Prologue: Welcome Back to Despair! (V)

"Man, that girl is really something else huh? That whole gothic Lolita aesthetic is pretty tired too." said the delinquent boy.

  He turned and noticed Ryota.

"Oh, hey dude! I'm Leon Kuwata, Ultimate Baseball Star." he said, scratching his head. "Guess I looked pretty me just standing there while everything was going on, huh?"

"N-no, not really." Ryota responded "I probably would have done the same if I hadn't been involved. I really need to work on being less headstrong about my animations too..."

"Nah man, that's cool! I wish I was that dedicated about baseball, I don't even show up to the practices. Plus, anime's pretty sweet. I was totally into those Shōnen shows when I was younger!"

"I'm gd you appreciate it. I'll catch up with you ter." He said as Leon exited the room too.

As he was getting ready to leave himself, he noticed there was one st girl he hadn't met yet, the one with the sword on her back. She looked pretty intimidating, but he figured that after everything that happened it couldn't be that bad. Luckily, he was right this time.

"H-hey, I don't think we've met yet. I'm Ryota Mitarai, the Ultimate Animator, nice to meet you..." he said.

"Yes, I figured that after all the screaming and fighting that took pce because of your ultimate ability." she said dryly "I couldn't care less about such trivial things however, my name is Peko Pekoyama and I am the Ultimate Swordswoman."

"Ah, yeah, I guess that kinda gave it away... But being a swordswoman must be quite difficult too, I'd imagine it requires a lot of training?" he replied.

"Yes, I thought that would be obvious. Now, if you have nothing left to discuss I suggest we join the others in their search. I believe I heard them heading towards the entrance." she stated.

"Yeah... Let's head there now I guess..."

With that they headed towards the entrance with the others. Searching for any information about their current situation along the way...

"Huh, that's weird" Leon piped up after he entered "The front door's locked. Maybe it's just for security? What do you guys think?"

"What I think is that there is a literal vault door covering the entire entrance to the school. So, I suppose "weird" is an accurate description. I personally would have used a word like 'concerning' or 'worrying' but that is just my take." Mukuro said, not trying to hide the sarcasm in her voice.

"O-oh yeah, now that you mention it, the windows were all shuttered too. I wonder why they did that..." said Chihiro.

"Whatever the Hell's going on they better end it real soon. I'm getting tired of all this hazing shit or whatever it is." Said Mondo angrily.

"Hey man, don't let them get to you. In order to succeed in life, you need to Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome!" Shouted Nekomaru, apparently unshaken by their earlier altercation.

"I couldn't agree more! It is wonderful to have a true motivator like yourself on our team!" Taka added.

"Ibuki thinks so too! Everyone is all nervous and frustrated, but just think of all the fun new adventures we'll experience once we have orientation!" said Ibuki.

"Since you all seem so enthusiastic, can one of you Improvise, Adapt, or Motivate a way for us to open this door?" Peko said, shutting them all down instantly.

"Umm, what's that thing above the door? The shiny bck metallic item next to the camera." Sayaka questioned.

"That's a 7.62×51mm NATO six-barrel rotary machine gun. An M134 to be exact. Capable of shooting up to 6,000 rounds in a minute, or 100 every second. And it appears to be pointing directly at us." Mukuro answered, unfazed.

A collective "HUH?!" could be heard throughout the group. This day had just gone from strange to downright unbelievable.

"T-They have a gun. Why-Why does a school need that?" Ryota stammered.

"They'll probably tell us at orientation, maybe it's some kind of security system? This is a school for ultimates, they probably go all out." Hiyoko said, hopefully.

"In any case, I think it would be best if we didn't do anything that might trigger it to go off." Said Sayaka.

"By the way, there's a question I've been wanting to ask you all for a while... Several actually, but I'll start with this:" Teruteru said. "We're in two different csses, see, but we're both going to orientation together, what sense does that make?"

The others seemed surprised at the good point Teruteru made, truly unexpected for him. However, before they could unch into another debate about the possibilities, the monitor lit up again, dispying the same monochromatic bear.

"Attention all students, orientation will begin momentarily! Please make your way to the gymnasium at your earliest convivence. Once we are all assembled, our journey together will begin!" the bear said, before disappearing once again from the monitor.

"It seems they are ready for our arrival! Let us make haste and assemble in the gym immediately!" Taka shouted.

With that, they reluctantly followed Taka to the gym; ready to know just what was going on. Orientation should expin everything, right?...
