“What a bullshit thing! I should’ve just stayed at home today,” said a pretty young woman.
“True. It would have been all warm and cozy sitting near the fireplace, eating some smoked steak and drinking some beer. It should’ve been like that. God damn,” a bearded man muttered.
In the dark night, a group of men, women and children sat around the campfire under the sky full of stars. And, a husky was pushing a woman with its head showing its eagerness for meat.
They held sticks made from tree branches and patiently roasted the meat with the campfire.
From time to time, they would check the meat as they feared that those precious things would be burnt. It was beef and they felt that they might not be able to have that again in a short while.
Sven provided the meat for everyone and each person only got like five pieces of a dollar coin size.
Of course, there were also small slap-size fishes being roasted around the campfire.
Their main dish was a two meter long unknown sea fish which looked like a grouper.
Since they suddenly arrived at this place, some of them started to have a hard time.
They found troubles when they had to poop. They wasn’t able to drink water as freely as they used to be when they’re thirsty. They couldn’t watch entertainment on their phones when they’re bored.
They couldn’t play video games when they’re bored.
They couldn’t just dine out nor simply order fast foods when they’re hungry.
They were also afraid that they would be trapped on this island for ten to twenty years like in stories of survivors who appeared on an island after shipwreck or plane crash and stuck on it for decades.
After spending an entire morning in finding something to eat, they only had some coconuts from the coconut trees near the beach and clams on the beach as their lunch. Fishing wasn’t fruitful.

Although they were able to catch unlucky crabs and clams living on the beach, they agreed to save these for the next day after a discussion. They’re afraid that the foods would be running out.
At the lunchtime, Sven stated that he wanted to move the camp into the forest full of unknown.
Not everyone agreed to it. But they realized that they had to because of water supply issue.
Although one could see plenty of water at the beach, these water were after all undrinkable.
A middle aged man called Sean didn’t want to venture into the forest.
His reason was that they would be able to seek help from passing by ships and planes if they had stayed at the beach. Some people also agreed with his opinion. The group almost split into two.
At the end, it was Elizabeth who asked everyone to carefully think about what to do next and to discuss it again later at the dinner. Only then, they were able to finish the lunch peacefully.
Time back to the dinner time…
After everyone had the roasted meat and fish, they started to discuss about what to do next.
They all knew that finding a fresh water source was very important for them.
Even though they had been drinking the water which they pooled up together sparingly as little as they could, these non-renewable water were going to be consumed soon.
After all, they didn’t bring much water since from the start. Half of water mainly came from Sven.
“Mr. Sean, we gotta move into the forest no matter what,” Sven said.
Sean rubbed his short dark hairs while wearing his usual serious face.
Everyone looked at him and waited for his answer.
“I do understand the difficult situation which we are currently facing. But I still hold onto the opinion that this beach camp can’t be discarded,” Sean said.
“Mr. Sean, the beach isn’t safe. It’s no shelter and we also need to think about the storms coming from the sea. Mr. Sven is right. We need to relocate into the forest or a suitable place,” said a man.
That man was not simple. It’s him who climbed up the coconut trees for coconuts at the morning.
Sven, he and another guy called John led everyone to find and catch crabs, mussels and clams.
The fishes they just had were also caught by three of them after spending hours in fishing.
He introduced himself as Kanghi. He said it meant raven. He got his long hairs in braids.
He wore a simple set of native’s traditional clothes and an iconic headdress made of dark feathers.
Kanghi called it war bonnet. It’s crafted from polar bear leather adorned with raven feathers.
Sven had a chat with him and he held a lot of respect on this middle age man a lot because this man could really do a lot of things.
The crowd started discussing again in small groups after Sean lowered his requirement.
