List is quite the predicament in a room meant for interrogation are four characters. Find themselves in a difficult situation. To be precise, there's a woman tied to a chair. Evelyn is stressing out trying to get her to confess and tell her what the plan is. Lisa is trying to calm Evelyn down explaining that they might have the wrong person Mugen agreeing with Evelyn that she's just too suspicious to let go and then there shell the only one who is leaning against the wall. Many observing this from an outside would assume that he is just studying the situation before making his move. Most would think that the only problem is the people who know mooken knew exactly what he was doing and that was taking a nap aka his favorite pastime of course Evelyn is still protected considering a wolf was by her side to add contacts to the situation, we would need to go back.

  It all started when the instructor. I stated that for their next part of their training they will need to do a daily patrols. His explanation was any good paladin should be more than capable of looking out for trouble without being put on a mission specifically for such things. He then explained that at all parties involved need to be well instructed on proper patrolling etiquette and disciplinary measures and things of that nature shall of course yawned it off. Not paying attention when the day came. The four of them had agreed to set up into a four-person squad doing daily lookouts + when the idea of 4 coming into play for meaning. Lisa and Morgan as well as Evelyn. Also the wolf set to guard Evelyn. Shell did not participate. Instead, he would take his daily nap on the highest point of town where he can catch wind of anything that may deserve his attention. Of course. The instructor saw this as being both insubordinate and unreasonable but since he could not really do anything about it. He had to let it go.

  During one of these patrols something interesting happened. It started when Lisa went to go get lunch. She had taken to a sandwich shop that gives a bit more meat than usual like fix slaps and me not like multiple slices eh? Her meat-based giant had really grown since leaving the Forest while waiting for the butcher to finish making the sandwich for her. She happened to notice out of the corner of her eye, a suspicious guy chilling in the corner of the room. Much like something shell would do. Out of curiosity she kept watch at them. Both did a quick handshake and then left without ordering anything. Curious after getting her lunch for her. Evelyn and Mugen she decided to bring this up to Evelyn and get her opinion on it.

  Evelyn: yeah, that's more than suspicious. Frankly speaking, I wouldn't be surprised if they were dealers and you just watched a drug exchange.

  Mugen: it was probably an exchange of information. Maybe even a gang Meetup of sorts like a pre-meetup Meetup. I've seen a few of those. Heck, some gambling houses I've seen do that sort of thing to make sure that they vet the people that they let in before they get caught by the guards.

  The three of them discuss what Lisa saw while eating their lunches. Lisa, eating in a more refined way while the other two eating more like hooligans off of the street. At one point they decide to look into the matter of it more and do some searching.

  After an hour, Lisa again finds the guy hanging out on a street post before she has the chance to confront him. Mugen stops her insisting that they wait and see after about 30 more minutes like at the sandwich. Shop another random person walks up, gives her a handshake and then walks away. Nothing said no conversation. Just a random handshake and then I'll walk away. Curious. Logan decides that instead of confronting him now they should wait for him to move and watch where he goes half for 10 more minutes. The guy starts to move again. He walks away from the street, posted heads down the way. He then arrives at a waterway looks over the Riverside and waits he waits for about 2 hours. I'm going to strange woman with tattoo shows up. Gives him the handshake and then walks away.

  At the end of the day the guy heads back to his apartment Lisa and Mugen watching from a distance throughout the whole shaking people's hands from a passerby's perspective it would almost look like he's just a very popular guy with a a hand shaking habit but Lisa just couldn't shake the feeling that something about what he's doing just was off.

  The two return to the barracks where they find Evelyn scolding shell for slacking off.

  Evelyn: were supposed to be a team we're supposed to survey and protect together. Why do you insist when going off and doing your own thing.

  Shell: I do my own thing because Independence breeds better results than dependency the more attached you are to something the harder it is to let go of it when the time is right.

  Lisa couldn't help but nod at Shell's words while his actions are incorrect, his excuses technically not incorrect. But then again Logan points out that that Shell likes to manipulate The narrative by using two unrelated things and then connecting them. He also states that these types of people make great con men. Lisa is a not to know what a con man is. That sounds interesting.

  After Evelyn finishes scolding shell who then proceeds this exchange information with the other two. According to Evelyn, she found someone that did not match the description Lisa gave but was doing the same thing as Lisa described, Lisa confirmed that she found the guy and watched them for the whole day who was doing the same thing all over. The group became curious over what was going on then shell interrupted.

  His words famed slight interest. His actions express the lack of interest laying down on his side while cleaning out his ear.

  Evelyn: you know something wait what am I saying? Of course you know something only you would know something sus lack of motivation or interest out with it. What's this about?

  He gives a light chuckle then turns over to his other side to face her. His face clearly showing even less of an interest in what they're talking about.

  Shell: it's a conspiracy. There were a bunch of revolutionaries that are trying to serve the current game. You know normal citizen things. You can't have a civilization without a conspiracy to rebel against the king what they are doing saves me a lot of trouble especially if they've successfully killed the man.

  his words made Evelyn's eye twitch while his lament towards the king is reasonable, she can't have him running amok and or encouraging blatant treason even if it's not as blatant.

  Lisa and Mugen found Shell's words to be both impactful, useful and concerning. Of course. Evelyn was the only one who considered going to tell the instructor what they just found out. Lisa being the smartest person in the room currently stopped her.

  Evelyn: why are you stopping me? If I don't do something, we could be caught in a civil war which could postpone our training.

  Lisa: is classifiably unreliable, especially from anyone who knows his personality. Well, I'm pretty sure he what he's saying is true. It's better to have evidence to back things up and I'd prefer to just settle things quietly, then stir a hornet's nest that could result in a civil war either way and I get the feeling. The reason why Shell's telling you this is because he wants that.

  Add those words. She glances over at Shell or at a subtle smile on his face. Then noticing that he wasn't getting his way. He decides to just take a nap so that night the group concocted a plan they plan that shell did not participate in well, not actively. He gave suggestions that weren't helpful.

  After going back and forth for a while, they eventually reached the old reliable objected the target off the street and interrogate them which leads to the current situation. They spotted one of the target s interacting with the mysterious man booked a room for interrogation and have been getting nowhere since.

  The Target they abducted was a woman of average age.

  Women: I don't know anything.

  Evelyn, we just want to know what's the deal with you shaking that guy's hand everyday.

  woman: I told you already. He's just a really cool guy that I know that hangs out of that spot. So every time when I see him, I just feel obligated to shake his hand as a sign of respect.

  Mugen: anyone would have a brain can tell you that's BS. To be frank, I know quite a few cool guys yet I don't shake their hands every time I see them.

  Lisa: wait, we're not supposed to shake a person's hand every time when they see them. Have I been socializing wrong.

  Mugen: Lisa, here's a sandwich. Go over by shell and let me and Evelyn handle this.

  Lisa sits down next to Shell who's been casually sleeping against a wall standing up. It is very much unclear if this is an intimidation tactic or if he just genuinely felt comfortable standing up taking a nap.

  Evelyn: okay if that's the case, where did you first meet that guy? How long have you known him? + Why do you always shake hands their at that light post and not anywhere else. Don't you ever make plans to meet up? Do you know where he lives?

  She's clearly drawing straws and is just listing off things that you would normally do with the person she knows in order to see if she'll slip up.

  Woman: Yes no why should I tell you who knows where anyone lives and stop asking me weird questions.

  Evelyn was convinced this woman was just a friend, Mugen was less convinced those are details. Anyone can just bluff out on the fly. You could even coach people and saying things like this.

  Evelyn starts to lean towards letting her go while Logan insists that she knows something. Eventually the arguments starts to escalate until Evelyn remembers is that she has shell.

  Evelyn: she'll stop slacking off and do some work.

  Is what she shouted at the sleeping armory laying against the wall he opens up one eye looks around. Lets out a sigh then stands up. Does some stretches and then walks over leans in front of the woman. Eyes are up and down. Gives her a sniff then a gross expression goes on his face and then reaches into her pocket. Pulls out a crumpled up piece of paper with some numbers on it. Laughs a at her and everyone in this room sits crisscross in front of her and begins to go in a rant.

  Shell: you disappoint me. I had such high expectations for you. I thought maybe just maybe these guys can be the ones that finally burn normania to the ground maybe kill the king? Heck, I was even looking forward to watching with the crowd as they roast the man over a fire like the pig he is much to imagine. Not only does your plan lack so much creativity, it got caught so easily over something as stupid as a handshake.

  Shell tosses the paper he took from her pocket over to Mugen. He opens up the paper and looks it down at it. There are just some numbers on it. Not quite sure what to make of it.

  Shell: those are gay coordinates. She and our group are smuggling and monsters. Hoping to start a riot once he have enough of them. The plan is while everyone's distracted dealing with the monsters, their group sneaks into the castle and kills the King.

  Evelyn: how the heck do you know this.

  Shell: cuz she's dolled up like she's trying to sell herself. She smells of monsters. Those numbers are the exact coordinates for the Eastern gate. I would know, considering that often imagine myself using the four Gates of the city to create a sea of fire to burn this Kingdom to the ground.

  Mugen not wanting to encourage shell. Simply nodded at his desire to get rid of this country.

  Woman: did you just call me a prostitute.

  Shell: I didn't but you do smell like one.

  Woman: I will kill you

  Shell: try at the moment you touch me is the moment I put you in the ground which is more than a disgrace like you deserves.
