Dear diary,

  The Butcher sculpture turned out okay. I'm thinking of making a bird house next.

  I wen't for a walk with Theodore today and we saw a bunch of birds making their nests. I want to see if I can build a little house for them and if they're gonna use it. Maybe I'll befriend the birds and they'll let me pet them! That would be pretty cool.

  I read about carrier pigeons in one of Gina's books. Apparently a long time ago they used to be really common. Maybe if I train the pigeons they would carry letters for me and I could exchange letters with Poppy. And we could talk even if we're far away from each other.
