spare me, please!”

The lightning giant begs like crazy, all his giant-blood pride and Basin-lord confidence gone. He’s groveling like a worm. If he could turn back time, no way he’d team up with these idiots to hunt this snake. Prey? They’re the real prey.

Too bad he’s realizing this too late.

  “Why’s it like this… It shouldn’t be, shouldn’t be… Our attacks should’ve stopped you… No, it’s this space—this space is messed up!”

Storm giant Kári’s floored, unable to wrap his head around it. He’s a level 18 powerhouse, and he used such refined, massive storm primal power. By all logic, his attack should’ve at least held Oliver back, not crumbled so pathetically.

  But this guy’s a level 18 giant for a reason—he quickly senses something’s off.

“You—what the hell did you do? All our powers are weakened in this space, even suppressed…”

Storm giant Kári stares at Oliver in disbelief. His soul spreads out, covering every direction. “500 million kilometers… a 500-million-kilometer range, all your domain…”

And while he’s processing, Oliver’s already swinging his third sword. This slash’s bloodlight is even scarier—fast as hell, sharp as hell.

“Ah, you damn snake! Kill me, and you’ll die too! The giant clan’ll hunt you down like mad—you’re done for!”

“Please, spare me! I know I screwed up! I’ll be your servant, your slave, whatever—just let me go, let me go!”

The lightning giant’s like he’s got a split personality—one second cursing Oliver with venom, the next begging pathetically. He’s got none of a Basin lord’s swagger left. He’s just a groveling, useless bug now.

Too bad, no matter what he says or does, it’s pointless. Oliver follows up with two more swings, each stronger than the last!

This lightning giant seems to have some life-saving treasure keeping him in critical condition but not dead. But Oliver’s attacks keep coming, each one insanely powerful.

How many more times can that treasure save him? Finally, Oliver shatters him completely, reducing him to a pure clump of chaos energy laced with high-grade lightning primal runes.

This energy clump floats in space, crackling with electric arcs, looking insanely tempting. Unlike the chaos energy left by regular deities, this one’s got not just primal rune power but giant bloodline power too.

“Lightning and water—two giant bloodlines. Toss them into my gem space, and it’s bound to grow big-time.”

Oliver muses, thrilled, swallowing both clumps of chaos energy to digest later.

This scene leaves the spectating deities—especially those hoping to gang up with the giants to get a piece of Oliver—feeling like they’ve been dunked in icy water on the coldest planet, chilled to the bone from soul to body! Too terrifying!

Two level 17 giants, two Basin lords, cut down by Oliver like he’s squashing ants! They don’t even know how to describe what they’re feeling. Oliver’s feats have completely stunned the countless deities here, leaving them speechless.
