Karliah was in awe. Why would his random man injure himself for her, especially when they just met and his own wife at that. Annabelle retreated her strange green goo and put one hand over her mouth, the other reached for her husband. He moved quickly and didn't allow her to touch him. He retreated back to Karliah and gripped her arm until she felt a burning pain, then looked down to see the green goo resting where he held her.
"Sorry Karliah but this is the only way I can save you." Herald whispered. "It'll hurt for you a ton".
After he said the last word of his sentence, Karliah fell to the ground screaming in pain. The burning sensation she was feeling was worse than the wolves' attack from earlier. Annabelle sucked her teeth and Herald looked at her and grinned. "So, you know what this means my love! Heal her first or both of us will eventually die to the Rot". Karliah seen her Health Bar go down drastically until she heard a shuffle and felt a hand on her head. Annabelle had palmed both her and her husband, a glowing yellow light shone brightly in her hands. Karliah's Health Bar shot up straight to being a full green.
Most importantly, her vision was now clear.
"I-I can finally see clearly now!" Karliah yelled in excitement, getting up and starting a dance.
"The Hand. My ability to heal just about anything but still it's limited to a few conditions. Anyway, you have explaining to do about yourself and your strange movements." Annabelle said shooting dagger with her eyes at Karliah.
"What dancing? I don't know I kind of just moved. Maybe I was a DANCER?!" She replied getting louder.
"HAHAHA My plan worked! Now let's join each other at the table and figure this all out!" Herald screamed. Annabelle's gaze turned to him, and he slouched his poster and quickly moved to sit down at a large round table with a map of the area in the middle. Karliah shown amazement at the table and ran to sit down with Annabelle walking behind her. After the three were seated, Herald's face grew serious. Karliah gulped as in the little time she known him that stare was something that shook her bones.
"I'll start this off with trust. What's your first question to my wife or I, then one of us will ask a question in return." He said in a monotone voice.
"Where am I? What planet is this?" Karliah asked.
"You're in the mountain and grassland Region, Illicit. Our planet is named Constitutional, the planet of Law".
*Speaker Is Telling The Truth*
A robotic like voice spoke out from the pocket of Herald, who had his hand in it. Herald insisted that it's just one of his abilities and also that Karliah tells the truth, changing back to his more lighthearted tone.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"My turn, what were you REALLY doing around the mountains?" Annabelle asked. She laid her arms on the table with her breasts sitting on top of them.
"I told you before that I just woke up here! I'm pretty sure I'm not even from this planet...but I can't remember much, and I can be an overthinker".
*Speaker Is Telling The Truth*
"Holy hell! You really just turned into a big mystery, no pun intended!" Herald laughed then looked at his wife who had her jaw dropped just a little and speechless. Karliah looked around the house some more then stared at Herald.
"So...who exactly are you people"?
"I am the Lawman, or you might be familiar with the title Lord of Illicit, and my wife is the LEGENDARY Batte Mage that helped and fought with troops in many wars, even the battle to my heart HAHAHAHA! He boomed in laughter. "As an added bonus, both of us rule this Region in hopes of building a better future, and the reason my caring wife wasn't so...caring"!
*Speaker Is Telling The Truth*
"WAIT YOU'RE A L-" Karliah caught herself before it counted as a question. Herald laughed and told her that she was a smart lady, including even though it was their turn it still would've counted.
"What was that Law of yours, that water that stopped Belle?" Herald asked staring at his wife's chest.
"Uhhh I don't know this box appeared in my view about a Fishing Line? Then I just pushed her to get away I guess." She replied trying to make that Skill Tree pop up again, but she didn't know how.
*Speaker Is Telling The Truth*
Annabelle jaw dropped even more. She got up with her chest bouncing and pointed at Karliah, stomping her gold heels on the table showing her thighs.
"YOU HAVE A LAW THAT CAN HOLD ME AND IS NOT EVEN FROM ME JUST WHO THE HELL ARE YOU GIRL!" She yelled at her. Karliah stood up with her chest bouncing as well. She mimicked Annebelle down to pointing at her too.
"ARE YOU NOT LISTENING I DON'T KNOW WHO THE HELL I AM QUEEN BRAINS!" She yelled back at her. Both of them smushed each other's cheek with their own and growled. Herald stayed in his seat still laughing.
"Ladies, Ladies no need to fight here!" He said with a wide smile.
Both of them turned, pointed, and told Herald to shut up and went back to smushing each other's cheek, pushing back and forth. Herald slouched again whispering to himself "not again" when a large bang was heard from their front door that gained the three of them attention. Seconds later there was another bang at the same door again.
"Karliah...go upstairs and hide in the closet with the blue paint. GO!" Herald whispered at her after getting up. She nodded and quickly turned around to tip toe to the stairs to do what Herald instructed. She got to the first step when she heard a loud clash that sounded like glass breaking to the room she was going to. She stood frozen as she seen a large man in dark grey Knight like Armor walk to the top of the stairs and looked down to her. He wielded a Double Bladed Axe in both of his hands. He wore no Helmet, so his menacing face and dark black eyes stared at her. His teeth badly rigid with his smile, the look of a Barbarian.
"Pretty young woman...you must be our bonus, aren't you?" He said in a raspy voice. Karliah then heard more bangs and clashes followed by the front door falling to the floor and more people shouts getting closer. The man jumped down to stairs and Karliah turned around to try to run away but she ran into another man with the same Armor as the one she just encountered. He grabbed her by her dress and threw her into a corner.
"NO, NO GET AWAY FROM ME! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" She screamed as he grabbed her arm with the man from before in front of her as well.
"Get away from my friend. You bunch don't deserve mercy." Herald said from behind them, his large Double Bladed Axe in his hands.
