Xania sent her beam the moment he sent his, both beams meeting in the middle, letting out a massive surge of mana, sending all nearby guards away, and forcing Anise to put a shield up.
“Stupid old man!”
Xania prepared another few beams as the chief did the same, every beam clashing with each other, sending dark mana everywhere along with a weird type of mana from the chief.
The chief began to prepare even more beams as Xania started to do the same before both Xania and the chief got hit on the back of their heads, both turning around and instantly stopping their attacks.
“Anise?”
“My lord… We were supposed to maintain a friendly relationship, not pollute their air!”
“How is this my fault?! This is clearly the old man’s fault!”
Xania pointed at the chief, who was also being scolded by a girl seemingly around 17-20 years old, before deciding to eavesdrop by enhancing her hearing with mana, Anise doing the same.
Both of them immediately stopped enhancing their hearing as the alarms were still ringing loudly, giving both of them a headache, “Fucccc—---!!!”
“Stupid…”
Anise sighed, using magic to blow up the nearby alarms, “Problem fixed.”
Xania and the chief both turned back to each other, planning to attack before getting smacked again.
Xania turned to Anise in annoyance, “Fine… No fighting, happy?” She crossed her arms.
“Not really, but I suppose I’ll just be satisfied with this.”
The woman began to fly closer as Xania attempted to use some magic, but was kicked by Anise.
“Hello there,” The woman called out. “I apologise for the behavior of my father.
“Your father? The chief had a daughter?” Anise spoke up, stopping Xania from asking anything rude.
She tilted her head at Anise’s actions but decided not to ask, “It’s not a well-known fact since I don’t participate in many big social events.”
“What’s your name?” Xania suddenly spoke up with somewhat of a rude tone due to the chief still glaring at her.
“Tsk…” Anise materialized a chair, keeping it floating with wind magic before pointing at it. “Sit.”

“I’m not a do—”
“Sit.”
Xania reluctantly sat as the chief’s daughter let out a soft chuckle, attracting Anise’s attention back to her.
“It’s okay, I suppose it was somewhat rude of me not to introduce myself properly. My name is Firal.”
“So… Since you’re the chief’s daughter, then… You know dragrove?”
Xania glanced over, clearly interested in the answer, ignoring the chief’s glare.
“I suppose.” She glanced away in discomfort—a fact that went unnoticed by Xania.
“I suppose I won’t ask any fur—”
“What do you mean?” Xania spoke up again, raising her arms in surrender while pointing to the chair, indicating that she was still on it as Anise glared at her.
“No, it’s okay, but may we talk about this later?” She glanced at the nearby guards who were pretending to not care but clearly able to hear everything.
“Sure…” Anise responded, making sure not to give Xania the chance to speak again.
Anise wrapped the chair with her train as she pulled it along with Xania on it, enjoying the free ride as Firal teleported them all to the center island, where a volcano rested.
Anise stared at it in amazement due to its size, and the fact that it’s floating in the air. “Is… That active?”
“No, but it does have a defence system implanted in it along with magically-produced magma at the bottom.”
Firal entered the volcano as Anise followed behind. The inside of the volcano with a spiral staircase on the volcano’s walls. Anise dispelled the wind magic on it, letting Xania and the chair fall into the magma, burning the chair and Xania’s clothes to nothing.
Xania turned her head to look at Anise, who was looking down at her, Firal doing the same, but without the annoyed expression that Anise was wearing.
“Some help?”
Firal turned to Anise, who shook her head before turning to Xania and shrugging.
Xania paused for a short while before flying out and removing the magma on her body with magic before instantly replacing her clothes. “Thanks so much,” Xania said to Anise before following Firal.
“My pleasure.” Xania and Anise followed Firal who led them to her bedroom, Anise turning around to find the door wide open due to Xani’s laziness before just closing it herself.
“So?” Xania asked, getting impatient.
Firal glanced at Xania for a second before sitting down on the edge of the bed, “Since you are both important people. I’m trusting you know now to spread this matter about but most of my siblings are only half related to me,” Firal admitted in a tone less polite and more serious than before.
Xani tilted her head in confusion, “Huh?”
Anise thought about what Xania said before remembering what she had taught her previously before using telepathy, “My lord… Shut up… I’ll explain it later.”
Xania ignored Anise’s telepathy, continuing to speak. “So… That means your parents didn’t love each other?”
Anise quickly ran in front of Xania, “Please ignore what this idiot said, she’s still a complete idiot.”
“Hey, I’m not an idi—”
Anise kicked her leg backwards into Xania’s, “Shut it.”
“Well, it’s not like she’s wrong, my mom was a slut after all, having dozens of men chase her at once and my parents had an arranged marriage.” She answered in a monotonous tone before sighing.
“Was? She stopped being a… what do you call it? A ‘slut?’”
“My mother? No. I killed her.”
“Why?”
“It’s normal, especially for a competitive species like dragons, if I had killed my father, it wouldn’t be considered usurping the throne, it would be considered the winner’s rights.”
“Throne? But you guys don’t call him majesty or whatever it is?”
“It was just an example. By the way, the diviner will be here later, so you guys can go finish whatever you came here for.”
Anise watched as Anise kept asking questions that would get a normal person killed, followed by Firal providing information that would be both great gossip material and being able to make the entire species hunt them down.
