A short and teasing ugh escaped Casey and she addressed Kody. “Does Faye know about that yet?” Still chug, she got up and walked over to Kody, and leaned over their shoulder. “I am sure that she would love this thing. More than just a camera, huh?”

  Slightly jumping when Casey touched them, Kody quickly recovered and poio the few extra things they’d applied. “I ’t cim credit for all of it. She mentioned w on a drone in passing and I came up with this.” Kody offered a hesitant smile and shifted the shoulder that Casey was toug. “No, she doesn’t know about the device yet.” They rexed and pointed out other features. “It break down the chemical makeup for the elements present.” They picked up their palm-sized board, “I assume it has a power source?”

  Holding both of her temples and blinking her eyes rapidly, Sylvie answered ftly, “Y..yes, um…quartz of some kind, that is holding the dooren…” She closed and opened her eyes again. “...It’s also covered with tons of soil…” She finally looked at Kody directly, her eyes bck as coal. “I think the thing is made out of mercury.”

  “We don’t o remove all the soil, just enough to expose a power source, and then attach this to the quartz.” Unfortable with looking directly at the others, it took a few seds for them to sheepishly look around the table. “We s the doorway and see for sure it is mercury and use.. well, our blood to disrupt the door until we figure out something to close it.” They looked directly at Sylvie. “A week at best.” They reached down on the floor and picked up a handful of bloodstone powder. “Use this to i from the shadewraiths and over the soil itself..should give us time to get some sort of solution.” Kody powered up the drone. “Shall I send it out?” Kody waited for the others to nod and then they used their iPad to trol the little devibsp; It was the surprise kiss from Casey that made him crash the droo one of the walls. “Um…thank you?”

  “Ha, I was right.” Casey giggled and gave up her seat to sit in Sylvie’s p. “Hi there.” Flipping her hair to one side, Casey looked back over her shoulder. “You didn’t tell me to leave or rub your cheek.”

  “And…you liked it.” Casey joked and leaned her head against Sylvie’s chest.

  “Miss Rivers, who doesn’t like being kissed?” Kody looked up, their power-button eyes pulsing green. “Iure, I would like to be asked first.” They dropped the subjed trated on the drone.

  Murring softly against Sylvie’s chest, Casey mumbled, “Kody is going to give us about a week..want to tell them what we have to do my lovely Luna?”

  “Do you have an off button?” Sylvie joked and tinued, “Yeah, I said that earlier…I really mean it.” A few ughs from the rest of the makeshift cil got Sylvie’s attention. “While she is being particurly frisky, Casey is right. We have the means to close that portal permaly.”

  Takiurn to speak up, Daood up in her chair so the others could pletely see her. “That is a relief, what do we have to do, Miss Mikoda?” Furthermore how much risk is there in this given that your friend Kody has given us about a week.” She looked at the others, then to Kody. “I don’t think it's any act you are saying that the deviade is going to fail on or around Halloween.” When Kody didn’t look up Daniel walked across the table, and k in front of them. “Gear head? I was talking to you.” She waved her arm close to their fad then to Sylvie. “It’s like having another version of Brienne.”

  “I am right here you know.” Brienne ented and tapped her pho up a news station.

  It was the movement of the table that got Kody to look up and see Daniel a foot from him. “Oh.” They paused and swiped their bangs out of their face. “No, it isn’t an act. We all know that Halloween be difficult and many of us don’t hunt that night.”

  Recalling the uping seasoer let his head flop against the built-in pillow within the chair. “Fuck. I’d fotten that Halloween is ing. I always get so hungry that night, and no one has blood that will sedate us.”

  Jumping off the stage, Amber made her way to the table and sat down in Casey’s former seat and then waved Jessica over. “Even I know this one.” She ughed and nose-kissed Jessica. “It’s a side effect of the curse really. Why this happens on Halloween, is kinda a mystery. I mean Franco didn’t even know and he was ht hundred.” Adjusting her ward in her p, Amber took a breath and disclosed the secret that Casey didn’t know. “Most people believe in Halloween sly in some way, be it for fun or actual occult and it ralizes their blood for the evening. It’s an evening of bottle feeding.” Amber ughed.

  Having gotten her answer, Daniel wiggled her way to her seat and looked over at Jason. “Looks like there are at least two couples getting fy. How about me and you get a little fy? I don’t take up much space.” Daniel ughed and raised her eyebrow daringly when Jason lifted his head and gave the small woman an odd look. “Okay, Fine.” Daniel reached up and grabbed Jason by his cheeks. “I’ll say it directly, you lovely spe. I happen to be unusually attracted to you.” Emitting a small frustrated sigh when Jason sat pletely still, Daopped asking and plopped her little ass right in the man’s p, and pulled his arms around her. “You’ll get used to it.” Feeling her forearms begin to itch, Daniel lightly scratched until the feeling subsided and then half-turned in Jason’s p. “Yep, official now…and we have lots to discuss.”

  Impulsively running his hand through the multi-colored hair that Daniel possessed, Jason curled his eyebrow and tried to sound authoritative, “I do have a choi the matter.” He bared his fangs. “You ’t just e over here and-”

  A small hand cmped over the rger man’s lips. “You don’t have a choice, and I see the truth in those bloodshot and achy brown eyes.” Daniel ughed, “I am not sure where you thought you had a choibsp; You are a edian, now I see why they call you Jester.” Getting to her knees, Daniel gave the man a kiss on his cheek. “Now when I move my hand, you’re just gonna sit there and accept this.” Sitting back down on her man’s p, she then snapped her fingers. “Yeah, hair. Get to it.” Fag the others Daniel rolled her coppery eyes and preteo pant. “Got him, dies.” She waved her hand. “Sorry Sylvie, let’s hear the rest.”
