Chapter 22: “Witches and Wards.” – Part 2.

Within a few mihe dual vampires had fed and successfully pced the four men iheir car with smiles on their faces. “Now you will wake up in a few minutes feeling tired, yet refreshed.” Sylvie calmly dictated with her ented breath. “You won’t care how you got in the car, gentlemen.”

“We won’t care, ma’am.” All four voiced hollowly.

Nodding to Casey, Sylvie backed away from the car and watched her progeny close the car door. “That was more paihan I thought it would be.” She fided in Casey as the copper-haired beauty danced her way over. “I see you are still very hungry my dear. Your eyes are almost a deep e. Reminds me of a spooky Halloween.” Sylvie wiggled her eyebrows, “It’s sexy.”

“Everything I do had better be sexy, old dy.” Casey ughed and she air. “Thanks for the backup on them. I wasn’t going to stop.” Casey wiped the thiima from her lips, “I hear three heartbeats and smell…this is strahe blood from two of them?”

“Odd.” Sylvie added and motioned with her head for Casey to follow. “Let’s check them out, what’s the worst that happen to us? We eat a little more?” Sylvie giggled and kissed Casey on the nose. “Um, Sweetheart…” Sylvie sucked air iweeeeth, “Damn, you are a messy eater…and I ’t think.”

Giving Sylvie a cute yet odd look, Casey looked down and saw the streams of blood that had smeared across her chest and stained her yellow low-cut blouse. “Fuck.” Casey brought the sanguine-den colr to her lips trying in vain to suck the blood out of the cotton. “I should have goh bck like you. Damnit.”

“No. No.” Sylvie stepped up to Casey’s cleavage and licked e breast . “Yummy.”

Uo suppress her happiness, Casey let out a small tickle-snicker. “Now you owe me, again.” Casey shifted so her other bloody breast was within lig distance. “Don’t stop now, I have two you know.” Casey tilted her head bad little rumbles bubbled up from within her. With Sylvie’s dainty red tongue w to clear the blood, Casey ran her hands through her lover’s hair delicately. “F…fuck..” Casey shivered and had her excitement beginning to rampage her young vampiric body when Sylvie stopped. With a pleading grunt, Casey hooked Sylvie under her and lifted her so they were eye to eye. “Do we have to go to this cil meeting?” Casey whined.

“Sadly, Yes.” Sylvie relutly pulled away, leaving Casey blood-free. “The others o know An did this and how the shadewraiths be stalled while we make these cuff things.”

Pushing her frisky mood to the back of her mind, Casey patted Sylvie on the shoulder, “They are bracers. I said that before.” She paused, “I see how well you listen to me.”

Darting off into the woods and using the deeper shadows to keep herself camoufged, Sylvie. “I do listen to you, my blood-tart.” Sylvie kept her voice more quiet than a light whisper on a breeze, “I wasn’t aware that one word would cause such a problem. As it is, the book tells us that we will need zin the …er..bracers, but I swear that ’t be right.” Sylvie approached the three people, notig that all of them seemed to be young college students and drinking heavily. “I don’t sehe third oher, Casey. That only means ohing.”

“Do tell me my tongue-princess.” Casey teased and caught up to Sylvie with the elder vampire’s leather jacket on. “Yellow isly stealthy.” Casey sucked on her bottom fangs, “Oh, Two guys and a girl? This is going to turn out bad for her.” She poi the bong that the girl was holding and had just taken a deep pull from. “I smell her blood just fine. She’s so high, she won’t know what’s happening.” Casey crouched and almost took off when Sylvie pced her hand on her back. “What’s up babe?” Casey whispered and looked at her mistress with red hunger pulsing in her golden eyes.

Gently tugging her partner back deeper into the shadows, Sylvie crouched down and disclosed what was on her mind. “I am fairly certain that the one you ’t smell is a ‘true believer’. Tell me Vivieold you about them.” Watg as Casey shook her head, Sylvie quickly expined, “The short version is that there are some humans that are either born special or have a deep belief system that makes their blood impossible for us to drink. It is almost like a poison.” Sylvie’s eyes got wide, “Oh, Oh…I have the perfect example.”

“erfect example, Sylvie?” Casey watched her lover as she started smiling. “Let me in on the secret.”

Kissing the top of her progeny’s head, Sylvie grinned wide enough to show off her four fangs. “A ‘true believer’ would be like a mage, or the people we fought at the farm. Their blood does nothing for us and the most important part is that they see through our illusions and will not be charmed.” Sylvie shook Casey lightly, “Do you remember smelling Tatum’s blood or was it her?”

Thinking back to the underground within Phantasmagoria, Casey stood up and pced her hands on her hips. “I don’t think I smelled anything. She just came out of the dark and did that thing to light up the room.” She grabbed Sylvie’s hand, “That is fug freakish. So a mage is one of these ‘true believers’? No wonder you ried to drain Brian.” Sniffing the air once again to firm what was happening, Casey shivered. “That girl smells delicious, and will get a little buzz.” She stuck her to and pyfully panted. “Letmme have her please….”

“Okay, okay.” Sylvie agreed and hugged Casey tightly. “To think…you oold me you were straight. Now you want to go eat strange girls in the middle of the night.” Hearing Casey snicker, Sylvie stopped her pyful tone. “I don’t think the guy is a religious believer…it doesn’t fit with being out here getting stoned.” Sylvie tapped her lightly. “Alright, here’s the pn. You go in and charm the two and when the guy takes off…assumiakes off, I will grab his leg and hopefully see if he bears the mark.” Sylvie poio the tailgate where the three had stopped talking and ughing and had started making out with each other, mainly focused on the girl. “I’m right behind you, Casey. Whenever you are ready.”

“This might get ugly, Sylvie.” Casey offered and stood up. “No promises that this will go nicely, I am still stupidly hungry.” Casey peered longingly at her lover. “Let me try this on my own.”

“Do what you want and have to do, Casey.” Sylvie offered solemnly. “If you take them down, then you do. It won’t be the first or your st time doing so.” She pced her hand on Casey’s shoulder as the newborn squatted. “I won’t judge. You know full well you are a predator now. Killing will just happen, so it’s best to not let it bother you.” Sylvie heard Casey take a hesitant breath, “Hey, look at me a sed.” Cupping Casey’s when the newborn turned, Sylvie smoothly spoke. “It’s great you are holding on to some of your morality. That’s kinda defining you…” Sylvie massaged Casey’s shoulder. “...Don’t hold on too tight, because we live outside of that coded w of morality. Sometimes, we hunt and want to kill.” Sylvie retreated her hand, “Okay?”

“Yes, I feel better having heard that.” Casey shook her head, “I am not really sure why I was fused, to be pletely ho. I am crouched here and ready to feed, that part of me is primal…ag. My throat is burning so bad, it’s hard to think straight.” She gnced up at her mistress and lover, “Blood is everything.”

“Blood is everything, Casey.” Sylvie gave Casey a soothing hug and backed away. “How you acquire it doesn’t really matter.”
