  James couldn’t help but smirk at her timing. It was as if she had some sort of radar that let her know precisely when he firaining. “How do you always know when I’m done here?” he asked, folding his arms across his chest in mock disbelief.

  Mili shot him a pyful grin, the ers of her lips curving mischievously. “Easy. I’m usually ihe ter. Perks of being the boss’s daughter, remember?”

  He chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. “Right. How could I fet?” Mili’s fidend charm were part of what made her so captivating. The way she carried herself, always ready to tease or lend a helping hand, made her a stant presen his life.

  “Anyway,” Mili tinued, her eyes twinkling with mischief, “I’m heading to the coffee shop. You’re ing with me.”

  James raised an eyebrow, feigniance. “And why exactly do I have to?” He was genuinely curious, knowing that Mili often had her own agenda when she decided t him along.

  “Because I said so,” Mili replied, her tone mock-serious but her lips curling into a teasing smirk that made it impossible for him to take her seriously.

  James sighed dramatically, a pyful eye roll following. “Fine, fine. Lead the way.” He khat once Mili had her mi on something, there was nuing with her.

  As they started walking dowreet, James couldn’t help but tease her. “So, what’s so special about this coffee shop anyway? Is it the coffee, or is it your secret ir for plotting world domination?”

  Mili ughed, her eyes sparkling. “Oh, definitely a bit of both! But really, the coffee is amazing, and I could use some caffeio keep up with your endless energy.”

  “Endless energy? You’re the one who seems to have boundless enthusiasm,” James shot baudging her pyfully. “Sometimes I wonder if you’re part squirrel with all that energy.”

  She gasped, pg a hand over her heart in mock offense. “Squirrel? How dare you! I prefer to think of myself as a very well-trained ninja. A ninja with a caffeine addi!”

  “Now that’s a scary thought,” James said, trying to suppress a ugh. “A ninja on a coffee high, roaming the streets looking for more ttes to fuel her shenanigans.”

  Mili feigned a serious expression, leaning closer as if sharing a top-secret mission. “Just wait until I get my hands on that espresso. The world won’t know what hit it!”

  James shook his head, uo tain his ughter. “I think I’d better hide my coffee supply, then. Who knows what kind of chaos you’d unleash?”

  “Oh, e on! You know I’d only use my powers food,” she replied, her tone light and pyful. “Besides, who else would be around to keep you eained during those interaining sessions?”

  James smiled, appreciating the banter. “You’ve got a point there. Your entary does add a certain fir to my training.”

  “Exactly! Plus, I bring snacks!” Mili added, dramatically gesturing as if it were a grand offer.

  “Snacks?” James perked up at the mention. “Now that’s a winning bination. What kind of snacks are we talking about? Because if you say kale chips, I’m out.”
