A Dream About Horizontal Adjustment

We have just moved the pnet into its new position.

It’s now a moon orbiting a truly massive gas giant, just like the st pnet we moved. The hardest part of this setup is getting the speeds of revolution and rotation correct to ensure an even day-night cycle.

My job is done for a while now and I take my leave on the previous pnet we moved over here. As I ride in a car with a friend of mine I comment about how unnerving it is to have the gas giant constantly looming above, taking up half the sky. Even worse though is the horizon. Due to the pnet’s size, it almost feels like standing in a bowl at times. It’s disorienting.

My friend tells me that all the settlers from Earth always have the same compints, but you get used to it eventually.
