Chapter 65. 5 wonders.

“Who are you?” Anise asked, snatching the orb over.

  “God.”

  “Really?”

  “No.”

  “...”

Anise stared at the orb, considering whether or not to smash but decided to refrain.

“But, think of me as a proxy.”

“A secretary?” Xania asked, snatching the orb before Anise considered smashing it.

  “A proxy.”

  “Secretary.”

  “Proxy.”

  “Mascot.”

  “No… that's not even… screw it…”

A sigh came from the orb before it started speaking again.

“Look, this was supposed to sound professional but I really can't be bothered, just don't complain later. The elves won't disturb you, they'll help if it's reasonable and aren't your enemies.”

“Sure, but onto a more important topic.”

  “Yes?”

  “What do we call you?”

Anise glared at Xania for a moment long enough for Xania to notice before fixing her expression.

“Well, I can't really tell me my name so—”

“Sure, I'll call you orb lady.”

  “What? No, thats—”

Xania infused some of her own divinity out of curiosity, turning the orb from greenish to a teal colour, ending the conversation as the orb spoke up once more, this time in a monotonous AI voice.

  Beep beep, thank you!

  “...”

  “I vote 1.”

Thank you for your time, please suggest improvements or what you were dissatisfied with.

“I want that lady again as compensation since she made a stupid non-humorous joke at the start.”

  Beep beep.

Thank you for your time, have a nice day.

The orb turned back into transparent, the divinity being sent out of it as Xania and Anise stared at it for a moment longer before returning it to Elvia who took it and went back to sleep, Ella lying beside her and taking the entire blanket for herself.

Xania stared at Anise for a moment confusing her.

  “What?”

“We aren't going to do anything about what we just learnt?”

“What is there to do? Besides, we still have to visit the dragon' diviner and you still have to go study.”

  “Oh, yea…”

Xania reluctantly went back to their room as Anise followed behind, closing the door behind them as they reentered the room, sitting back down and continuing to study.

  (}-----couple days later-----{)

Xania and Anise continued studying together and to nobody's surprise, they didn't even get a quarter through the dictionary despite studying for a couple days without break.

“Alright, I suppose we have no more spare time, let's get going.”

Anise kept the dictionary in her bracelet, standing up as Xania stood up after her, stretching herself and walking towards the bed.

“No,” Anise said, pulling Xania back by her collar, bringing her to the dining room, Xania taking the chance to take a short nap on the way there.

“We're here!” Anise shouted, expecting a response from Dragrove but not receiving one, confusing her as she looked around, finding a note on the table.

She walked up to the note, letting go of Xania as she fell onto the ground but still remaining asleep.

  “What's this?”

She picked up the note and read it.

You've been gone for a whole week, we were meant to meet in 3 days, I don't feel like waiting any longer.

  P.s flip this note around.

Anise flipped it to the other side in confusion, noticing a teleportation circle.

  “Oh.”

Anise walked up to Xania, still asleep on the ground as she sat down beside her.

“Wake up,” She nudged gently, getting no response.

“Wake up,” She said, this time with a slight bit of annoyance and nudging once more, getting no response once again.

  “...”

Anise stood up, teleporting lemon into her hand and holding it over Xania's face before squeezing it entirely, some juice flowing out onto her hand, dripping onto Xania's eyes.

Xania immediately woke up, sitting up as she rubbed her eyes.

  “I hate you!”

“The feelings mutual, let's get going now.”

Xania kept rubbing her eye before using healing magic to get rid of the slight discomfort.

“Annoying…” She muttered as Anise walked behind her, fixing her messy hair up from the lack of rest.

“Alright, let's go now for real.”

Anise ripped the note in half as the teleportation circle activated, sending them to a massive island floating mid-air.

“Where are w— ahh!” Xania said, nearly falling off the edge as she took a step back to look at their surroundings, Anise catching her by her wrist, pulling her back on.

“One of the 5 wonders of the world, the floating kingdom of the dragons—Favarnia.”

Xania looked around, finding hundreds of similar floating islands surrounding bigger sized ones, surrounding even bigger ones, surrounding a singular gigantic sized one, totalling up to 3 rings of islands, each ring having a massive gap in-between them.

“5 wonders? What are the other 4?”

“Well, one is… you and the demon kingdom.”

  “Wow, I'm a wonder?”

  “... I suppose so.”

“Makes sense, I am amazing after all.”

“Next is the world tree, followed by the underworld and Augeria with the last being the afterlife.”

  “After life?”

“No clue, humans strongly believe it exists, so they decided to classify it as one.”

  “Oh…”

“Anyways, we should proceed since we have quite the distance to cover, teleportation isn't allowed either since we need approval.”

  “What, why?!”

“They had an incident in the past where… nevermind, it takes too long to explain. Teleportation is banned unless the leader allows it, let's go.”

Xania sighed, spreading open her wings as she flew after Anise, using wind magic to catch up.

“That's not allowed either, magic isn't allowed at all.”

  “...”

Xania and Anise eventually reached the second ring, finding the bigger sized islands to have towers shielded with magic along with magic to sound an alarm in the event of an intruder.

  “We should copy them.”

“Sure,” Anise muttered, knowing that when Xania said ‘we’ she meant that she wouldn't do anything, leaving it to her only.

“We're invited so the alarms wouldn't sound.”

  “Nice.”

They both rest for a while in the island before resuming their journey to the third ring or islands which has a wall surrounding it with houses on some islands and full on villages on the bigger ones, people going about and doing their own things.

“Wow… what this place seems a lot nicer to live than our kingdom…”
