  Alex smiled faintly, his expression a mixture of amusement and resolve as he muttered to Lolopechka, "Aren't you getting a little too greedy now?"

  Lolopechka's cheeks flushed lightly, the color betraying her embarrassment. It wasn't her fault—how could she resist the allure of such fasating magic? The opportunity was simply too pelling to ignore.

  Alex sighed as he observed her rea. Her determined expression made it clear she wouldn't relent so easily. Shaking his head, he decided to humor her. "Well, it's not like I 't let you study my magic…"

  Before he could finish, Lolopechka interrupted, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "R-Really?" she asked eagerly.

  "At least let me finish my sentence," Alex replied with a sigh. "I'm taking a huge risk by dealing with the curse pced on you. Tampering with it will likely alert Megicu. Giveakes, don't you think I deserve something of equal value?"

  Before Lolopechka could respond, Gadjah stepped forward, his thteous.

  "Of course. If you truly help the Queen, we will give you whatever you desire."

  "That's what you said so," Alex's lips curled into a smirk as he turned his gaze back to Lolopechka. Speaking slowly and deliberately, he said, "Then I want you to have a child with me."

  His words sent shockwaves through the room. The Spirit Guardians were frozen in disbelief, their jaws hanging open as they processed the audacious request.

  Did he seriously just ask the Queen to bear his child?

  Gadjah trembled with fury, his fists ched tightly. His voice thundered as he roared, "You bastard! How dare you…?"

  Alex met his anger with a calm smile. "It seems you have feelings for the Queen, huh?"

  Gadjah's eyes widened, his anger intensifying. "Why you…!"

  "Then why are you the oing sly?" Alex asked, cutting him off. "The Queen hasn't even said anythi."

  Alex chuckled, his ughter startling her. "Life is always uable and who knows when I will die. Since my enemies are the entire devil race then I 't really say when and where will I meet my end. So, before dying I want to at least leave something behind that will tinue my journey. Or even if that will not happen, isn't it an instinct for a strong man to seek a strong parto have a child with? Just think about what type of earth-shattering monster will be born if I bine my magic with yours. After all, someone who fe a tract with the spirit of water, Undine, and uses her power to such a perfeakes you a great genius."

  Lolopechka blinked, processing his reasoning. Though his words were ced with bravado, she uood his point. After a brief pause, she said, " I take some time to think about it?"

  "Of course," Alex replied with a smile. "Take all the time you need… at least until one of us dies."

  He ughed at his own joke, but no one else joined in.

  Clearing his throat awkwardly, he tinued, "Let's focus on the curse for now. Afterward, you give me the information about the devils."

  Lolopechka nodded her head.

  Alex smiled and said. "Then show me where the curse is..."

  "Uh? You mean... right now." Lolopechka's face flushed red as she fidgeted with her fingers.

  Alex had no his rea and said. "I don't have the entire day, you know..."

  "Wait!"

  Before Lolopechka could lead the way, Uhe spirit of water, who Alex had also defeated interjected. She had been standing behind Lolopechka and listening to the versation silently.

  Her ethereal form—a stunning woman with hair and a gown of flowing water, fins in pce of ears, and pale, almost translut skin—stepped forward.

  Undine said, her voice serious. "How exactly do you pn to remove the curse? Expin it to me first."

  She had already experiehat the young boy was not yur magi but a high level being close to the level of transdent.

  It really surprised the Spirit of water, which had been alive for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.

  Alex raised a hand, gesturing for Uo take it. Puzzled, she hesitated before pg her hand in his palm.

  The moment their hands touched, a terrifying su force emanated from Alex, pulling at Undine's magic. Her eyes widened in shock.

  "S-Stop! I 't…" she cried, panic overtaking her as she struggled to pull away.

  Alex released her, smiling as she stumbled back. U out a scream of horror and darted behind Lolopechka, trembling.

  The Guardians stared in stunned silence, unprepared for the sight of the formidable water spirit c like a frightened child.

  "W-What did you just do?" Lolopechka demanded, her voice filled with shock.

  Alex shrugged nontly. "Actually I don't know much about it. But my mother is born with a special dition or she gets it at a ter stage of her life... Anyway, the point is my mom had a special body. She suck away mana and life force from any living thing or spirit as long as they are in tact. The only problem was that she had no trol over it. The reason she abandoned me... is the same. She was scared that she would untrolbly take away my life force, killing me so she left me in front of church..."

  Alex paused for a moment and took a deep breath before tinuing. "I also awakehe same power but unlike her, I fully trol it. And with this, I take away that curse from you into my body."

  Lolopechka's brows furrowed in . "But won't that put you in danger?" she asked, her voice tinged with unhappiness. "I 't let someone else suffer for my sake."

  Alex's smile softened. "That's my decision to make. You're fighting to protect your kingdom, aren't you? sider this my way of leveling the pying field. Now, let's get started."

  "Alex," Lolopechka begaantly, "are you absolutely sure about this? The curse isn't ordinary. It's ced with dark magic directly tied to Megicu. Even if you absorb it, it might do irreversible damage to your body."

  Alex tilted his head, his eyes steady. "I've faced worse. I'm not afraid of what happens to me as long as you're free to protect your kingdom."

  His unwavering fideartled Lolopechka, and she felt a strange warmth bloom in her chest. Still, the risks weighed heavily on her mind.
