The figure removed his hood revealing a young boy about the age of fourteen. His skin was kissed by the sun and he had scraggly hair that was entwined with fishing line. Looking curiously at Marwynn he said “I was hoping you would not ruin my escape plan.”
“And just who are you?” challenged Muriel.
“Fin’s the name and who are you?” he replied.
“I am Muriel, and this is Marwynn and his friend.” She pointed to Declan.
Marwynn sat up and glanced at Fin “You said escape plan, do you mind sharing?”
Fin smirked, “well, it is more of an expectation of escape.”
Slumping down again Marwynn responded “you do not have a plan.”
Fin confidently stated “Well. I don’t know how, but my sister is coming.”
Muriel scoffed and crossed her arms, “Is your sister Lady Revna, because that is the only one who could get us out of here?”
“Bite your tongue! That name is a curse” Fin glared at Muriel.
From outside the carriage voices called out to one another. There was some sort of scuffle happening. They heard the sound of swords clashing and Fin’s mouth turned up in a victorious smile. At the final clash a man screamed out “hold her!” A few moments of quiet and the crunching of the shadows boots drew closer to the carriage. They heard a click of the lock and Fin’s smile faltered. A stream of light flooded across the floor of the carriage and a girl was thrust inside. Behind her the door slammed and the floor shook. She stood up and dusted off her dress. Her face resembled Fin’s closely but she was at least four years his senior. Her hair fell to her waist and was wrapped in the same fishing lines as her brother. Striding over to her brother, she embraced him as he called out “Morganse! I knew you would rescue me!”

After a few moments she let go of Fin and asked “Did they harm you?”
“No, I’m fine, look not even a scratch!” Fin boasted.
Annoyed by Fin, Muriel muttered “I guess the escape plan was to be caught.”
Smirking at Muriel, Fin said “Ah, the naysayer! You don’t know my sister, it is not your fault.”
Grabbing her brother’s arm Morganse scolded “Fin, hold your tongue, this is why you are here in the first place.”
“Yes sister” Fin said unconvincingly. “So when do we leave?”
Muriel asked quizzically, “Am I missing something?”
Fin began, “My sister has a special ability..” but before he could finish his sentence Morganse pushed him, “Fin! I told you to hush! We don’t even know these people.”
“They are harmless,” gestured Fin, “just a girl, a fly, and a servant.” Fin chuckled as Muriel, Declan, and Marwynn glared at him.
Morganse began, “Fin! Wait… a fly?”
Smiling annoyingly Fin replied “Yup.”
Morganse turned towards the three others and deduced that the only possible person that could fit that description was Marwynn. She asked “How are you still alive?”
“Luck I guess” Marwynn shrugged.
Morganse’s smile stretched out mischievously and whispered, “You want out of here?”
“Yes please!” Marwynn exclaimed.
Muriel eyed Morganse suspiciously, “Of course we want out of here” she interrupted. “But you have still failed to tell us how.”
Morganse turned to face Muriel her eyes glimmering. She held out her fist and rolled her fingers out. She turned her palm face up to reveal a rusting key. “With this” she smiled.
Turning to Fin she said, “I have been watching their movements since you were taken. We leave under the veil of night.”
