Darkness descended on the forest. Nova’s succubus eyes could still see very clearly. Beornia looked less tense than she had before. She still was alert though. Nova was trying to process all that happened, not just the way Beornia kissed her and confessed her feelings to her, but also the whole genocidal rampage the padin had been on. Can Beornia really redeem herself? If the padin goes back to her old ways wouldn’t all that blood fall on Nova’s hands as well? What if Nova got killed? Will Beornia massacre everyone reted to her death?

  A faint smile emerged on Nova’s face as she found morbid amusement in the irony of how she perceived Beornia as reliable and capable, but has learned that the padin is a dangerous and unstable person barely holding her persona together.“What has you smiling?” Sapphire asked Nova quietly. “Could you be thinking about how she devoured your mouth,” Sapphire teased while looking at Beornia’s back.Nova took a few moments to process what Sapphire said. The succubus buried her face in her hands and shook her head.“I can hear you,” Beornia said firmly. “Sapphire move to the front I can’t see anything in this darkness,” Beornia ordered. Sapphire’s twitching ears pressed themselves to her head and her tail stopped wagging.

  Beornia stopped walking, waiting for Sapphire to take the lead. “Stop moping. You spent most of the day with your lover.” “Wuh, You said you can’t see?” Sapphire spluttered as she blushed.“I can’t, you are just predictable,” Beornia said as Sapphire passed her. “And stay alert for me,” Beornia petted Sapphire’s head.Sapphire’s ears perked up. She looked very alert. “I think we are getting close to the hill.”

  Beornia mumbled a chant. Her eyes glowed with holy light. “It would be best to take him by surprise. Run to his location with Sapphire then use a lot of holy chains followed by one of your troll sying nces. Sapphire don’t use fire, use lightning. Or use earth to trap him.” “He did use my fire to burn down the gate a couple of days ago,” Sapphire reminded herself. “You are really lucky to have three equally strong combat elements,” Beornia said.“What about you?” Nova asked Beornia. She probably is good with some magic coming from a royal family.“I can only write, and use holy magic sparingly,” Beornia replied.

  When they got to the base of the hill. Sapphire and Nova started running up the hill. “Hey, where are you going?” Beornia yelled.The padin kept walking forward as if nothing was amiss but her body was coiled ready to react.

  As Nova approached the top of the hill Liam appeared out of the fog. “Now go fulfill your end of the bargain,” Nova ordered. “She won’t stand a chance,” Liam smirked arrogantly.

  The hobgoblins charged down the hill toward the two golden orbs that pierced through the fog at the bottom of the hill. Liam nonchantly walked down the hill. Nova summoned three independent lengths of holy chains. They wrapped themselves around the other demon. When she unched her holy javelin a strong gale surrounded Liam’s body knocking the javelin off course and dissipating the chains. “You should not have done that. I will make you and your cute little consort mine by force,” Liam spat out angrily as he rose into the air with the help of his wind.

  Sapphire pov,

  The hobgoblins charged down the hill. Sapphire put her arms on the ground, causing the earth to crack and quake. The slope became full of holes that the goblins tripped over and rolled down the hill. A small orb of golden light came out of Beornia’s spear efficiently banishing the fog.

  A dwarf archer with glowing gold eyes loosed arrows. Each arrow he loosed hit the exposed face or neck of a tumbling goblin. Sapphire breathed heavily as she watched. Tired from all the magic she used. Taller archers with simirly glowing eyes loosed a volley. These new archers were not nearly as accurate as the dwarf. Some arrows missed, gncing off helmets and imbedding into mail hauberks. The few goblins that made it to the bottom of the hill got stabbed by Beornia’s spear before they could orient themselves. The padin raced up the hill mindful of the holes Sapphire had made. Sapphire sank to her knees wishing she could do more, but she was just a novice with battle magic.

  Nova pov,

  Liam sent a compressed bst of wind toward Sapphire. His posture and positioning telegraphed his move. In desperation Nova summoned a holy shield to protect the distracted Sapphire. The shield effortlessly absorbed the wind. Another bst of wind cut into Nova’s shoulder. “Submit or do I have to cut you to ribbons for you to know your pce!” Liam decred excited.

  Nova summoned a shield. Seeing the shield Liam moved closer the wind that hit the shield died down. But as Liam stared into Nova’s eyes the gale picked up Nova from behind. The wind bit into her skin, as she was dizzyingly tossed around Liam in circles. Nova couldn’t think she didn’t know how to escape the gale that was tossing her around. The wind had already cut her dress to shreds. Shallow cuts started appearing all over her body. Finally in what felt like forever the wind threw Nova to the ground. The taste of blood and dirt filled her mouth.

  Nova moved her slime self away from her humanoid self to find a better position. Liam approached Nova with a smirk on his face. “Do you see the difference between our power and experience? You can’t even hurt me without hurting yourself,” Liam decred. “Call me master, become mine and I will take good care of you,” Liam offered again.Nova’s cuts and bruises were healing quickly. She got off her face and on her knees, “M-master,” she said weakly.

  “What did you say I couldn’t hear you,” Liam said as he confidently approached Nova closer.“Master I will do anything-” Nova saidSuddenly the huge form of slime Nova engulfed Liam completely from behind.“As if I would submit to the likes of you,” Nova spat out as her slime self absorbed the terrified demon.

  Nova closed her eyes, relishing the taste of the primal destructive force of nature that wind is. She could taste aiding birds in flight. Knocking down massive trees. Blowing storms. A gentle breeze. She could feel her slime self grow in power as she absorbed the magical power from the arrogant demon. Sapphire’s essence tastes far better than his. Nova thought as a smile pyed on her lips.

  With Sapphire in her thoughts Nova opened her eyes looking for the wolf-girl. Instead Beornia turned her attention to her. Beornia’s green eyes still glowed with the golden holy light. “I didn’t think you would take him all by yourself,” Beornia praised. “Come on let's go,” Nova shook her head vigorously to refocus her mind, and ignore the feeling of absorbing so much magic power at once. Nova finally noticed Sapphire panting on her knees. She ran to Sapphire, and scooped her up in her arms. “Did I do enough?” Sapphire asked weakly in concern.“You did plenty my pretty wolf,” Nova responded, kissing Sapphy on the forehead.“The hobgoblins were so scary. I left the demon all to you,” Sapphire rambled. “You did plenty. You protected me from those kobolds earlier. You are a sweetheart,” Nova said as she pressed Sapphire’s head onto her breast.With a small smile on her face Sapphire fell asleep in Nova’s strong arms.

  “Too bad we won’t have evidence that we killed the demon,” Nova said.“Me, the dwarf thane, and the few huskarls here are all the evidence you need,” Beornia responded, rubbing Nova’s head and horns. Sapphire's contented breathing tickled Nova’s skin. I hope she doesn’t drool. Though anything she does is cute. Nova brushed Sapphy’s cheek, the wolf-kin’s ears twitched as she slept.

  At the bottom of the hill the dwarf and a few huskarl archers waited. “That was brilliant, I just hope a worse demon doesn’t take residence in the town before we have the strength to recim it,” Stigandr said, offering their hand to Nova,“I’m sorry my hands are full at the moment,” Nova said. “She sure is a handful. Wilfrith didn’t handle her gently enough, and for that I apologize,” Stigandr said with a genuine smile on their face.“The apology only means anything if it comes from Wilfrith himself,” Nova responded.“I wouldn’t count on it. He broke my nose in a drunken brawl a few years ago. He never apologized, he did grumpily give me a health potion the next day though,” Stigandr expined.“Then how would he apologize in his own way?” Nova asked.“Maybe he would buy you both clothes or something. You both are as naked as on the day you were born,” Stigandr replied.

  The walk to the camp wasn’t that eventful except Beornia constantly catching Nova as she slipped in the mud, And Nova turning Beornia down whenever she asked to hold “the baby.”“Can you stop? I don't think Sapphy appreciates getting infantilized,” Nova said after Beornia asked for the third time.

  “Fine suit yourself, You look like you are struggling,” Beornia said.“Sapphy carried me most of the way here. I’m just returning the favor,” Nova said. And she feels so soft and looks so cute, her ears feel so nice. I like how her tail flicks me in her sleep. Nova smiled brightly.Beornia sighed and shook her head as if she could read Nova’s thoughts.

  “There is the camp,” Glyndwr said. “Where have you been this whole time?” Nova asked him.“I made sure he didn’t recruit the local monsters to his ambush. And I have been killing any dangerous monsters in your way so that your pn could succeed,” Glyndwr expined.“Glyndwr is more of a loner; he often only shows up if it is important. So why are you here?” Beornia expined.“I’m checking up on Sapphy, and The town’s people might need convincing to accept a demon especially a succubus,” The only people awake at the camp were a few huskarls and of course Wilfrith. There were pnt tents all over the meadow “Building a pnt city took a lot of work,” Glyndwr sighed, as Nova took in the sight.

  “Is the other demon dead?” Wilfrith asked.“The succubus Nova. Took him on by herself. Let me tell you don’t want to get on her bad side, she is cunning and ruthless,” Stigandr said. “Liam was not that bright. I mean he was very foolish. Please don’t expect me to be able to do something like that again,” Nova said in concern for own safety and peace of mind.“I agree Nova is but a novice. I’m shocked things turned out this way,” Beornia said. “Could you have a little confidence in me please?” Nova asked a little hurt at how ruthless Beornia’s criticism was.

  Nova and Beornia walked toward one of the pnt tents in the camp.“Unearned confidence get’s people killed,” Beornia grunted in response. “If you want to fight beside me as my equal you have a lot to learn. So does Sapphire I will take it on myself to train you both when we get into town,” Beornia decred. “I can’t wait for your brutal training regimen,” Nova responded sarcastically.“You can’t? Are you sure? Those without resolve drop out,” Beornia responded cautiously.“Fuck no, I’m so not looking forward to bruises and sore muscles,” Nova said. “I would train that princess Juniper, but they are so soft they cry when I hit them with training weapons,” Beornia said as she led Nova into her pnt tent. How vigorously was she swinging those training weapons? Nova thought as fear for her future took hold.Nova let out a sigh as her feet sunk into the soft pnt floor. She gently let Sapphire down, careful not to wake her.

  “Can I have a bucket of water? Both of our feet are caked in mud,”Beornia cut open one of the vines and squeezed the water out of it into a bucket. She did that a few times until the bucket was full enough. Then she put a rag in the bucket.

  Nova grabbed the rag out of the bucket, and scrubbed Sapphire’s pretty furry wolf-like feet and ankles. She carefully cleaned the cws between her toes. Sapphy’s rge footpads felt really soft “Ahh toebeans,” Nova said out loud.“I see you have discovered one of the many joys of being intimate with a wolf-kin,” Glyndwr said as he entered the pnt tent right as Nova made her excmation.Nova’s face flushed with embarrassment that she actually said that out loud! She wanted to sink into the floor, and become one with the pnts. Thankfully Glyndwr ignored Nova, and id down beside Sapphire to hold her. Sapphire made some cute noises and moved a bit before settling back down. After cleaning her own feet Nova snuggled against Sapphire on her other side. Slime Nova guarded the door. Despite the influx of wind energy that slime Nova was consuming Nova was able to fall asleep.

  Nova felt her whole slime body get jarred, her slime self wobbled as she woke up armed. Nova sat up and opened her eyes alert. It was just Beornia leaving the tent.“It’s time you woke up anyway,” Beornia said. “Eat a quick breakfast the townsfolk might give trouble before we can leave.”I still have a lot of erotic energy left over. I'm good. Nova thought. Nova pnted kisses on Sapphire’s cheek. The cute wolf-kin nuzzled into Nova’s kisses before sitting up rubbing her eyes. “Is it morning already?” Sapphire mumbled.Glyndwr also sat up and stretched, being a light sleeper.Sapphire munched on some bread and dried meat that Beornia handed her.

  Not worrying about putting on clothes, Nova and Sapphire followed Beornia out of the tent.Unlike st night the camp was alive with people moving around. The morning was cold Nova immediately regretted waking up Sapphire and losing her warmth. As if knowing exactly what Nova needed Sapphy hugged Nova from behind.“You are so warm,” Sapphire said drowsily running her soft naked palms up and down Nova. Sapphy’s furry wrists felt very fluffy and nice. “We really need clothes,” Nova muttered.“I like you like this,” Sapphire said huskily with her head resting on Nova’s shoulder, as she used her fire magic to warm them both up.

  “How are you here?” The head priest from the temple asked with surprise and anger in his voice.“We killed Liam the demon and came back,” Nova stated pinly.“Liar I don’t believe you, and nudity is unseemly,” The priest said. “I don’t see you compining when I’m naked,” Glyndwr stated as he narrowed his eyes at the priest. “All creatures created by the gods can live naturally.”“Surely a succubus does not fall into the category of natural; she is a demon!” The priest yelled.“A demon that saved you, and me,” Beornia stepped between the priest and Nova.A lot of the town’s people murmured to each other unsure of which side to take.

  Before the situation could escate, Wilfrith and Stigandr rushed over. “Beornia, Stigandr and their huskarls saw her kill the demon that invaded our town, and killed our people. It’s not your pce to judge her priest. We will take her to the bishop and let his grace decide if she deserves a reward or punishment,” Wilfrith decred in a commanding tone the expression he wore was scarily stern.I'm not out of hot water yet, but this is the path I have chosen I might as well see it through. Nova resolved herself to meet this bishop.
