Historian’s Diary 2 – The Wandering Swordmaster

A year after the Fourth Great War of Expansion, news of a particurly unique Swordmaster began to spread like wildfire. Eyewitnesses described her as "petite but ferocious," but asides from that short description, not much else was known about her. She wandered the continent, going from country to country, sying monsters in the thousands.

Her exploits were innumerable as she went about killing monsters like it was her divine assignment. She even came to be revered as the hero of a town in the Principality of Nobia infamous for its annual Centaur raids. But if that were all, she wouldn't have come to be known as widely as she ended up being.

From time to time, she would offer up her sword in battles and skirmishes between countries, decimating the enemy side and killing hundreds of soldiers like it was nothing. This led to an incomparably high demand on her sword as a mercenary, but she was as elusive as a ghost, never lingering in one pce for too long.

Then, one day she suddenly disappeared from the public eye, never to be seen again. This strange character certainly left her mark on the world, but I could never understand her sudden disappearance. Many theories arose as to the reason behind this, but I never subscribed to such. An accurate account of the history was all that truly mattered to me and for quite an important reason, too.

However, if I went into that, I fear we'd be here forever. Therefore, I must conclude this entry with this: as hard as it is to believe, the Wandering Swordmaster was a character that truly existed, with eyewitness reports confirming her kills which could be anywhere from 7000 - 20000, depending on who you ask. She wandered the continent for six months killing monsters and fighting as a mercenary before suddenly vanishing from the public eye. The reasons for this remain unknown.
