The monsters and humans who were transported to the ‘Alliance of All Living Things’ were currently gathered in the backyard of the headquarters.
Just retly, one of the monsters had gone berserk, leaving a rge hole in the wall. Several members of the Alliance were busy repairing the damage.
"Miss Momo, good m," greeted one of the members.
"Good m. How are things going?" she replied.
"To be ho, aside from the mohat escaped, the rest inside are showing signs of agitation. The other races aren’t as dangerous, but their mental states aren’t great either."
In trast to the monsters, races with higher intellect, like the elves and demi-humans, mostly didn’t show tendeo harm others. Their issues were primarily psychological, such as depression.
"Since you’ve arrived, I assume the escaped monsters have bee with?"
"Yes, they’re over there."
Momo gestured to the group of morailing behind Aris and others, who had fallen behind due to the time it took t the creatures in.
"That was fast. We didn’t expect... Whoa!?"
The members repairing the wall stopped iracks, their eyes widening as they looked at the monsters. The creatures, which had once been filled with intense hostility and wariness, were now calm—like harmless little animals.
Though their size was far from small.
"What’s going on?" one of the workers asked, still in shock.
"It’s nothing. Their beor has arrived. We’re heading inside now, so you tih the repairs," Aris expined.
"Ah, uood. Please, go ahead."
The workers were eager for help with the monsters and humans’ psychological issues.
Aris led the group with the mooward the backyard, which, while certainly expansive, didn’t look too different from any other ‘estate backyard.’ There were flowers and pnts, trees, and some basic furniture like chairs and pavilions.
The main difference, however, was a small building tucked away in a er, likely used as a pce to sleep a.
"Grr… Grrr!"
As they ehe monsters began growling, then immediately ran toward the ter of the yard.
Along the way, other monsters—like lion-like creatures lying on the grass or bird-like creatures perched in trees—rose as the sounds reached their ears.
Before anyone could figure out what was happening, the monsters seemed to unicate among themselves, then, as if ohey all turo look at Aris and the others.
"Ugh!"
Momo, who had once been a weak monster, couldn’t help but flinch as she saw them turning toward her. Despite her current strength after evolving, the shadows of her childhood still haunted her.
The moment the mourheir gaze toward them, she instinctively froze. But when they charged toward them in unison, it wasn’t just a simple rea—it was as if her body was about to colpse in fear.
Just before she hit the ground, however, the monsters reached Aris and immediately y down in front of her, behaving like docile pets.
"…What?"
Aris, although surprised by the sudden affe from the creatures, tried to make sense of it. It didn’t seem rational that they would show such trust after everything that had happened.
"…Are we going to that house?" Aris asked, her toral.
It was as if the monsters uood her question. They nodded in unison.
"Let’s go."
Following their lead, Aris headed toward the small house at the far er of the yard.
"…Is she some kind of Monster Queen?" Momo couldn’t help but wonder aloud.
"Well, at that time, she was the one who treated everyone and the monsters. She could even unicate with them, so it’s not too surprising, right?" said Veridith, expining their past enters. Although she and Momo had also participated, it was Aris who had directly treated the monsters and humans, while Veridith and Momo focused on dealing with the perpetrators. That’s why the creatures were naturally more drawn to Aris.
"Alright, let’s follow them and see if there’s anything we help with."
...
Ihe small house, a se of varying races of people sitting or lying on the ground greeted them. The sight was grim.
The individuals showed little emotion, their eyes devoid of life. Their bodies were unnaturally thin, the bones beh their skin visible.
"This… I really want to bst that bastard with magic," said Sisi, her voice trembling with anger.
"Same here," Mira muttered, equally furious. Seeing the miserable state of these people, it wasn’t just about settling old scores with their captain—it was about avenging the suffering of the victims.
"…Are you… the one who saved us?"
Suddenly, a frail young demi-human child noticed Aris and asked, his voice weak but filled with hope.
"You… it’s you, the child?" Aris asked, reizing him. He was the same boy she had treated after he was beaten senseless in a cage by the baron.
"Ah… it really is you… thank you, big sister! If it weren’t for you, I…"
The boy dropped to his kears streaming down his face, his hands csped in prayer.
As the boy spoke, the other victims began to notice Aris as well.
In an instant, the oppressive atmosphere lightened, and a faint glimmer appeared in the eyes of those around them.
"…It’s the Angel," one whispered.
"Ah… it’s a goddess…" another murmured.
"Thank you… my dy," said aheir voice reverent.
The people were filled with gratitude, and their words soon bordered on adoration. If Farkonia and the others hadn’t known Aris wasn’t a divine being, they might have mistaken it for a cult se.
"Wait, Aris was a saint of the church before... Now that I think about it, it makes sense," Veridith mused aloud.
"...What saint?" Momo asked, fused.
"Eh?… Ah! Never mind!"
Diana, caught off guard, actally blurted out her thoughts, earning a puzzled look from Momo.
Before Momo could press further, Elyssa pinched Diana hard in the side, making her freeze.
"Really, you’ve beeending to be clueless for so long that you’ve actually bee clueless?" Elyssa muttered to herself, though Momo didn’t catch her words.
"…Seriously, Diana, still trying to act cute? You’ll see what happeonight."
As Diana tried to py i, Elyssa was already plotting how to get back at her.
"By the way, where did Misako and Farkonia go? Wait, aren't they both missing?"
As Elyssa's mind wandered, Momo gnced around and realized that Misako and Farkonia were o be seen.
"Now that you mention it, they were gone as soon as we ehe house," said Marlyno, recalling that the two had disappeared unnoticed as they approached the building.
"Don’t worry too much. With Misako and Farkonia’s strength, there’s no one who could threaten them. And if they get into a fight, we’d definitely know. They must’ve just gone off for something else for a while," Veridith reassured them.
"Alright. Let’s take a look around and see if there’s anything we do to help here."
