TBE Chapter 71

  TBE Chapter 71

Ezekiel and his two brothers enjoyed the dinner that he had prepared. He was very proud of himself for being able to cook diverse and delicious dishes and he knew that he and his brothers wouldn’t get bored with them soon. He spent a couple of copper coins to purchase two liters of cold mineral water in plastic bottles and cast a spell on it to taste like fruit juice.

He was glad that his system shopping site had the function of a trash bin that allowed him to put the trash that came from his system to be disposed of, otherwise, his 4th space tab would be filled with boxes, plastic bottles, and plastic containers that used to contain all the items that he purchase from the system.

Although he could recycle most of them or even sell them, their appearance and materials were going to be very questionable and that could result in him being questioned by those authorities in the places where he would sell them to who would be curious enough and he didn’t want that problem.

That problem that Ezekiel currently had was that even though the geography book that came from his old tutor was basically complete, at least, for their specific area, the map was very general and vague so he didn’t know when they would encounter an actual town. He would like to reach one since that was where he would initiate his plan of selling some costly items like salt and other spices. Ezekiel knew that if he did that, they shouldn’t stay longer than a day in that town.

Ezekiel spent 20 copper coins to purchase a blackboard and a set of chalks. He told his brothers that their first lesson would be held that night. Robert and Luke complained since they wanted to play with their toy ship after dinner especially when the idea of making Ezekiel wake up their toys using magic.

He was a bit thankful that the grammar book that he received from his old tutor was for beginners so he could just follow the book. Ezekiel began writing the alphabet on the blackboard and once he was done, began teaching his two brothers. He did follow his promise to the boys that he would only spend an hour teaching them and after they were done with the lesson, Ezekiel almost laughed out loud at the look of relief from both Robert and Luke’s faces.

Robert then asked if Ezekiel could “wake up” their ship but he said to his brothers that it might not be possible since the Merry consisted of several tiny parts and the spell that he was using to wake up things could only work on something that consisted of very few parts, at least that was what he thought but he tried it nonetheless and was surprised that the spell took.

The ship grew legs and hands began walking around to the delight of his brothers. Ezekiel commanded the Tiny Servant toy ship to follow his brothers' commands then the boys ran off upstairs to the washroom to start playing.

It was around eight in the evening and since it seemed like no one was tired yet, Ezekiel figured that it wouldn’t hurt his brothers to keep playing, at least for an hour or two.

Ezekiel himself went to where the cart was located, which was inside the stable house. He planned to check his full inventory of items that were placed in the cart and arrange them so everything would be organized.

His cart actually had three large boxes and two new stackable boxes that he recently made. The boxes contained all the things that he previously purchased like kitchen utensils like stoves, pots and pans, plates, spoons, forks, glasses, and knives. They also contained tents, blankets, pillows, and lanterns. Ezekiel made sure that all the things that he purchased from the system looked like they were made locally. The only equipment that was questionable was the flashlight that he bought before but that was inside his 4th space tab.

The third box contained all the wooden arts and crafts that he purchased from the system that he was selling to the villagers but this time, he arranged them to make sure that nothing would be damaged during their travel.

On one of the stackable boxes that he made, Ezekiel put in their clothes and he planned to put in the boys’ bags and toys if they were not using them on that same box. In the last box, he put in several pieces of wood that he was using for his crafting since they used to be scattered all over the cart’s floor. He planned to create one more stackable box so they would have an extra they could use.

After re-arranging all their things the boxes were neatly lined up at the back of the cart and there was now a space between the driver's seat and the boxes. Ezekiel immediately spent 2 silver coins to purchase a small table and three small chairs that they could use in that space. He and his brothers could use it to eat or his brothers could use the table to read and write or to play. Normally, placing the table and chairs would be a problem in a moving cart since the furniture would move around but since Prince Charming moved so steadily, it shouldn’t be a problem and if worse comes to worse, he could nail the table and chairs on the cart to prevent them from moving around.

Ezekiel looked satisfied with the arrangement that he did with the cart and he tested it himself if Prince Charming would have a problem pulling it but he pulled it easily so the donkey shouldn’t have any problem pulling it.

If the weather suddenly turned for the worst, he could easily cover everything with the tarpaulin that he purchased before that was now placed on top of one of the boxes.

Ezekiel’s crossbow was also placed on top of one of the boxes so it would look like he placed them there intentionally for easy access but to be honest, if something or someone attacked them, the crossbow would remain unused since he would just use magic and to hell with hiding his power since their lives were more important. Besides, if all the attackers were dead, no one could spread the information about his magic.

When Ezekiel checked the time in his system browser, he was surprised to see that two hours had passed. He thought that the things that he did were only taking him a short time. He did plan to continue crafting the third stackable box but since it was late, he went to the bedroom house and called his brothers, telling them that it was time to sleep.

The boys ran downstairs with their toy ship following them using its tiny feet. The ship running about looked comical and his brothers agreed with him since when they saw it, they all laughed so hard.

The boys jumped to the bed while their toy ship climbed the bedside table that was located nearby. Robert and Luke kept giggling while looking at their toy moving about. Ezekiel was glad that his brothers were happy.

After casting all the necessary spells that he usually cast before sleeping, they all then went to sleep. At first, Robert asked if he could continue telling them stories about Luffy and his gang but when he pointed at Luke, Robert saw that his little brother was already asleep. Robert sighed and closed his eyes and to Ezekiel’s amusement, Robert was soon asleep as well.

The next day, they woke when the sun shone on their faces through the bedroom window. They ate their breakfast and their vitamins and then they prepared to leave. Robert and Luke asked Ezekiel to wake up their ship again so he did and soon the Merry ship was following the boys using its tiny feet with its tiny hands waving about. The ship’s actions were making Robert and Luke laugh and the boys' laughter made their morning enjoyable in Ezekiel’s opinion.

Ezekiel removed all the traces of magic in the campground and soon they were on the road. When Robert and Luke first saw their cart and the things that were arranged neatly including the three chairs and table between the driver seat and the boxes, they kept saying “Wow!” Both boys climbed the cart, sat on two of the chairs, and started playing with the toy ship and their Luffy and his gang action figures that were placed on the table.

Ezekiel started moving their cart but he kept looking behind him to check if the chairs and table were stable during the cart’s movement. They were stable enough but to be honest, Ezekiel would not last long since he would probably get dizzy because of the vibration of the chairs and stable while the cart was traveling the road.

Yuki Onna was following them high up in the trees making sure that they were safe. Soon Ezekiel felt like napping since the road was nice and cool and the boys' laughter behind him was like a lullaby.
